Sassy Kat and Baby Cory

Last weekend Sassy Kat's friends threw her a retirement party in Paris. Today, with her final post, she officially enters retirement.

We have enjoyed Sassy's creative and fun ideas. Percy will always have a special place in his heart for her, as she took him under her paw when he played in a CCSI production. She invited Rusty to join some of her friends on a cruise. Rusty had so much fun on the trip, he didn't notice he was sunburned until he returned home. And although many find us a bit overwhelming en masse, Sassy wasn't intimidated by our number, so we were occasionally invited to parties as a group.

Sassy, we love you and we will never forget you. Thank you for these past two years of friendship. Perhaps you will send an occasional smoke signal to let us know you are okay. Farewell, for now, our friend!

As often happens in the cycles of life, as Sassy Kat has been closing down her blog, her little sister Gracie has taken over the keyboard. We look forward to getting to know her better. Perhaps she has an adventurous and mischievous streak too.

*******************
We would like to thank those of you who hung in for the past weeks and voted for Merci in the Cutest Dog Contest. She didn't make it into the semi-finals, but she is still the cutest dog in our hearts.
*******************
An update from Eric on Houdini, the last Lakemore Cat rescued. She has pneumonia --
HELLO ALL ~ My little girl Houdini is doing somewhat better today. I finally got her to eat, Fancy feast Shrimp did it yesterday. Back to the Vets today, she will be surprised Houdini is even alive :o} ~ So am I ~ MANY Purrs of thanks to all Jan’s wonderful readers for donations and PRAYERS ~ She still needs a Home when she is well. Many Blessings Eric

To lighten this post a little, we're going to share a really cute video we found of baby Cory. His dancing reminds us of a human version of Snowball the cockatoo. That's a compliment. We love to watch Snowball keep rhythm.

Tocks for Derby's Purrthday

Buddy: Hey, it's Derby's birthday and his mom is having a commentathon. For every comment left on his post, she will donate 50 cents to the Humane Animal Welfare Society - HAWS. One comment per blog. Also, since it's Tocktober, she will add some money to the fund for every tock photo posted during this month (retroactive). So go find a tock pic and post it soon.

Crystal: This is our tock photo. Don't recognize the other end? No, that's not me. I don't have a floofy tail. That's Rusty checking out last year's Christmas present from our friend Kay.

Cotton: The information is in Derby's Purrthday post.

Cameron: And more good news. World's Best Cat Litter is having a drawing to give away cat litter to "a charity, foundation, rescue group or needy cat that could use some litter." We fall under the "needy cat" category since Jan won't give us an allowance and claims she doesn't have any money when we ask, but we recommended Eric because he still has a number of the 101 Lakemore Cats he rescued in his garage to recover from spay/neuter and be socialized for adoption. On top of that, he has 14 special needs cats of his own, plus he does TNR rescue. You can recommend Eric or a rescue of your choice at WBCL's blog, Clearing The Air.

Percy: Don't forget to vote for my rescuer Merci as cutest dog. Her voting page is
Buddy: This video is just for fun. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for sending the link, Evelyn.
Eavesdropping.

Merci: Don't forget, this is the last day of the retirement party for our good friend Sassy Cat. And the party has a surprise ending. (Doesn't everything, when Sassy's involved?) Stop by CCSI's blog for After the Party..

Cat Cerebellar Hypoplasia

This is a cute video of a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means its motor skills are off but the cat can live a long, healthy, happy life. A friend took in two such kittens a few years ago.
Cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia video

Don't forget to stop by Sassy Cat's blog. She is retiring from blogging. You'll have to scroll down a few posts to find the reason why -- if you aren't already aware of why she hasn't been blogging the past few months. Her CCSI friends are giving her a (virtual) 5-day Retirement Party in Italy. This is day 4. Sassy has brought you a lot of joy these last couple of years. Let her moth (mother of the house) know how much you appreciated all the effort she put into Sassy's adventures.

