Open Invitation To Marcus

Marcus:  This is me lying casually on the back seat being brave.

Taylor:  Of course you're brave.  The car isn't moving if Jan is taking your picture

Cyndi:  And this proves it!  Jan would never drive with you parked between the front seats.  You're klutzier than she is!

Marcus:  I didn't say the car was moving.  I said I was being brave.  And I was.  I used to cower on the floo-  Uh, I mean before I got my moving suv balance down pat, I used to have to sit in the back on the floor.  Now I'm so relaxed, I could lie on the seat and take a nap.

Cyndi:  And how many naps have you taken in the car?  While it was moving.

Marcus:  Well, none, but I haven't ridden that many times and I want to see the scenery.

Taylor:  What kind of scenery have you seen so far?

Marcus:  Trees, buildings, and more trees.  But I'm going to see some real scenery soon.  I'm going to visit the UK to drive.  And not just as a back seat driver.  I have an open invitation from the B Team at Bionic Basil to -  Here, read the comment they left for me for yourself.

"Marcus anytime mew want to drive anything, let us know and mew can come to BB HQ anytime, we have a tank, hummer, unimog, atv's etc in the bunker... dude, whateffur mew want to drive no purroblem at all! MOL"

Cyndi:  Oh, no!  He's going to be driving like the gas pedal is stuck and there's no brake.  Does the B Team really know what they're getting into?

Taylor:  I can see him now driving like he races through here screeching at the top of his lungs with excitement, except then he'll be racing in the wrong direction, scaring those poor cats and sending them running for their lives.

Cyndi:  Do you think there's some way we can convince them to rescind their invitation before it's too late?

Taylor:  I doubt it.  You know how those cats love to adventure.  Except for Marcus' hyper fits of excitement, I imagine he will fit right in.

Cyndi:  I hope they have super duper insurance coverage.

Question.  Does anyone have any idea of what type of spider this could be?  It took up residence on our front porch last week and Jan doesn't want to kill it, in case it's friendly.  Not as in pet friendly but friendly in the sense it kills things we don't want here.

On the other paw, if it's a threat to her or to us, she wants to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Sorry the picture quality isn't that great but the spiderweb is high above Jan's head and this was taken with the zoom.

Bionic Basil Interviews Funny Farmers

MARCUS:  Which way did they all go? I went outside to take a pee and when I came back inside everyone was gone. Hey, guys, where are you?  Come on, this isn't funny.

RUSTY:  Pssst, Marcus, over here.

MARCUS:  Over where?  I don't see you.

SAM:  Didn't you get the memo?

MARCUS:  What memo?

MERCI:  We're supposed to be visiting today, remember?

MARCUS:  No, I didn't get a memo and I don't remember anything about visiting because this is the first I've heard of it.

MICAH:  You should attend more staff meetings, Marcus.

MARCUS:  What staff meetings?  Jan doesn't have any staff!

CYNDI:  No, silly.  We are the staff of Jan's Funny Farm blog.

MARCUS:  Oh, right.  But every time I come to a meeting, you just send me in the kitchen to collect water bowls.

PERCY:  Surely you remember our invitation to sit down with Bionic Basic and his siblings recently?  They turned the tables on us and this time we are the subject of an interview.

MARCUS:  Oh, right.  I remember that.  But where are you?  I hear you talking but I don't see a one of you.

BUDDY;  We're over at Bionic Basil's blog.  He published our interview today. You need to get over here right away!  These guys serve the best refreshments!

MARCUS:  Okay, where's "here"?

SAM:  Click your heels together while holding one paw on your nose so you don't sneeze and say the magic words, Abrazippity -

MARCUS:  Stop messing with me, Sam!  Hey, I should yell at Sam more often.  I'm here.

CYNDI:  And you readers should be here too.  Come read our interview at Bionic Basil's blog.

RUSTY:  Oh, and if you haven't already read yesterday's post on the Petsafe Breakaway Collar for dogs, we are giving one away.  One of these safety collars could save your dog's life! But to win you must leave a comment on the post Petsafe Breakaway Collar Giveaway.  Details in that post.

