Cotton Turns 9

Sassy, thank you for coming by and reminding Jan tomorrow is Cotton's 9th birthday. If you hadn't Jan would continue to hog the computer and we would completely miss Cotton's big day.

Cotton, we want to tell you how much we admire your tortietude, even though it often drives us crazy. But without it you wouldn't have lived long enough to grow up and become our big sister. We were glad you were invited to join TATA (Tough A*s Tortie Association) because you are one tough lady with a soft heart. If you missed it, you can read our sister Cotton's story here.

Our good friend Sassy sent you a birthday card. But since Jan's birthday is Thursday, you have to share with her. Just the card, though. (We think you look adorable in that hat, Cotton!)

You know Sassy. She loves to bake, so she made plenty of cupcakes. More than enough to go around. So any kitty or woofie that drops by, help yourself. There are more thawing on the kitchen counter.


Sassy sent you this, Cotton. You very own kitty-size bed. Of course, you'll have to share that too, you know. We insist.


Sassy didn't forget Jan. She sent Jan a Funny Farm size bed. This is a terrific gift! It's big enough we can all pile on it at the same time.

Oh, are you serious? Jan intends to sleep in it too? Do you think there will be enough room for her?

Sassy, thank you so much for remembering, even though Jan forgot. We really need to get Jan a palm pilot. We have no idea what one is but we figure anything that has a pilot must be able to help her. Do you think we can buy one with 2 buttons, 6 pieces of kibble, a cotton swab and whatever change we can find in the couch?

We really hope Victor Tabbycat will come by to sing "Hippo Birdie Two Ewes" to you, Cotton. He does the best rendition of that birthday song.

Happy (assigned) 9th Birthday, Cotton!

Oh, and we don't want to forget to wish you a Happy Birthday too, Jan. (Note to Victor Tabbycat: We would advise you to NOT sing the "Hippo" song to Jan. She takes everything literally.)