And if you aren't committed to another dog, vote for Merci as cutest dog. All you have to do is register and then click below her photo to vote. Her voting page is

Animal Welfare in Romania

We'd like to introduce you to our new friend Brindusa in Romania. As she says, "Much of the adults hate animals and they force their children to repress the natural feeling of loving animals." Brindusa not only loves animals, but she has a dream. Since it's her dream, we won't tell. Perhaps she'll blog about it one of these days.

She is also involved with Three spotted brothers Association. The website was made by Peace Corp volunteers but there is no one to maintain it at present. Still, it is interesting to go there and read the "About Us" page. You can click on "Read about our members" at the bottom of the page -- a group dedicated to the protection of animals.

Brindusa's blog is http://dashalovinganimals.blogspot.com/. We hope you will stop by and meet her and her daschunds. And if you can, leave her a comment. Anyone working to help animals in a country where animal welfare is not a popular cause undoubtedly can always use some encouragement.

She has a google translate button on her blog and a google translate bar dropped down for us on the Association's page.

The 12th and final week of the Cutest Dog Contest began today. Please stop by and vote for Merci. We really need your vote. And pass the link on to your friends.

Sassy has invested a lot of time to bring fun adventures to the blogosphere the past two years. She started the CCSI capers you've all enjoyed. She is now retiring for the sad reason explained in her post the other day and CCSI is giving her a sendoff party in Paris. It's time to give back and put a smile on her moth's (mother of the house) face. Please, go by Sassy's blog and then also to her ongoing party at CCSI, and take a moment to leave a message.

Happy BD Sassy's Moth

The Happy Birthday, Merci greetings we received went right over our heads today. And suddenly they whapped Buddy right in the middle of a yawn. So we rushed right over to the Cat Blogosphere and sure enough, there is Merci listed among the birthday celebrators.

We hate to say this, especially since Jan is so bad about remembering our special dates, but Merci's official birthday (and Gotcha Day) is next Wednesday, July 23.

But today is a special day for someone. And we almost missed it. Please drop by Sassy's blog -- you all know Sassy of CCSI -- and wish her Moth (mother of the house) a happy birthday! She is...

Percy: OWWWWWWWW. You stepped on my paw, Sam! I was typing. Why would you step on my paw? Ever? You're at least 100 times my size.

Sam: You were about to tell a lady's age. Guys aren't supposed to do that! And I am not 100 times your size. Maybe ninety -- tops.

Percy: And besides, I was not about to give away her age. I was about to say she's on a break, but sooner or later she'll be back to read her email.

Sam: Oh, in that case, I'm sorry I stomped your paw while you were typing.

To get back to the subject before my paw swells and I have to limp to bed for the remainder of the week, today is Sassy's Moth's birthday. Please stop by Sassy's blog to wish her Moth a happy day. We miss Sassy.

And thanks to all of you who have sent green paper info. And to ML and Aunti Deb for the auctions they've posted. The Cat Blogosphere is full of surprises and kindness.

Cotton Is 10

Our Cotton is turning 10. She doesn't look a day over ... Oh, we're not supposed to discuss a lady's age, are we! Let's just say, she is as beautiful as ever.

This is our pretty girl, napping in one of the beds Jan makes up for us every winter. She and Rusty always seem to have their eyes closed when it's photo time.

Happy 10th Birthday, to our sweet tortie Cotton!!

Note: Thursday is Sassy's doth's birthday. (That's dad of the house, in case you wonder.) You know Sassy, the head of CCSI. You can surprise her doth (big time!) by leaving a message for him on Sassy's blog .

And Friday is Jan's. She's going to be --

Percy: OUCH!!!!!! You stepped on my paw. And I was sitting on the typing chair. Why did you do that?

Jan: Sorry, Percy. I just wanted to see what you were typing. You were about to give out my age. I hope you aren't expecting anything for your birthday next month?

Percy: Mumble, mumble, mumble.

Jan: What, Percy?