Air of Mystery

Cameron:  Have you ever met Cleo, Pickles, Marbles and Dinnermintz?

Rusty:  They're the kitties from the All Fur One and One Fur All blog.

Micah:  If you haven't met them yet, you have no excuse now.

Cyndi:  'Cause we interviewed them for Mousebreath, the ezine written by cats for cats.  .

Percy:  Hop, run, fly or crawl if necessary to Mousebreath to read their story,

Buddy:  And then stop by their blog and ask how Marbles and Dinnermintz got their names.

Merci:  Yes, please, we're all dying to know the answer to that question.

Sam:  Our feline siblings didn't ask because they wanted to leave a hint of mystery.

Marcus:  Come on, tell the truth, guys.  They didn't ask because they forgot to.  Isn't that right, Percy?

Percy:  Uh ... yeah ... actually, it did sort of slip our mind at the time.  But an air of mystery makes for a better story, so we'll stick with that.

No Pets to Parade

Rusty:  Oh, good, it's Friday again.  Fridays are such fun.

Cyndi:  I know.  We felines get to publish another Mousebreath cat blogger interview.

Rusty: Some of the cat bloggers consider it an honor to be interviewed.

Micah:  We consider it an honor they want to participate.

Cameron:  This week our guests are Bionic Basil and his siblings Posie, Humphrey, Smoochie, Amber and Snowie from Basil the Bionic Cat's Blog.

Percy:  They are a zany family with a fun blog, so be sure to go by Mousebreath to read their story, Dr. Basil and the U.K. Kitty Clan

Sam:  Okay, are you cats done?

Merci:  I think they are.  It's our turn.

Marcus:  I don't know of any other news.  Do you guys?

Buddy:  No, but it's Pet Parade day so lets get to parading our pets.

Marcus:  *taps Buddy's shoulder*  But we don't have any pets to parade.

Buddy:  Then grab a leash and we'll parade Jan.  But don't tell her.  She'll think we're just taking her for a walk.

Are you a pet blogger?  Then enter the Pet Parade. There are no rules. Enter any time in the coming week.  Meet new friends. Find out who is this week's Featured Favorite.

It begins at your host Rascal and Rocco's.

Celebrating July 4th

Happy 4th of July, America!

Percy, Buddy and all of us wish you a Happy 4th.

Buddy:  We are ecstatic to finally be able to do this post.  Jan thought we had our Blogger / Picasa problem "resolved" yesterday morning.

Percy:  But it fooled us into a false sense of compromise.  When we tried to load this graphic, it threw us another curve.

Merci:  Jan's not tech-savvy but we leave the tech problems to her anyway. She might not have won the war, but she was determined to win this posting battle.

Rusty:  After more hours of tedious drudgery, we can say without a doubt - it is not our problem, it is Picasa online's. Either they have changed something and it is deliberately designed to drive humans crazy, or they have changed something and now something is broken, and driving humans crazy is just a fringe benefit - for Picasa, not us.

Cyndi: We all covered our ears in case Jan said anything from the bad word list but we didn't hear any.

Micah:  Of course we didn't hear any.  We had our ears covered.

Sam:  Actually, I didn't have my ears covered.  That's kind of awkward for a dog my size.  So I can tell you she didn't say any.  However, I can't attest to what she was thinking.  Or if she was thinking.

Cameron:  To change the subject, we Funny Farmer Felines are not publishing a Mousebreath interview this week so Americans can celebrate the 4th offline, if they so desire.

Marcus:  Or they can come online to read our blog post and join the Pet Parade blog hop.

Buddy:  Marcus, I'm very proud of you.  You closed this post very smoothly.  There just might be something between those big ears, after all.

Pet bloggers, be sure to enter your blog in Rascal and Rocco's Pet Parade blog hop.  Stop by their blog and learn which blogger is this Friday's Featured Favorite.  There are no rules and you can join any time during the week.

And don't forget to say hello to their co-hosts - Bionic Basil, Barking from the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

Claws to the Quick

Cyndi:  This has been an interesting week.  And a busy one.

Micah:  Yes, a lot has happened we weren't expecting.

Sam:  One of the interesting incidents happened when we sat down just after noon on Wednesday to put this week's Mousebreath interview together.

