Supawstars Spotlight Vs Reality

Taylor:  I'm so excited.  I just got my first blogging award.

Percy:  You mean we all got a blogging award.

Taylor:  That's what I said.  I just got my first.  Since I was the last to arrive, I was implying this isn't your first one.

Percy:  Oh, for a minute I thought you were taking all the credit for the blog.

Taylor:  There isn't actually much to take credit for any more.  We have become erratic in our postings and -

Percy:  And it's all Jan's fault.

Taylor:  That's eerie.  You read my mind.

Percy:  It wasn't hard.  It's always Jan's fault.

Taylor:  I wanted to write a Thankful Thursday post but Jan hogged the computer to piece together her part in a meeting.  She could have waited until after we'd finished our post!

Percy:  You know Jan, she has become an early to bed wannabe.

Taylor:  I think we should thank Kittyclysm for giving us one of five Supawstars Spotlight Awards handed out this month. We're in good company with those other bloggers.

Percy:  It lifted my spirits to read their comment - "Full of warm, happy, and heartwarming stories, Jan’s Funny Farm is where you might go after a long day at work to get a smile on your face in an instant."

Taylor:  That's been our goal, to make readers smile.

Percy:  Hey, that was Jan's theme for the meeting notes she put together - "smile, smile, smile".  She thinks everyone needs to give and receive a smile.

Taylor:  It isn't exclusive to us, but this award made us smile.  We may have been missing in action a lot these last months, but we're evidently not dead and buried!

Percy:  Do you think we should tell Jan about the award?

Taylor:  No, it's our blog.  What does Jan contribute?

Percy:  Oh, I don't know.  The computer?

Note:  We plan to resume the Mousebreath interviews after the holidays.

Imaginary Shoe Inserts

Rusty:  Jan's never going to win the Brightest Human of the Continent Award.

Micah:  Not even the Brightest Human of the County Award.

Rusty:  Do you think we could at least put her name in for the Human Running on Half a Cylinder Award?

Micah:  Not a chance!

Rusty:  *sigh*  I had such high hopes for this year.  If we aren't going to win anything, I guess we might as well tell a joke.

Micah:  Okay.  Tuesday morning Jan leaped out of bed -  No, let me begin again.  Tuesday morning Jan crawled out of bed and wandered around from chore to chore as fast as her feet and fuzzy brain could travel.

Rusty:  Before she even leashed the dogs for a walk, her feet and legs hurt.  Not unusual.  But even though she wasn't wearing inserts, one foot felt like it was on a heel insert and the other felt as if the insert had fallen out.

Micah:  "Oh, great, now these shoes are falling apart, too," she complained.  "I need to find something to change into before I leave for lunch."

Rusty:  She survived the walk but was so busy she forgot to change shoes.

Micah:  She ate lunch at the crowded church soup kitchen. (Yummy sausage dogs and banana pudding - she didn't even bring us a crumb.)  Then she went shopping at Wal-mart with two ladies.

Rusty:  When Jan got home, she rushed the dogs outside to the pee pen, then raced around the kitchen putting away a few groceries.  All she wanted to do was to collapse into a chair and take off those uncomfortable shoes that were causing so much pain!

Micah:  She stopped beside the kitchen table, took a breath, and for the first time that day, she looked down at her feet.

Rusty:  She can't believe no one noticed she was wearing two different shoes.

Micah:  I guess we should be thankful they were at least the same color!

Rusty:  Yes, they were - muddy.

We're joining Pepi Smart Dog for today's Thankful Thursday blog hop.

June Tattle on Jan Day

Rusty:  It's June Tattle on Jan Day.

Micah: Seriously, there's a special day for it now?

Rusty:  No, I'm joking.  But it would have been ungracious of us to post this yesterday.

Micah:  You mean because it was her birthday?

Rusty:   Yes.  We've written about a couple of Jan's Toastmasters club bloopers (Blooper Soulmate) in the past.

Micah:  Do you think she has learned anything from her mistakes?  Wait ... you don't suppose that's the purpose of the club, do you -  to make mistakes?