Buddy: I think he's trying to say his paw hurts. And he's sorry you stepped on it. And since he can't type with a sore paw, we're just going to have to skip your birthday this year, Jan.

But today is Cotton's day and we're all going to celebrate her favorite way. We're going to nap.

Holy Night Video

Jan received a link to a video she really likes. She says it is beautifully done and a good reminder of why we celebrate Christmas. We liked it too (it even has animals in it) so we decided to share it with you and your humans. We hope you will enjoy this.

Tomorrow is a special day here. We know you won't be able to guess what it is but we hope Jan will give us enough computer time to post about it.

Oh, Sassy and her Moth and Doth (mom of the house and dad of the house) have found a way to communicate. Please keep them -- and all our friends (and strangers) that were hit by this storm -- in your purrs and tail wags (prayers, for you humans).

From Sassy: I have teleported along with doth to a Higher Coffee Grounds, they have heat there, coffee & hot chocolate, and internet connection. We lost power on Friday morning and have been told that we will not get power until Sunday afternoon. Our house is 57 degrees right now.

But they will have a warm place to sleep and Moth and Doth will be able to take a hot shower there.

PS -- Be sure to visit The Cheezits and their mom's blog Cool Moms Rule. Colby has been a regular escape artist but he got busted (his favorite hiding places found) when his mom used a PetCam to take photos of where he went. She now has 5 PetCams to give away. Visit Cheezits for the link to the details of how to enter the contest. It's easy. And fun (for your humans) if you win. Of course, if you're already an escape artist, you might not want to win one of these PetCams, but your humans will!

A Christmas Miracle

Moki -- you know Moki, the kitty with a neurological illness -- wants to create a Christmas miracle for another kitty, one named Bella. And if you haven't met Bella yet, you just have to pop over and meet her. She is unbelievably fast for a kitty with no use of her back legs. Perhaps you can donate a dollar or two to help purchase a special cart for Bella. If not, you can purr for her. (We dogs are wagging our tails like crazy on her behalf.) Bella is a special needs cat spending the holidays with Moki and Crystal, so you can meet Bella here. We sure hope there will be a Christmas miracle coming for her.

Jan will never catch up on here to-do list, and that means neither will we because we're getting little computer time. But we're trying to get around to say hello as we can. We are embarrassed to have received a couple more awards since we are already behind 2, 3, or 4 months in posting those we promised to post ASAP. And we will post them! Hopefully, while it is still 2008.

Sassy's CCSI IV is as exciting as the others. We can't wait to find out "who dunnit" in tomorrow's final episode.

We understand Beau is not in renal failure but he is very sick. You can catch updates on Beau on the Cat Blogosphere. One is forthcoming when mom Cathy gets some much-needed rest before Beau needs to rush his extremely stressed mom to the human ER.

There is an update on both Pepper and Tucker. Photos and a video will be posted later today.

And there is a short update on Miles and Billy Sweet Feets.

That's all we can remember at this moment, but as usual we're sure we'll remember lots of things we should have added after we click "publish."

PS - (Didn't we tell you we'd think of something after we published?)

Daisy can use your help too.

Don't Miss CCSI IV

None of us are in the latest CCSI production, but Percy was in CCSI II and Cameron in CCSI III. The work was hard but they had a ball and they made a lot of friends among the cast and crew. So we would like to give this new one a short plug to help promote the new show.

Most of you visiting us are already looking forward to the next 3 days, but for any of you who haven't yet heard or have forgotten --

CCSI IV, The Momomo Caper, will run December 15, 16 & 17. We hope you already have it marked on your calendars. The place to view the show tomorrow through Wednesday is Sassy's.

We're looking forward to it and we hope to see you all there!

Happy First Blogoversary, Sassy!

Today is Sassy's First Blogoversary and she's throwing a party. You're all invited.

Were having a ball playing painball ... sorry, we mean, paintball with Sassy, Opus, Momo and some friends, including Karl & Mrs. Oz's new little brother Tintin. And here come some new participants. Looks like there will be quite a group playing today.

