15 Meows and A Hop
PERCY: I know you won't believe this but we are actually back with another Mousebreath interview today. 15 and Meowing is a large cat family and we had a lot of fun interviewing them. So many personalities and so many stories. It was hard to choose what to print.
CYNDI: We have always put the cats into one graphic but we thought it would be easier to introduce them if we do more than one picture. Phoebe is the friendly one waving at you.
RUSTY: Obviously, Joanie is a tortie at heart. Notice the tongue attitude. :)
15 Meows Make A Home, at Mousebreath.
Friday is also time for the Pet Parade blog hop, hosted by by Rascal and Roscoe. It is co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Barking From the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

Revenge of the Furniture
BUDDY: We have just solved the mystery of Jan's aborted flying lesson on February 2 of this year.
MICAH: And you aren't going to believe this. It's like The Twilight Zone revisited.
RUSTY: If you're too young to know what the Twilight Zone is, just ask your great-great-great-grandmother.
MERCI: *elbow to Percy's ribs* Shhhh, here comes Jan. She has seen the Twilight Zone and she'll get very upset if you are telling readers she's from the mediaeval era.
PERCY: It began in the early hours of February 1st. Buddy got up and wandered around the room. Jan wanted to sleep and when he didn't go back to bed, she took the thin lap robe Buddy uses for a blankie and snapped it in the dark.
SAM: It caught the doorknob so she snapped it hard again. It came loose, Buddy went back to bed, she covered him with his blankie, and that was the end of it.
MARCUS: Only it wasn't the end of anything. When Jan opened her eyes in the morning, this is what greeted her. Now you know I didn't do that. I'm a very good boy!
MERCI: *cough, cough* Sorry, I had a little *he he* spasm there.
CYNDI: See, Jan didn't catch the doorknob with Buddy's blankie. She caught the drawer handle and yanked out the drawer. It made a nice nest for me. Can you see me - the orange, white and black blob inside the dresser? Ignore the brown blob on the right. Marcus loves to have his picture taken but he gets so excited he can't stay still.
MARCUS: I am not an excited blob. I wanted to get in there too but I didn't fit. You can't see Cyndi in the first picture because she was lying down. But then she woke and started her morning bath.
CYNDI: Excuse me. A bath is a private ritual. Please take the camera elsewhere.
MICAH: Do you see? What happened to Jan was the revenge of the offended furniture.
SAM: Jan attacked the bureau first. The next day Jan sprinted for the phone and one of our dog beds reared up to trip her.
RUSTY: And the TV and stand ran interference on behalf of the Feisty Furniture team.
BUDDY: I hope she learned a lesson. Never snap my blankie at the furniture. Furniture fights back! And she really doesn't need any more holes in her head.
PERCY: By the way, the bureau said this morning it wants an apology from Jan or it will report her to the Federation of Battered and Fractured Furniture. Who wants to be the one to inform Jan?

Cease or Survive
CAMERON: It's Funny Farmer Feline Friday over at Mousebreath and we should be posting a Mousebreath interview today ...
CYNDI: ... however, none of the five who volunteered has returned our questions, so we are again without one.
MICAH: We know others are busy but not having an interview has become the "norm", so we're thinking, despite some bloggers saying they enjoy the interviews ...
RUSTY: ... and some saying they would like to be interviewed, perhaps it's time for us to retire from doing them. Our aim has been for you to meet new friends or get to know old friends better.
PERCY: We have invested a lot of time, worked hard and published a total of 114 interviews. We used to start from scratch, search archives and invest many hours in one interview, plus put together a graphic, until it became overwhelming and we ended up deleting a large number of incomplete folders because the interviewees were gung ho about being interviewed but didn't get back to us when their family or time crisis improved or respond to repeated requests for information. If you are bored with our interviews, we can stop publishing them. If you want them to continue, we need some coaction. (That means we need your help and cooperation.)