Cameron:  Percy was going to open the text document on our desktop, but there wasn't one.

Merci:  He went into the email folder for this week's interview subjects and discovered we had forgotten to write and email their questions.

Rusty:  It's a little hard to publish an interview when we know neither the questions nor the answers.

Percy:  We immediately wrote some questions so we didn't forget again and sent them off with a note to take their time, we wouldn't have an interview this week and it is entirely our fault.

Buddy:  Imagine our surprise when the answers were waiting for us when we opened our email Thursday.

Marcus:  However ...  Jan turned off the computer and disappeared for hours.  She said she didn't trust us to stay out of mischief while she was off stuffing herself with pizza.  Can you imagine?

Cyndi: Because these nice kitties made their own graphic and were quick to respond, we are able to bring you an interview this week.

Micah:  Please put your paws together and give the Colehaus Cats a warm welcome and thank them for today's interview.

Percy:  *clears throat*  Um, what about me?

Sam:  What about you?

Percy:  I stayed up late typing my claws right down to the quick preparing the interview for publication.  Don't I get paws and thanks too?

Sam:  No, that's your job.

Percy:  I'm getting paid?

Rusty:  Of course not! You ... we all do it out of love for the cat bloggers.

Buddy:  We hope you will go by Mousebreath to read the Colehaus Cats' story, The Colehaus Cats, Your Typical Rescued Family.

Cameron:  Jan would like to thank everyone who helped her celebrate her birthday yesterday - in person, on FB, in our blog comments, in an email, or in a blog post.  We all appreciate your kind hearts.  Jan had a good day.  It will take some times, but we'll be around to thank all of you personally.

Micah: There was, however, a typical Jan moment we just have to share. A friend sent her a lovely 123greeting.com card.  After it played, Jan was asked if she would like to send a thank you card.  Of course!  She clicked on one of three, thinking she was CHOOSING which card to send.  She didn't notice the message box to the right, until too late.  So, yes, she sent her friend a blank thank you card.

Sam:  Sparkle, Binga and Boodie sent such a cute card we'd like to share it.

Problem Humans

Rusty:  Woo hoo, it's Friday again.  Time for another interview.

Micah:  And this week we have the very talented advice columnist for cats with human problems, George from the blog George Online Cat.

Rusty:  I think Micah meant George is an advice columnist for cats who have problem humans.

Cyndi:  If Micah means a problem human, he must be referring to Jan.  We got to read his book One Hundred Ways For A Cat To Train Its Human.

Cameron:  We hope Jan doesn't find it.  If she reads it, we're all in trouble.  She'll learn our secrets and we have enough trouble with her now.

Percy:  We hope you will stop by Mousebreath, the ezine for cats written by cats, to read George's story, Human Agony Aunt George.  Yes, his story is as intriguing as the title.  :)

Buddy:  The Funny Farmer Felines won't let us help with their interviews but Friday is also Pet Parade day so they can't keep us dogs off the post.

Merci:  Yes, the blog hop has no rules and is open to any pet blogger.

Sam:  We can't wait to see who is the Featured Favorite this week.

Marcus:  We had this post all ready to go as soon as we added the Mousebreath link, but we  had a frightening experience this morning.  We tried to sign in to our blog and it kept telling us our name or password is incorrect.  No matter what, we could not sign in to our Google account.  We finally found a means to ask for information and received an email.

Buddy:  Now try to figure this out.  We could not sign in to our Google account to access either our blog(s) or our gmail.  BUT our email program could sign in to pick up our gmail.  So obviously, our ID and PW worked.  And we were able to receive the message; however, if we only used gmail online, as many do, we would have been unable to receive help since we couldn't sign in to access our gmail.  Are you confused yet?  Because we are.

Sam:  Anyway, there was a list of blogs our account is associated with.  Yes, yes, yes ... WHAT?  We aren't associated with hollyzacandtheiradventures.  At first, we thought we'd never heard of it, but we just realized it might be one we used to have permission to VIEW when it closed except to invited readers only.  That was a few years ago.  But suddenly it wanted us to sign in to that too.