To tempt you a little, we have a few photos to share.

Crystal (in case you missed HIS name in the picture. Sigh. We called him "her." Aaaaaaaaaaaaak! Thank you for pointing the typo out, Sassy.) Crystal, stop laughing. This isn't funny.

Stop by Sassy's for the story and more photos. She's serving refreshments, including a variety of special pizzas.

Oh, and Sassy always has a special gift to send home with her guests. This time it is Abstract Paintball Art.

We don't think we'll have any trouble remembering today's fun and excitement, but we thank you for this gift, Sassy. We'll hang it directly across from Jan's bed so she will see it first thing every morning .... to remind her we were invited to Sassy's party and she wasn't.

NOMS Day 2008

In honor of the one-year anniversary of NOMS Day, Karl of the Cat Realm has declared today NOMS Day, an international public holiday.

To celebrate, Scylla, Socks & Charybdis invited us woofies to be their noms friends and to join them for a picnic at their pond. They said it was okay for us kitties to come too and to invite our new noms friend River the Beagle on the picnic.

(lower left, clockwise) Charlotte, Buddy, Myrna the Wheelie, Sassy, Merci, Momo, Asta (in water), Charlie, Samaritan, Scylla, Socks, Charybdis (center). Photo by Asta

Scylla, Socks & Charybdis' mom thought River was such a helpful and thoughtful guest. He volunteered to help her set up for the buffet. So we kitties helped him, and we missed out on the group photo. But that's okay. We had fun helping and we still had plenty of time to swim and visit at the pond.. And helpful guests get invited back. Or at least we hope they do.

We finally got to meet Myrna the Wheelie from Asta's. She has quite a sense of humor. Asta does too. So it's no wonder she and Asta are such close friends.

We had such a great time today with NOM friends, we think every day should be NOMS Day!

Happy Birthday, Sassy's MotH

Even though she has temporarily abandoned Sassy and Sassy's sissy/guest Momo, we would like to send very special birthday wishes to Sassy's Mom of the House. She turns another year younger today.

As you can see, we lack a few skills in the photo department, but we hope it's the thought that counts.

So Sassy's MotH, we're all going to sing to you, if you don't mind. Ignore Buddy's howling. That's his idea of hound singing. It comes natural and at least he's on key, which is more than can be said for some of us who shall remain nameless but whose initials are Cameron.

Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, dear Mom of the House,
Happy growing younger birthday to you!

Sassy, Momo, Opus & Roscoe spent all yesterday baking and making final preparations. The party for the Mom of the House is being held at Sassy's. Stop by and have a slice of that yummy-looking cake.

Update: We received these lovely guest gifts from Sassy. She said there are plenty, so we took one of each because we couldn't agree on whether to pick cat or dog art. Stop by and pick up a guest gift of your own.

Percy Turns Four

JFF has 3 birthdays in July, so we're going to incorporate them into one party post, but we'll tell their stories individually. We know when Cameron was born since he was born in the house next door. We know approximately when Percy was born since he was so young, not even weaned, when Merci rescued him. But Merci's age is a mystery.

We're going to tell Percy's story today. This is his day.

A few years ago, while Merci was walking Jan, Jan heard one of those birds that drive her crazy because it sounds like a tiny kitten crying. Merci ran to the old mill fence and used her I-found-a-cat whine. The more Jan tried to move her on, the more frantic Merci's whining became.

And then from under a bush crawled a wee kitten. Merci was ecstatic. Jan raced her to the mill office to let them know she needed help, rushed home to grab a carrier in case the kitten was afraid of Merci and arrived, panting, back at the fence before two maintenance workers arrived.

One scooped up the kitten, searched the area for possible other kittens, unlocked the gate and placed him in Jan's carrier. Jan swears Merci was walking on clouds, her feet never touching the ground, as they walked home. Passersby smiled at Merci, her head high and her plumed tail waving at warp speed.