Rusty: If so, Jan is in the right club!

Micah:  At last Thursday's meeting, Jan completed her year-long presidency of the local club.

Rusty:  Many of you are aware Jan frequently forgets to read her calendar and thus forgets our birthdays and important blogging dates.

Micah:  Are you also aware she can't read a calendar properly when she does look at it?

Rusty:  For example, she has been known to announce the wrong date for the next meeting. Or even the wrong month.

Micah:  This is what ensued when Jan was closing Thursday's meeting. The exchange included several club members.  Jan is in bold font.

Our next meeting will be held on July 11 at -

No, no, it's not the 11th.

Are you sure?

Yes, that's my birthday.

Anyone have a calendar?

Feel free to celebrate my birthday if you want.

Just a minute, I'm looking it up.

The 11th is not a Thursday.

Here it is. July 14th.

Okay, our next meeting will be July 14.
*gavel tap* Meeting adjourned.

Rusty:  In case you're wondering, there is a meeting on the 11th -- of August!

Micah:  And so Jan's presidency ended with the same confusion that has been her trademark.

Rusty:  Way to go, Jan.  Leave them laughing, even if it's accidental.

(Ignore the reflection in the star.)

Micah:  During the meeting Jan was surprised with a trophy.  Even after all the mistakes she's made.

Rusty:  She also received a nice card signed by everyone in attendance.

Micah:  As soon as the meeting was over, she grabbed her trophy and ran before they could remember all her bloopers and take it back again.

Rusty:  She did not.  But she did say if they want it back, they'll have to wrestle her for it.

Micah:  Oh, good.  We can sell tickets.

Hope and Bribes

MICAH:  It's blah and raining, so we thought we would post something pretty today.

CYNDI:  Every year Jan looks forward to when the daffodils bloom along the neighbor's fence.

MERCI:  They're a symbol of hope that spring is coming. And we value them greatly because they are actually supposed to be on the other side of the fence where we wouldn't see them.

BUDDY:  Yes, spring comes eventually.  We just have to have faith that winter will end so we can stop freezing.

RUSTY:  And start sweltering.  Spring and fall don't seem to exist here in the South.

MARCUS:  The flowers were so pretty but the rains and winds took their toll.  They weren't pert for long.

PERCY:  Soon they were bent low to the ground and Jan said she could empathize with them trying to stand under the onslaught of life.

SAM:  They lived long enough to fulfill their purpose for 2015 and are gone now, but we're still here.  A bit bent and bruised, not posting as regularly, and missing one of our own, Cameron, but still seeking to fulfill our own purpose in life. Whatever that is.

BUDDY:  We would like to thank Dezi and Lexi  for passing on the Very Inspiring Blogger Award to several bloggers, including us.  And shortly after, Katie shared hers with us.

MERCI:  We are supposed to share three things that inspired us in the last week.

PERCY:  After Jan buried Cameron, she washed his bedding and threw it into the dryer but the dryer wouldn't work.  Jan said we'd just have to do without one, but a very nice man who knew what he was doing came by Thursday, tested it and replaced the old cord so we have a working dryer again.  Thank you, Jimmy!

RUSTY:  All the weeds in our yard were growing taller and taller and Jan was getting concerned since we don't have a lawn mower.  Saturday she borrowed a lawn mower so the yard looks presentable now.  Not everyone would loan their mower to a neighbor.  Thanks, Joann and Jim!

SAM:  And when Jan came home from returning the mower, she found some goodies on the porch.  Someone was cleaning out their fridge because they wouldn't be home to eat the food in it and brought a big fresh salad with a few leftovers to Jan.  (We'd like to say "brought it to us" but Jan isn't big on sharing with us, not even spaghetti with sausage.) Thank you, Johnnie!

CYNDI:  All our blogging friends inspire us in one way or another, so we're having a problem singling any out.

MICAH:  I think you mean we're having a problem making a decision.  There are so many choices and we can't get a majority vote.