Merci:  For some reason, we were finally able to sign in to our account and access our dashboard.  There is no hollyzacandtheiradventures listed, of course, since they aren't on our account.  Or at least, not supposed to be.  We tried their link again and now that we were signed in, we were told the blog is open to invited readers only and we don't have permission to view it.

Marcus:  Does anyone have any clue how we would go about telling Google there's a screw-up on their end and getting this straightened out?   We were really scared for a while that we were permanently locked out of our own account and with no means to find out what the problem is.

Pet Parade is hosted by Rascal and Roscoe.

Perception Off Aim Dead On

Cyndi:  Oh, good, it's Friday again.  Time for another cat interview.

Micah::  Today we have the handsome and daring, Puffy from the blog Keep calm and catch a mouse - a day in the life of Puffy..

Percy:  We know you will enjoy meeting him if you haven't already.  He has been blogging since 2013.  His mom helped him with his Friday post on Monday.  She has a good reason for posting early, before the interview published and she has the permanent link.  Puffy's mom doesn't have complete internet access at their house.  She has to post what she can when she can.

Cyndi:  Stop by Mousebreath, the ezine for cats written by cats, to read the exclusive interview, Puffy Puffmeister

Rusty:  Without full internet access, blogging can be a big of a challenge.  You know, kinda like Jan trying to put her slippers on at 3 AM.

Cameron:  You're right, that was a challenge.  Jan didn't go to bed until after 1 AM Sunday night.

Percy:  You mean Monday morning.

Cameron:  I do?  But it was Easter Sunday, so it was Sunday night.

Micah:  Actually, if it was 1 AM, it was Monday morning.

Cameron:  You guys are just trying to confuse me.  It was Sunday night.  And I'm telling the story, so it can be any day I want it to be. It was Sunday night.

Percy:  *mumble*  Monday morning.

Cameron:  Jan went to bed sometime after 1 AM Sunday night.  She got up at 2:45 to use the human litterbox.  But she could only find one slipper.

Cyndi:  Yes, one of us kicked it away and I'm not telling which of us it was.  She had to walk barefoot across the room to the light switch.

Rusty:  And lo and behold, there behind the door into the kitchen was a matching slipper.  She grabbed the doorknob to brace herself and kicked out to pull the slipper toward her.

Micah:  However, being the klutz she is ... and not just at 3 AM ... her perception was off but her aim was dead on.  She kicked the door "head-first" with her little toe.

Percy:  Boy, can that woman scream!  You'd have thought she'd gotten hurt or something terrible had happened.

Cyndi:  Well, she did wreck her toe and her nail.  Don't understand why she was limping this week, though.  It was just a toe.

Marcus:  She's doing better because I've helped her nurse her foot all week..

Percy:  Yes, you repeatedly stomped it, dropped your "indestructible" bone on it, threw yourself onto her foot while she was trying to sleep, and ....

Marcus: Yes, I did all those things.  I'm a great nurse.  Do you think I could finagle some extra biscuits for it?

Percy:  This is Funny Farmer Felines Friday so I - we think you should leave the bragging to us felines today.

Cameron:  Be sure to stop by Mousebreath to read the interview and then drop by Puffy's to say hello.

Rusty:  We thought for a while we wouldn't be posting today.  We were waiting for Jan to dress for the day and feed us so we could finish this post and we heard on the radio, "If you have Windstream internet, you don't have internet."  What?  But we had a post to finish.

Micah:  The internet just came back at 10:30. *wipes brow* Whew!  Now let's get this post published.

Friday is also the Pet Parade, hosted by Rascal and Rocco.  We can't wait to see who the Featured Favorite is today.

It's co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Love is being owned by a husky, Barking from the Bayou, and Jan's Funny Farm (that's us).

Blanketless Establishment

Cyndi:  Where has the week gone?  It's already Friday again.

Rusty:  I think the week froze.  Everything else did.  A lot of bloggers had snow but we just had rain, cold and at least one freezing night.  Brrrrr.

Cameron:  It's been a good week, though.  We worked on a couple of interviews and checked on a few that requested some time.