Percy is Merci's cat. Yep, Merci is the only woofie we know personally who has two rescued cats of her own. But Cameron's story will have to wait until later this month.

Happy Birthday, Percy!

We have trouble believing you ever sounded like a bird, but Merci says it's true. We hope you'll be around for a lot more years.

We've been hiding a few things Sassy sent for our birthday guys and gal. When Sassy gave Jan the palm pilot for her birthday last month, she also sent a calendar with the July dates because -- Well, you know why ... Jan forgets. We just love this calendar she made. Click to enlarge it.

The 3 got these lovely birthday cakes from Sassy, Momo (Momo is spending the summer with Sassy while her SS is working in China.), Opus & Roscoe.

Despite our fridge being nude on the outside, we do have lots of goodies on the inside. Tuna, ham, crab and shrimp, for starters. There is plenty to go around. And lots of cake! We didn't organize an official party. But any who stop by, even if for the first time, please feel free to help yourself. We would just set out the food, but it isn't a good idea in this heat.

Sassy sent this great tree tower. Percy is beside himself. He can't believe he has his own tree.

Sassy, this is Percy. Thank you for the tree and the cake.

JFF: And thanks for reminding Jan so she could let JFF post this in time.

Sassy to the Rescue

Shhhhh. Cameron, don't knock the glass over or Jan will come to investigate. We've got to get this special surprise posted before she finishes washing the dishes.

When we wrote the post for Cotton's birthday - which Jan forgot at the last minute, after all Sassy's hard work to smuggle in a birthday card and gifts for Jan to hide until Cotton's big day - we wrote this:

We really need to get Jan a palm pilot. We have no idea what one is but we figure anything that has a pilot must be able to help her. Do you think we can buy one with 2 buttons, 6 pieces of kibble, a cotton swab and whatever change we can find in the couch?

Well, sweet Sassy read of our dilemma and sent Jan a surprise.

Recognize it? It's a palm pilot and Sassy has already entered the important birthdays in July so Jan won't forget them. (She will anyway, but, hey, it's the thought that counts. We're all trying to work around Jan's forgetfulness.)

A big thank you, Sassy, from all of us at JFF. We're so excited we can barely --

What's that, Jan? No, we're not into anything. We're just waiting for you so we can blog. No, you don't have to come in and check on us. We're -

Surprise! It's a palm pilot from Sassy.

Hey, Sassy, Can you believe it? Jan asked what it's for. See how badly she needs this. She forgot her own birthday.

We really need to find her a new memory. You don't know where we can find one, do you?

Cotton Turns 9

Sassy, thank you for coming by and reminding Jan tomorrow is Cotton's 9th birthday. If you hadn't Jan would continue to hog the computer and we would completely miss Cotton's big day.

Cotton, we want to tell you how much we admire your tortietude, even though it often drives us crazy. But without it you wouldn't have lived long enough to grow up and become our big sister. We were glad you were invited to join TATA (Tough A*s Tortie Association) because you are one tough lady with a soft heart. If you missed it, you can read our sister Cotton's story here.

Our good friend Sassy sent you a birthday card. But since Jan's birthday is Thursday, you have to share with her. Just the card, though. (We think you look adorable in that hat, Cotton!)

From Sassy, Momo, Opus & Roscoe. And they're all wearing your photograph, Cotton.

You know Sassy. She loves to bake, so she made plenty of cupcakes. More than enough to go around. So any kitty or woofie that drops by, help yourself. There are more thawing on the kitchen counter.

Sassy sent you this, Cotton. You very own kitty-size bed. Of course, you'll have to share that too, you know. We insist.

Sassy didn't forget Jan. She sent Jan a Funny Farm size bed. This is a terrific gift! It's big enough we can all pile on it at the same time.

Oh, are you serious? Jan intends to sleep in it too? Do you think there will be enough room for her?