MARCUS:  There's nothing unusual about that.  Different personalities, different choices.  Personally, I think we should all vote for the ones who will bribe us with the most treats.  *waves paws*  Wait, wait, I'm just kidding!

Fractured Musings

Micah:  We are pleased to return with another award winning Friday Mousebreath cat interview.

Cyndi:  This week we have some new friends we met when the Tabbies O Trout Towne suggested them.  The Tabbies have been very helpful with making suggestions for interview subjects.  We do not know all the bloggers and can use suggestions.

Rusty:  Marty and Ralph are from the blog Musings by Marty Manx.

Cameron:  Their blog is only a few months old but they have taken to blogging like a dog to water.  Let me rephrase that.  Like a duck to water.

Percy:  Please stop by Mousebreath to meet (if you haven't already) these friendly kitties and to read their story, Marty and Ralphie Muse.

Marcus: We want to do something special for some blogging friends so we decided to share Jan's award.

Sam:  After Jan's second recent toe to door collision in the dark (well, not the second - more like the umpteenth, but the second serious injury), we presented Jan with the Fractured Paw Award yesterday.  Then we got to wondering if there were any other humans out there whose furries would like to nominate for the award.

Merci:  There are.  As Stella Rose from The Three Little Pugs wrote:

our momma is a klutz...one time she fell UP the steps at work and ended up in the emergency room all day, she had to have a cat scan etc etc she came back to work with a big big bruise on her face, last winter hers fell OUT the back door and hurt her knee really bad...geeze we fink she should just stay home wif us all the day long.

Buddy:  Congratulations to the hu-mom of Stella Rose, Margaret Mae and Angus McConnell.   Would any others like to nominate your human for this award?  No need to actually break any bones.  Only qualification is to be ... um, how can I put this delicately ... accident prone.

Fractured Paw Award

Percy:  We have a surprise for Jan tonight.

Cyndi:  Yes, we asked her to make us a Fractured Paw Award to give to someone.

Sam:  And the award goes to Jan!  She is so deserving of it.

Merci:  In April we did a post titled Perception Off Aim Dead On.  We told you about a couple of Jan's accidents, including one late Easter night when she accidentally kicked a door in the dark.

Cameron:  Isn't that the same post where I fell on her head and kicked her in the eye?

Marcus:  It sure was.  That was one exciting time.  Four accidents in one week. Wasn't that a record?

Buddy:  I doubt it.  But the reason for the award is that Jan got up about 3 AM yesterday and headed for the human litterbox.  On the way she decided she wanted a drink of water so she turned right to the kitchen.

Rusty:  And in the dark she kicked the door.  Same injury, same toe, different door.  The nail is still black from the first grand slam.  This time she rotated the nail about 45 - 90 degrees to the right.

Micah:  So now her foot is swollen and her toe is painful.  We thought an award might cheer her up.

Percy:  We're trying to cheer her up?  I thought we were trying to tell her we're thankful she didn't trip over one of us instead of the door.

Marcus:  Well, if I needed cheering up, I'd be happy to receive an award.

Sam:  Good.  We'll save A Leading Cause of Accidents Award for you.

Marcus:  Wow.  Thank you.  I'll accept.

The Thankful Thursday blog hop is hosted by Pepi Smart Dog.

Spring Makes House Calls

Buddy:  We decided to post some signs of spring today.

Micah:  Spring is coming, isn't it?

Cyndi:  Yes, it will be here just as soon as Old Man Winter moves his butt out of the way!

Marcus:  Cyndi, I've never seen a spring.  What does it look like?

Sam:  It looks something like this tree.  We see it every day on our walks.

Marcus: How come you've seen it and I haven't?

Buddy:  It's because you're a Mini Me.  When I was younger, I was always in a big hurry and sped down the road with my head down.  I missed so much along the way.  Now I walk slower and notice more.

Sam:  This is a tree on the corner.

Cameron:  I'd like to see spring too but I don't get to help you dogs walk Jan.  Does spring make house calls?

Merci:  It would be more inclined to do so if Jan had a green thumb.  But we do have the oak tree beside the dog pen and lots of oak trees surrounding us.  Before long everything will be coated in yellow, Jan will sneeze and be grumpy.