Micah:  We are glad to have finished our interview with a couple of lovely ladycats from Lily LeMew & Jan too! And we've got another interview all set for next week.  We'd love to get a few weeks ahead so we don't have to stress over being empty-pawed.   (Hint, hint, for any of you who are already in the process or would like to volunteer yourself or another blogging cat.)

Percy:  We enjoyed getting to know these cats better. We remember when Lily Le Mew opened her blog as an only cat. Some of you will remember when / how Jan arrived and for whom she was named.  (Not for our Jan!)  Stop by Mousebreath, the ezine for cats by cats, and read their story, The LeMew Sister, Lily and Jan.

Buddy:  We're proud of the Funny Farmer Felines.  They've worked hard this week while we woofies watched in between naps.

Merci::  Speak for yourself, Buddy.  You definitely took a lot of naps.  You were snuggled under a quilt or a dog blanket most of the week.

Sam:  And Marcus jumped the gate so he could snuggle on the bed with Buddy and the cats. You and I were left blanketless, Merci.  We should make some signs and walk a protest line out in the dog pen where all the neighbors can read about how unfairly we've been treated.

Marcus: This sounds like fun. I've never been to a protest before.  Can I join you?

Sam:  No, you can't join us.  We'll be protesting you and Buddy.

Merci:  You might want to count me out, Sam.  I'd have to be honest and the truth is if Jan gives you a blanket, you stand up, shake it off, and sleep elsewhere.  There's nothing to protest about.

Marcus:  That's too bad.  I was looking forward to shouting, Down with the blanketless establishment!!

Buddy:  Be glad the protest is canceled before you embarrass yourself.  There's no such thing as a blanketless establishment.

Percy:  Excuse me, but this is Funny Farmer Feline Friday and you guys are arguing over blankets and taking over our post.  Be quiet and let us finish.

We are joining this week's Pet Parade, hosted by Rascal and Rocco.  We can't wait to see who the Featured Favorite is today.

It's co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Love is being owned by a husky, Barking from the Bayou, and Jan's Funny Farm (that's us).

A Tranquilizer in Water

Marcus:  Can someone tell me why Jan is upset with me?

Buddy:  I can.  When Mr. Doug brought Jan back from Walmart Thursday, she opened the door and you were so excited you didn't just run out the door like you did Tuesday.

Sam:  No, you're a an excited pee-er.  You got so excited, you peed right inside the door and ran out the door still peeing.  Mr. Doug caught you by the collar, Jan dragged you inside, you took off out the door again to see Mr. Doug,

Merci:  Jan dragged you back inside and dropped her shopping bags, Mr. Doug reached inside the door and dropped a 30 pound bag of cat litter into your pee puddle.

Rusty:  When Jan grabbed and lifted the litter bag with one hand, her denim purse fell off her arm and right smack into the puddle of pee.  The neighbors probably heard the scream .

Marcus:  Oh, so that's what all the excitement was about.  She washed the purse, so why is she still upset with me?

Cameron:  Because you're four months old and haven't had - make that hadn't had an accident in weeks - if we don't count the excited dribbles when Luke's hu-mom Teresa stopped by.  Jan is trying to let you have the run of the house with the rest of us instead of crating you when she leaves for a short while.  And how do you pay her back?

Marcus:  I don't know.  Should I buy her flowers?

Cyndi:  Cameron isn't asking what you should do in the future.  He's asking what did you do Thursday to pay her back for her confidence in you.

Marcus:  I don't think I understand this confidence thing.  But I do understand I'm an excited pee-er.  I heard the vet bragging about that to everyone on my last visit.

Percy:  I don't think he was bragging about you, Marcus.  I think he was warning everyone to stay out of shooting range.

Micah:  Well, this is sure not fun.  We had an entire blog post written last night, all ready to go just as soon as we picked up the interview url this morning and this is all that's left of it.  Okay, who ate it?

Marcus:  Don't look at me.  I eat just about anything and everything, but I've never eaten a blog post in my life.

Rusty:  Well, I guess we'll have to write it again.  It sure would be nice if we could have breakfast first, but there isn't time.  It's not easy working on an empty stomach.  Let's see, how did it go?  Oh, yes...