Sassy, thank you so much for remembering, even though Jan forgot. We really need to get Jan a palm pilot. We have no idea what one is but we figure anything that has a pilot must be able to help her. Do you think we can buy one with 2 buttons, 6 pieces of kibble, a cotton swab and whatever change we can find in the couch?

We really hope Victor Tabbycat will come by to sing "Hippo Birdie Two Ewes" to you, Cotton. He does the best rendition of that birthday song.

Happy (assigned) 9th Birthday, Cotton!

Oh, and we don't want to forget to wish you a Happy Birthday too, Jan. (Note to Victor Tabbycat: We would advise you to NOT sing the "Hippo" song to Jan. She takes everything literally.)

Missing Magical Van

Sassy sent us a poster to help alert kitty and pup bloggers that there is a very serious situation in Italy. The magical flying van that carried Opus & Roscoe and their friends on so many exciting adventures is still missing.

We can't bear to consider there might not be any more adventures in the Italian boys' van. So, please, keep your camera handy and your eyes open.

Send any information or recorded sightings to Opus & Roscoe. They really need to find out who stole it and where the van is now.

Click on poster to visit Opus & Roscoe's Catnaps in Italy blog.

Birthdays and Friendship

Our good friend Sassy stopped by last night and discovered Crystal turned 10 on June 1, although we were late posting it. She immediately baked Crystal some cupcakes to share with any kitty, pup, hamster, rabbit or .... So help yourself. There are plenty.

Sassy, Momo, Opus & Roscoe sent this beautiful birthday card.

And Sassy sent over this bag of kitty presents. Percy wanted to dig right in and check out everything for Crystal (he's young and impetuous) but Samaritan threatened to sit on him if he did.

Sassy threw Rusty and Samaritan a big surprise party in March. Cotton's birthday is later this month. Cameron, Merci and Percy will all get a turn in July. So Crystal gets to open his own gift bag!

And Gentle Annie, Mollie & the Gypsy dropped by this morning with a card for Crystal. Thank you, KC.

Crystal: I just wanted to thank everyone for thinking of me. Jan isn't big on celebrations but she's always here for me, so I guess you could say she gives me daily "presence."

********************
JFF: Oh, and speaking of Sassy, she posted photos yesterday of eyes for visitors to guess which kitty they belonged to. No one recognized our own Cameron's eyes in one picture. We are ashamed to admit we didn't recognize him either. And we see him daily. Cameron, we are sorry. Please forgive us.

Cameron: I would never forgive any of you, except I didn't recognize me either. I guess I just have a plain and indistinguishable face. Sigh.

Cotton: Oh, Cameron, that's not true. You are a handsome tuxie. You just don't wear your tux on your face where others can see it.

*******************
This is the same photo of Crystal we posted yesterday, but ....
notice anything different about it?

CrizCats made us a logo for our online photographs. We'll have to play around with it to find how to size it properly on photos, but isn't it neat? Thank you, Criz! We love it.

Merci is Tagged

Chance's woofie brother Shadow tagged Merci for a meme. Merci, mind you, because she's sooooo cute! "Sooooo cute" are Shadow's words.

We think it's about time some woofie noticed how cute she is, especially after that photo we've been posting for Deetz's Scary Eye Contest. (The contest ends tomorrow, so woofies and kitties, go vote.) Merci looks like an evil eyed, snarling, wild dog in the photo. But she actually has the heart of a pussy cat.

And now that we've embarrassed Merci by reminding everyone she's sooooo cute, we're going to turn this over to her to do her meme.

(s) Crystal, Cotton, Merci, Cyndi, Percy, Cameron, Rusty & Samaritan

*************************

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player than tags 4 or 5 people and post their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you have posted your answer.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

Jan says I'm about 5 or 6 years old, so I wasn't born yet.

2. Five Things on my to-do list today.

Eat. Walk Jan. Nap. Wrestle with Samaritan. Roll over for treats.

3. Three snacks I enjoy.

Lettuce, the water veggies were cooked in, and a dab of peanut butter on a chew bone.