Marcus:  Jan is allergic to yellow?

Buddy:  She is when the yellow is pollen.

Merci:  I always love to see the wisteria wrapped around the tree branches. The big stick to the right is what is left of a pine tree after the top half snapped off during the ice storm last month.  There are a lot of broken pines in that area.

Rusty:  We are honored to receive the Sunshine Award again.

Marcus:  You better not post this.  Jan will start sneezing and be grumpy.

Percy:  No, Marcus, this isn't yellow pollen,   It's a yellow flower.

Cameron:  We received it from Happiness is a Siamese.  And we knew we better post it right away or we'd forget.  *hangs head*  We're sorry we've been bad about forgetting.

Micah:  Actually we've been too good about forgetting.  That's what's bad.  We just haven't been able to keep up with everything going on in life and around the blogs.

Cyndi:  We'd like to thank Mikko and mom for the award and also what they said about us and our blog.  *blush*

Sam:  We're supposed to tell you 10 things about ourselves and pass the award on to 10 other blogs, but if we don't finish our post and let Jan have the computer so she can work on her important project, we're going to all be in big trouble, so that will have to wait.

Percy:  Today is the day we Funny Farmer Felines publish a cat blogger interview at Mousebreath, but we haven't heard from any of the potential interviewees again, so we'll nap for another week.  Things have been very hectic around here so we're not complaining.  We'll be back when we have an interview to post.

Stunning DJCK

Rusty:  Welcome to another Funny Farmer Feline Friday.

Cameron: Even if your weather is miserable, you are sure to enjoy today's interview.

Percy:  Yes, our special guest is Cathy Keisha, the cat with 'tude that will make you grin.

Cyndi:  Cathy Keisha is well-known around the blogosphere, as well as Twitter.

Micah:  You can read and enjoy her story, Cathy Keisha ... DJCK is in da House, exclusively at Mousebreath, the ezine written especially for cats, by cats and for cat lovers.

Percy:  Hey, we had a wonderful surprise this morning.  M.K. Clinton gave us the Sunshine Award.  Imagine that.  And on a cold, rainy day too.  This sunshine sure feels good.  Thank you so much - and for including us in such good company with the other recipients.

Cyndi:  And since we're so forgetful, we decided we better post it before the sunflower dies of old age because we didn't read our To Post file again.  *sigh*  .

Micah:  As usual, we're running way behind schedule and Jan is telling us we better hurry and finish because she has things to do.

Rusty:  We had to sit up with her until after midnight last night because she was working on a project she couldn't shut down until after it finished.

Cameron:  And that was just Part A.  There's Part B through Part Tearing-Out-Her-Hair.  That doesn't sound like much fun, so we're glad all we have to do is keep her company and plug our ears.

Percy:  Oh, by the way, we had an email this morning from a human friend named Marty.  He read our Thursday "A Life of Crime"  post where Marcus ate/shredded Jan's dishtowel.  He said he doesn't think it was Marcus' fault either.  He thinks it was the San Andreas fault. I have a sneaky suspicion he's trying to shift the blame from Jan (in the end, it's always her fault). We're going to have to check out this San Andreas.  He must get into more trouble than Jan does.

It's also the day for Rascal and Rocco's Pet Parade blog hop, which we help co-host with Bionic Basil.

There are no rules.  Tell all your friends. You don't have to be a cat.  Any blogger can join us - cat, rat, dog, miniature pig, even a human -  so you have no excuse. Also, you'll want to stop by Rascal & Rocco's to find out if you are this week's Featured Blogger.

Buddy Gives A Speech

Buddy:  We weren't going to do a post today.  Jan is so far behind in everything and has a very big and important project to do and hasn't even been able to start yet, but she said it's okay to do a quick post because we had some fun news this morning and if we have to wait, we'll forget..

Cyndi:  We had a message from our blogging friends Mika, Lexus and Koda that they gave us an award today.  We just had to go see what we received.