Cyndi:  *dancing and singing around the kitchen table*
            We're back, we're back, weeeee-ee ar-re baa-ack!

Buddy:  Who's back?  And where were you?

Micah:  We Funny Farmer Felines are back after four weeks without publishing a Mousebreath interview.

Cameron:  Yes, for two weeks, we had no interview to post and then for two weeks, we had life interruptions  - setting up a new computer one week and getting locked out of Mousebreath the next.

Percy:  Our interview subjects today were very good about responding in a timely fashion and have patiently waited for us to return.  Their mom has been sick this week, so you might want to stop by their blog and wish her a speedy recover.

Cyndi:  We are pleased to welcome all of the Kwee Cats - Duchess, Piewhackit, Pungy, Odysseus, Domino, Sneaky Pie and Oliver.

Sam:  Please put your paws together in welcome.

Rusty:  What are you doing, Sam?  This part of the post is for us kitties.  You don't qualify.  You're a canine.

Merci::  You mean we can't even help with the introduction?

Micah:  No!  If we let you help this time, you'll want to help every week and then you'll want to get paid.

Cameron:  We get paid?  Why hasn't anyone mentioned this to me?

Percy:  No, we don't get paid.  But Mousebreath is a cat ezine, so if we allow the woofies to help us, the Mousebreath editor might fire us.

Cameron:  Fire us?  But if we don't get paid because we're locked out and fired, how are we going to eat and keep a roof over our heads?

Percy:  Relax.  We were only locked out for a few days and it was a mistake, not anything personal. And we haven't been fired or we wouldn't be publishing today's interview.

Cyndi:  Cameron, would you like for me to bring you a bowl of water?  You're looking a little white around your black tuxedo.

Micah:  I suggest a tranquilizer in the water and a long nap.

Percy:  To get back on subject, we are pleased to welcome the Kwee Cats today.  We hope you will stop by Mousebreath to read their story, Quite Cute Kwee Cats.

Rusty:  Yes, do read the interview first and then stop by the Kwee Cats blog to say hello.

Now we are off to join this week's Pet Parade, hosted by Rascal & Rocco.  We can't wait to see who the Featured Favorite is today.

It's co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Love is being owned by a husky, Barking from the Bayou, and Jan's Funny Farm (that's us).

Prison Attire and Shackles

Buddy:  Oh, dear, look at that face.  Marcus is unhappy about something.

Cameron:  Yes, his feelings have really been hurt.  Trampled on, even.

Cyndi:  What's the problem?

Micah:  Haven't you heard all the grumbling Marcus has been doing the last few days?

Cyndi:  Marcus is a puppy, so he's always yipping and yapping and mumbling.  What is it this time, Marcus?

Sam:  Marcus is too upset to even look at Jan.

Rusty:  So what did Jan do now?

Merci:  She made friends with Luke's owner, Miss Teresa.  She brought Marcus a present the other day.

Marcus:  Yes, and I hate it, hate it, hate it!  She must hate me too.

Percy:  What makes you think she hates you, Marcus?

Marcus: Miss Teresa bought me this evil front lead easy walk harness and now I can't walk properly.

Buddy:  I have to admit I would have hated one of those when I was your age but I'm older now and I don't mind wearing one.  I don't feel the need - or have the energy - to drag Jan down the road because I want to live life on the fast sidewalk.

Marcus:  But I want to drag Jan down the road ahead of you, Sam and Merci.  I want to shove off with all 4 feet at the same time and try to make you all run.  It builds my neck and shoulder muscles and it gives Jan a good workout.  She doesn't need to join a gym because of me.  And I'm young so I'm supposed to be in charge on our walks.

Cyndi:  But if you ask Jan, she'll tell you she's old so she's supposed to be in charge of your walks.

Cameron:  Guess it's a matter of perspective, Marcus.  You might hate it, hate it, hate it, but Jan has been seen staring at your new harness and mumbling, "I love it, I love it, I love it."

Merci:  Why don't you surprise Jan and nicely thank Miss Teresa for the generous gift?  It does fit well and it looks good on you.  Under your breath, you can grumble.

Marcus:  You mean it?  Under my breath I can say I hate the prison attire and shackles and no one will get upset with me?

