Sassy Kat and Baby Cory

Last weekend Sassy Kat's friends threw her a retirement party in Paris. Today, with her final post, she officially enters retirement.

We have enjoyed Sassy's creative and fun ideas. Percy will always have a special place in his heart for her, as she took him under her paw when he played in a CCSI production. She invited Rusty to join some of her friends on a cruise. Rusty had so much fun on the trip, he didn't notice he was sunburned until he returned home. And although many find us a bit overwhelming en masse, Sassy wasn't intimidated by our number, so we were occasionally invited to parties as a group.

Sassy, we love you and we will never forget you. Thank you for these past two years of friendship. Perhaps you will send an occasional smoke signal to let us know you are okay. Farewell, for now, our friend!

As often happens in the cycles of life, as Sassy Kat has been closing down her blog, her little sister Gracie has taken over the keyboard. We look forward to getting to know her better. Perhaps she has an adventurous and mischievous streak too.

An update from Eric on Houdini, the last Lakemore Cat rescued. She has pneumonia --
HELLO ALL ~ My little girl Houdini is doing somewhat better today. I finally got her to eat, Fancy feast Shrimp did it yesterday. Back to the Vets today, she will be surprised Houdini is even alive :o} ~ So am I ~ MANY Purrs of thanks to all Jan’s wonderful readers for donations and PRAYERS ~ She still needs a Home when she is well. To lighten this post a little, we're going to share a really cute video we found of baby Cory. His dancing reminds us of a human version of Snowball the cockatoo. That's a compliment. We love to watch Snowball keep rhythm.