Cameron:  We're ashamed to admit this but we received two awards from the same blog last month and kept forgetting to post them.

Rusty:  We've learned too well from Jan and now we forget to read things, including our To Post folder.  (See, things really are always Jan's fault!)

Percy:  But today, we want to acknowledge their kindness and at least post the awards, so they don't think we don't appreciate them.

Sam: Yes, we received the Field of Flowers Award from Love is being owned by a husky blog.  They had to nominate 7 blogs and we were one of them.  They said something lovely about each blog and we were stunned by what they said about us.

Merci:  Yes, stunned.  They didn't actually say anything about us.  It's our blog but Jan got the credit, even though her name isn't mentioned.  She's our klutz and we need to keep her humble or her head will swell.  What do we do?

Micah:  That's easy.  We pretend the nice things they said are about us, accept the award and don't allow her to see this post!

Marcus: That's a good idea. Who makes the speech?

Buddy:  I will.  * clears throat*  We would like to thank Mika, Lexus and Koda for bestowing this honor upon us.  It's a privilege to be a part of the blogging community, so we are always happy to help others.  Thank you for noticing our blog design.  We're very proud of the strange... um, colorful background.  And Marcus?  Taking him in was a pleasure.  Well, perhaps an experience would be a better way to put it.

Sam:  *whispers* Pssst, when is the little menace leaving?

Cyndi: We're supposed to give this award to 7 other bloggers but since we were only allotted a small window of time and Jan is on her way back from taking out the trash, we'll have to postpone that.

Percy: Love is being owned by a Husky also gave us the Best Blog Around the World and the Excellence award a month ago.  Thank you.  We apologize for being so late posting them.

Micah Is Innocent

Micah:  It's not fair.  I get blamed for everything.  I'm innocent, innocent, I tell you!  She can't prove it either.

What am I talking about?  Oh, last night Jan cooked some chicken drumsticks and left them to cool on the stove.  Later she found what was left of one in my breakfast nook area.  Just because some cat left it where I like to dine doesn't mean I was the culprit.  I'm deeply hurt she believes it was me.

I know, I should move on to this week's Sunday Smile.  You will enjoy it.  None of us Funny Farmers are this weird.  Well, Crystal used to be.  Cotton would occasionally tolerate a little.  Rusty used to enjoy this.  But to be honest, a cat's got to be tetched in the head to hug a vacuum.  Even the woofies run for cover when Jan gets ours out of the closet.

Some feline friends of this cat should hold  an intervention.  Or perhaps he could join VCA (Vacuum Cleaners Anonymous) This is just unnatural.  Here, it's short.  Check it out for yourself.

If the video doesn't play, click here. .

Oh, we want to apologize to Matilda's Journey.  We put the Shine On award in our To Post folder so we wouldn't forget it and ... uh, we did.   In case you aren't aware, we did a Meet & Greet on Matilda's blog on September 17th and Matilda hurriedly and unexpectedly had to leave for the bridge on October 6th.  The blog continues but Matilda is missed. We'd like to thank them for sharing the award.

I don't have anything else to add, so guess I'll close for now.  Oh, wait.  Let me take a quick look around.  No, I don't see Jan or any of the other furries.  So I would like to add, *whisper* Boy, was that drumstick delicious!

We're joining the Sunday Black & White blog hop at Dachshund Nola's.

Talk Like Thankful Pirates

We didn't want to miss Pirate Day again, and Jan said she didn't have time to make us a new graphic for Meow or Woof Like A Pirate Day so we are re-using the one from 2011.  But we are all sad because Jan had to replace Cotton with Micah.  Not that we're sad Micah is here. It's just that we're all sad Cotton left us last year four months before Micah arrived.

Guess that's what we're thankful for today, that we had so many good years with Cotton.  And with Crystal.  It's just so hard to replace them in headers and other graphics. Many of you have been through that at least once.

But we didn't want to miss Pirate Day.

So, Avast, Ye Hearties, let's break out a hogshead o' grog ta celebrate!