Sam:  Yep.  If you don't let anyone hear you, you can say anything you want.

Marcus: Okay.  Thank you for the practical gift, Miss Teresa.  It makes Jan very happy on our walks.   (But it makes me miserable.  Why couldn't you buy me something nice, like a dozen soccer balls or a side of bacon?)   *big sigh of relief*   There, I feel so much better.

Sam:  Well, you really blew that.  You were supposed to say that last part under your breath!

Marcus:  You mean Jan heard it?

Rusty:  Kid, you're in deep trouble now.  I think everyone heard it!

Percy:  We don't have a Mousebreath.com cat interview for you again this week.  I take that back.  We do have one.  We just haven't had a chance to put it together because Jan has hogged the computers  In case you don't know why, you can read yesterday's post, Jan has Information Leak.  We hope she isn't contagious.

Spring Makes House Calls

Buddy:  We decided to post some signs of spring today.

Micah:  Spring is coming, isn't it?

Cyndi:  Yes, it will be here just as soon as Old Man Winter moves his butt out of the way!

Marcus:  Cyndi, I've never seen a spring.  What does it look like?

Sam:  It looks something like this tree.  We see it every day on our walks.

Marcus: How come you've seen it and I haven't?

Buddy:  It's because you're a Mini Me.  When I was younger, I was always in a big hurry and sped down the road with my head down.  I missed so much along the way.  Now I walk slower and notice more.

Sam:  This is a tree on the corner.

Cameron:  I'd like to see spring too but I don't get to help you dogs walk Jan.  Does spring make house calls?

Merci:  It would be more inclined to do so if Jan had a green thumb.  But we do have the oak tree beside the dog pen and lots of oak trees surrounding us.  Before long everything will be coated in yellow, Jan will sneeze and be grumpy.

Marcus:  Jan is allergic to yellow?

Buddy:  She is when the yellow is pollen.

Merci:  I always love to see the wisteria wrapped around the tree branches. The big stick to the right is what is left of a pine tree after the top half snapped off during the ice storm last month.  There are a lot of broken pines in that area.

Rusty:  We are honored to receive the Sunshine Award again.

Marcus:  You better not post this.  Jan will start sneezing and be grumpy.

Percy:  No, Marcus, this isn't yellow pollen,   It's a yellow flower.

Cameron:  We received it from Happiness is a Siamese.  And we knew we better post it right away or we'd forget.  *hangs head*  We're sorry we've been bad about forgetting.

Micah:  Actually we've been too good about forgetting.  That's what's bad.  We just haven't been able to keep up with everything going on in life and around the blogs.

Cyndi:  We'd like to thank Mikko and mom for the award and also what they said about us and our blog.  *blush*

Sam:  We're supposed to tell you 10 things about ourselves and pass the award on to 10 other blogs, but if we don't finish our post and let Jan have the computer so she can work on her important project, we're going to all be in big trouble, so that will have to wait.

Percy:  Today is the day we Funny Farmer Felines publish a cat blogger interview at Mousebreath, but we haven't heard from any of the potential interviewees again, so we'll nap for another week.  Things have been very hectic around here so we're not complaining.  We'll be back when we have an interview to post.

Don't forget to join Rascal & Rocco's Pet Parade.  And check out this week's Featured Blogger.  http://www.rascalandrocco.com/

There are no rules.  Any blogger can participate and you can join up any time during the coming week.

Luke Visits, Cats Nap

Buddy:  Hey, it's Friday.  Does this mean we get to nap till Monday?

Sam:  No, it means we better do a Friday post.

Buddy:  Do you have any idea what we can post on today?

Merci:  I do.  Luke came by to visit us for the day on Monday.  We said we would post some photos.

Buddy:  Yes, but that was before we saw the photos she took.

Merci

Merci:  Yes, they aren't very good.  She tried to sneak up on us and take photos through the screen door of us sleeping.  See, I was keeping watch for her at the door.

Sam, Luke & Marcus
Sam:  As soon as she snapped Merci's photo, we were all up and heading for the door.  We wanted inside.