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire.

Buy a great big house! So there would be lots of room to stretch out on the floor without getting stepped on. With a huge fenced yard so I could race around with Buddy and Samaritan and whatever animals Jan found/fostered that need a home. Buy Jan a car with enough room for Buddy, Samaritan and me to sit comfortably in the back seat together. Oh, and I'd make sure there is a driveway to park it in so she wouldn't have to drive over the curb anymore and park on the lawn.

5. Three of my bad habits.

I don't have any bad habits.

What do you mean, I do too, Buddy? Oh, okay.

When we walk Jan and I see a squirrel - and we see a lot of squirrels on our walks - I take off after it. This yanks her shoulder and she hollers.

When Jan tells us woofies sit, down or whatever, I don't do it because I know I am a good girl, so she isn't talking to me, just the guys. But she gets exasperated and yells, "You too, Merci!" So I guess Jan considers this is a bad habit.

I have excellent hearing, so I let Jan know every little thing that happens in the neighborhood. Even those she can't see for looking. She says this drives her crazy. Oh, well, if I become a billionaire, she'll have a larger car to take her wherever crazy is.

6. Five places I have lived.

I don't remember where I lived before coming here. I do remember spending 5 days in the shelter and any time I run into the shelter manager/animal control officer, I still growl at him. I've lived here ever since. Five years this July.

7. Five jobs I have had.

Jan walker. Treat taste tester. Kitten rescuer. Disciplinarian for Buddy when he was a woofie baby. Cat and dog toy pick up and return to den overseer.

Thank you for tagging me, Shadow. (I think you're cute too, even if Chance wants you to have your own yard so he doesn't have to share with you.) I'm supposed to tag 4 or 5, but we can't remember any blogs we haven't seen this on, so we're just going to throw it open. If you haven't and would like to do this meme so we can learn more about you, consider yourself tagged.

(s) Merci

PS - If you missed the premier of the CCSI III production "The Missing Mummy Caper," drop by Sassy's to view Part I and Part II. Our Cameron was Uncle Bill and he is quite handsome in his costume.

CCSI III Coming

The long-anticipated CCSI III, "The Missing Mummy Caper" is here.

Our Cameron is among the cast and he is so into his part of Uncle Bill, he has asked Jan if he has any nieces and nephews he could adopt. Jan said he undoubtedly has more than he can count, but his birth family's whereabouts are not known to her today.

The mystery - the CCSI mystery, not the mystery of Cameron's relatives - will run Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11 at Sassy's.

Earth Day, A Rose And Criz

Opus and Roscoe sent us this beautiful graphic to post for Earth Day, which is being celebrated today. Stop by their place to read, "How to be a Greener Pet." And you can pick up a copy of this graphic to post on your own blog.

When we dropped by Sassy's, we learned the paws in the graphic belong to the CCSI executives: Sassy, Opus & Roscoe, Momo, Karl and Ruis.

And speaking of Sassy and staff, they are hard at work with auditions for the cast of CCSI III, which was written by Criz. This should be another fun caper.

Tigger the FBI cat and TopCatRules each posted a nice Tribute to Sassy.

Scylla, Socks, & Charybdis presented this lovely rose to JFF, "whose friendship helps lots of kitties and doggies." Thank you for the sweet words and for the rose.

We know Momo already gave this rose to Sassy (as well as to Scylla, Socks & Charybdis), but we would like to give this to both Momo and Sassy anyway, for the support they provided recently when we were discouraged and for the delightful adventures they provide on their blogs.

And we want to thank CrizCats for this award. It was given out to a number of bloggers for compassion during the time Mama Jessica was missing and Criz was sick with the flu.

When an animal or human is sick or a pet is missing, it isn't hard to have compassion. It could be any of us in a similar situation.

Get well, Criz. And give Mama Jessica and her rescuer Papa Jon an extra hug from all of us. We're glad the feline family is reunited.