Swami Zoe, thank you so much for sharing the Super Sweet Bloggie Award with us.

We will have to answer the questions and pass it on later.  But we are honored and wanted to acknowledge it.

Good News by Rusty

Hey, Rusty here.  I'm a bit excited, kinda like when I'm outside in my doghouse ... I mean, cathouse. Lots of good news.

First, congratulations to all the award winners from BlogPaws 2013.  And extra special congrats to Skeezix's Food Lady, the editor of Mousebreath ezine.  As you might already know, she won in two categories. Best Video and Best Cat Blog for Mousebreath.  You can read her short post on the subject here.

And you can watch Karen accept the award for Mousebreath here. She has a "crazy" sense of humor, so if you'd like to watch her award winning video, it begins approximately 17 minutes into the video.  The Mousebreath award acceptance begins at approximately 27 minutes.

We're very proud of Karen.  She ad-libbed her acceptance speech and remembered all the Funny Farmer Felines except Cyndi.  But she's forgiven. Whenever Jan lists our names, she has to think and count - and she lives with us.  In fact, she named us!  But if she can forget our names on occasion, so can Karen. the surprise was she remembered and mentioned us.

We were very pleased and surprised to receive the versatile blogger award from Daddy Kiril, Nikita and Elvira from the Opinionated Pussycat.  Pay no attention to Jan's name being listed as the sole recipient.  Jan asked and was told, "Tell the funny farmers the award is just as much theirs as yours!"  That's a relief.  We're the talent.  Jan just supplies the ... um, I'm not sure what she supplies.  Meals?

We're a bit short of time, so we'll have to do the 7 facts another time.  But we would like to pass this on to one Blog.

The Tabby Cat Club - This club was started by the lovely Gracie and her hu-mom.  The club is active and the members come up with some interesting ideas for events.

We're very proud to receive this award from Purrime Ministerettes Shiva and Jaya.  If you haven't read our Mousebreath interview with them, you're missing some fun.  Click on their name and you'll find a link to the interview in their post.  Or click here and find a link in our post.  However you get there, you won't regret it.

Spencer Seeks Someone Special

Hey, Merci here today.  Our friend Gracie was contacted by someone who needs a home for his kitty.  She passed the information on to us and we're sharing it with you.

(Above) is a picture of Spencer, my 10 yr old Tabby.  I live in Los Angeles, CA and I'm getting married and moving in with my wife who has two dogs that are not cat friendly.  I want to find a great home for Spencer as he has a special place in my heart.  He is an indoor/outdoor cat, LOVES to cuddle at night and gets along with other cats.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jeff

Please pass this information on to help find Spencer a home.  You can contact Jeff by email.  Just put this together in email format.  jeffreyschlosser  AT gmail DOT com

These are the awards Percy, Micah & Rusty received for participating in the Tabby Cat Club Caption This Event the other day.  See, you all thought Percy and Rusty were really miffed at Micah, but since Jan said they could only have enough time to post one photo, Percy came up with a way for all of them to participate.  Pretty nifty, huh?  They all got an award.

Mayzie, Shrunk the Pig, TCC

We don't want to forget to mention Mayzie's Wag n' Swag fundraiser..  It will run through this week.

The fundraiser is to help furry victims of Superstorm Sandy.  Stop by Mayzie's blog for complete details.

Hey, we got the Honey I Shrunk the Pig award from Miss Bassie.

It's because we're a multi-animal household but we think it's cute. And of course we're soooooo deserving. :)

We'd like to pass it on and hope these bloggers haven't already received it.
Thanks for sharing with us, Mizz Bassie.

Oh, and we - Percy, Rusty and Micah - would like to remind you The Tabby Cat Club is holding an Open House tomorrow (Thursday, November 15) to celebrate our 1-year anniversary.  Plan to stop by.  If we know Gracie, there will be lots of food and fun.