Merci (tail), Sam, Marcus

Buddy:  Jan couldn't open the door because we would have all charged inside. I was inside napping so they didn't knock me over with their roughhousing.  Merci knew they weren't getting inside and went down the steps.  But look at those pathetic let-me-in faces.  Their conversation went something like the following.

Merci, Sam, Marcus

Sam:  Hey, guys, where are you going?  I thought we wanted inside.

Merci:  We do but Jan won't let us in until it's time for Luke to go home.  Something about being rude to our guest.

Marcus:  Yeah, we might as well go back to napping.   But I don't understand why Jan won't let us back in our own home.

Merci:  It's because of Chewy.

Marcus:  Who's Chewy?

Sam:  That's what Luke is known by now because he chews up anything and everything.  Jan has work to do and she can't keep her eyes on Luke so he doesn't chew up things.  That means we have to keep him company outside.

Marcus:  But what if we have to go?  Doesn't she have to let us in then?

Merci:  Nice try, Marcus, but if we have to go, we  would have to come outside.  We're already outside.  We might as well hunker down for the afternoon.  Good thing it's nice out today.

Percy:  Today is supposed to be Funny Farmer Feline Friday at Mousebreath, but none of our interviewees are available this week, so we're taking a nap in order to be ready for the next one.

Cyndi:  We can always use more names for our list.

Cameron:  Yes, life intervenes and interviewees sometimes have to postpone until a later time. We hope some kitty will be available for next week.

Rusty:  If you are a blogging kitty and you'd like to be interviewed, let us know.  We know we haven't reached all the blogging cats.

Micah:  There's a contact form in our sidebar.  Just don't send smoke signals.  We can't read them.

Percy:  Why would any cat send smoke signals?

Micah:  I don't know.  Maybe he doesn't have email?

Percy:  Then he can leave a comment on our blog.

Micah:  Good idea, Percy.  You want to tell them that or should I?

Be sure to join the Pet Parade blog hop hosted by Rascal & Rocco.

It's co-hosted by us (Jan's Funny Farm) and Bionic Basil.

Stunning DJCK

Rusty:  Welcome to another Funny Farmer Feline Friday.

Cameron: Even if your weather is miserable, you are sure to enjoy today's interview.

Percy:  Yes, our special guest is Cathy Keisha, the cat with 'tude that will make you grin.

Cyndi:  Cathy Keisha is well-known around the blogosphere, as well as Twitter.

Micah:  You can read and enjoy her story, Cathy Keisha ... DJCK is in da House, exclusively at Mousebreath, the ezine written especially for cats, by cats and for cat lovers.

Percy:  Hey, we had a wonderful surprise this morning.  M.K. Clinton gave us the Sunshine Award.  Imagine that.  And on a cold, rainy day too.  This sunshine sure feels good.  Thank you so much - and for including us in such good company with the other recipients.

Cyndi:  And since we're so forgetful, we decided we better post it before the sunflower dies of old age because we didn't read our To Post file again.  *sigh*  .

Micah:  As usual, we're running way behind schedule and Jan is telling us we better hurry and finish because she has things to do.

Rusty:  We had to sit up with her until after midnight last night because she was working on a project she couldn't shut down until after it finished.

Cameron:  And that was just Part A.  There's Part B through Part Tearing-Out-Her-Hair.  That doesn't sound like much fun, so we're glad all we have to do is keep her company and plug our ears.

Percy:  Oh, by the way, we had an email this morning from a human friend named Marty.  He read our Thursday "A Life of Crime"  post where Marcus ate/shredded Jan's dishtowel.  He said he doesn't think it was Marcus' fault either.  He thinks it was the San Andreas fault. I have a sneaky suspicion he's trying to shift the blame from Jan (in the end, it's always her fault). We're going to have to check out this San Andreas.  He must get into more trouble than Jan does.

It's also the day for Rascal and Rocco's Pet Parade blog hop, which we help co-host with Bionic Basil.

There are no rules.  Tell all your friends. You don't have to be a cat.  Any blogger can join us - cat, rat, dog, miniature pig, even a human -  so you have no excuse. Also, you'll want to stop by Rascal & Rocco's to find out if you are this week's Featured Blogger.