Good thing Gracie's mom takes care of the food and Jan only had to make the header.  If Jan was fixing the food,  you'd all starve unless you like peanut butter and crackers.  Jan forgets to cook.  Can you believe that?  Is it any wonder we furries are all skin and bones?.  No pot roast, no mashed taters and gravy, no chicken and dumplings, no cheesecake with real whipped cream ....  We better stop here.  We're getting hungry.  Maybe we can call for take-out and delivery?  Hey, guys, any of you know where to find a dollar around here?

Plan to stop by the Tabby Cat Club tomorrow.

A Scaredy Halloween and Flying Fur

Hey, Micah here with today's post.  Before I forget, Happy Halloween from all of us.  The Funny Farmers don't have any costumes this year.- again.  Jan claims her fingers are frozen.  Buddy wants to know how this relates to her brain . We all think if she exercised her brain making us photoshopped costumes, her fingers would thaw out.  Guess we'll just have to learn how to take our own photos.

But since she's not cooperating, I'll just have to post this photo I came across of last year's entry in Hansel's contest - Jan the bag lady.  Maybe she'll be sufficiently embarrassed to help us next year.

This is my award for entering the Tabby Cat Club's What are you Ascared of recently.

Last night as Jan was trying to fall asleep, I head-butted her, licked her hands, and rubbed my cold, wet nose on her arm.  She was pleasantly surprised I was being so affectionate.  And then she was even more surprised a short while later when the cat fight broke out. Yep, that wasn't me being friendly.  Percy managed to get himself closed in the bedroom and there was fur flying again.

The fights are getting shorter.  I'm not that undernourished, skinny guy that arrived here over a month ago. Percy and I are closer to the same weight now, so it's a more evenly matched boxing round.  I'd still rather live alone in the bedroom, though.  If Percy wants to beat me up,the others probably do too.

You're all invited to the Halloween party at the Tabby Cat Club, so be sure to drop by.

And Cousin Charlotte is hosting her first Halloween party at Angel Momo's blog.

        Micah Updatre and Sweet Award

Hey, Micah here, remember me?  This was me in the PTU after Jan took me to the vet 3 weeks ago.  I posted this pic on the Tabby Cat Club when they asked what scares us. Percy looks all innocent here but don't let him fool you.  We've each lost a bit of fur since.

See, Percy is Mr. Muscles.  He must work out secretly cause he kept opening the bedroom door to the kitchen even after Jan blocked it with one 10 lb weight and then 2 - 10 lb weights.  The past couple weeks this is what the bedroom side of that door looks like.

Yep, TWO 10 lb weights plus 3 storage containers.

And Jan didn't like me being closed in a room away from everything, so this is what the door from the living room to the bedroom looks like.

No, you aren't seeing things.  That's a very large window screen, a gate, a trash can and a small tool box.  The tool box and gate aren't necessary now, but I'm still not comfortable when the door is open and Percy can see me.

Jan says if me and Percy don't stop fighting soon so she can integrate me into the household before it gets any colder (there's no heat in the bedroom so she wants the doors open!), she's going to have a breakdown  (I thought that only happened to cars?) cause she feels like she's living in a cell.  Excuse me, what does she think I feel like?

Jan tells me how handsome I am and how soft my fur has become.  I've been eating - a little at a time but fairly frequently - and although I'm still thin, I've put on a little weight.

That's my update.  What's your news?

We were very surprised to receive the Super Sweet Blogging Award from Coccolino of My Mini Pet Pig blog.  If you haven't met him yet, please go by and say hello.

Evidently we're supposed to answer some questions. These are hard ones since we're not allowed to have any sweets.

        1. Cookies or cake?  We'd take both but Jan's already eaten them all.  She doesn't share with us.

        2. Chocolate or vanilla?  We aren't allowed to have chocolate, but we haven't seen any vanilla either.

        3. Favorite sweet treat?  Good question.  Those cupcakes look pretty good.

        4. When do you crave sweet things the most?  When Jan is eating some.

        5. If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?Hmmmm, guess we'd be the Funny Farmer Honeys.

Thank you, Coccolino, for sharing this with us.

Oh, guess we're supposed to pass this on.  We'll have to get back to you on that.  Jan is kicking us off the computer again.

        Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeee!