Scoop on Parade
MICAH: It's Funny Farmer Felines Friday and we do have another exciting cat interview for you today.
CYNDI: Yes, we are very fortunate that the guys from The Adventures of Buckaroo & Banzai blog ... um, what were there names again ... oh, yes, Buckaroo and Banzai -
CAMERON: What Cyndi is trying to say is that we are very fortunate Buckaroo and Banzai were able to spare some time from their very busy schedule at the Banzai Institute to answer some questions.
RUSTY: It's not every day we get to talk to some famous kitties. Their human is the Den Master of the Cat Scouts so we have the scoop on ... No, we won't spoil the interview but we aren't scooping cat litter. That's Jan's job.
PERCY: You can read Buckaroo and Banzai Tout the Scouts at Mousebreath, the ezine for cats written by cats.
It's also time for the weekly Pet Parade.

Ms. Stella Speaks
RUSTY: For various reasons, we haven't been able to do many cat interviews for a while, but we have one today. So we are back - temporarily, at least.
MICAH: Yes, we Funny Farmer Felines have interviewed the kitties from Ms. Stella O'Houligan's blog. If you know her, you're aware she's fun and feisty.
CAMERON: We just popped by her blog tonight (Thursday) and found Ms. Stella and her siblings have been on nursing duty. We hope their humans are getting well and have not been as big a nuisance to the nursing staff as Jan has been since her failed flight attempt.
CYNDI: We also hope if one of them has a knee injury, Marcus doesn't visit. Jan finally got out to walk the other day. Marcus was directly in front of Jan when he suddenly decided to u-turn and head home. He and Jan were then moving forward at a fast clip in opposite directions, so he rammed his bulldog head into Jan's painful knee. We think she should wear full body padding.
PERCY: Stop by the ezine for cats, Mousebreath, to read their story, Ms. Stella, Miss Scraps, Miss Jack and Mr. Oliver.
The Pet Parade blog hop is hosted by Rascal and Roscoe. It is co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Barking From the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

Cat Herders
MICAH: Today is a great day! I feel like singing. Would anyone like to sing with me?
RUSTY: What is so great about today? The weather is cold, wet and miserable.
CYNDI: I think he's happy because we published an interview with Sometimes Cats Herd You on Mousebreath today.
CAMERON: So many things have happened since October, our interviews have been sparse. We want to get back into the swing of things, but we need your help. Are you a cat blogger? Would you like to be interviewed? Then contact us.
PERCY: We invite you to stop by Mousebreath to read Cat Herders Pierre, Newton and Ashton. They are quite an interesting family.

Calling Perry Mason
SAM: Uh-oh, some kitty is in trouble.
MARCUS: Some kitty? You mean it's not me in trouble this time?
RUSTY: No, Marcus, not this time!
BUDDY: The other day Jan went to the store and bought some hamburger. When she got home the phone rang, so she set the bag down on the washing machine.
CAMERON: By the time she got off the phone, she had forgotten about it.
MERCI: When she remembered and went back to put it in the fridge, this is what she found.
PERCY: She thinks I did it. Why would she think it was me?
CYNDI: Probably because there was a small hole in the plastic bag and a big hole in the package - without a trace of the missing plastic.
MICAH: And we all know you like to eat plastic, Percy, so you are the most logical suspect.
PERCY: Yes, but you hang out a lot in the kitchen and you like meat, Micah. Why aren't you on the suspected criminal list?
MICAH: Because you're the perfect suspect, Percy, and I'm not known for a plastic appetite.
PERCY: Well, just because you haven't been known for eating plastic, doesn't mean you wouldn't.
SAM: Have either of you considered the other could be innocent?
MICAH and PERCY: NO!
RUSTY: I would definitely point a paw at Marcus, except he would have swiped the bag, eaten the packaging, and left no evidence. Not a trace, except possibly the grocery bag.
MARCUS: *wipes brow with paw* What a relief! I've been proven innocent. Percy and Micah, do you need an attorney? Would you like for me to call one for you?
PERCY and MICAH: Yes, get me Perry Mason!

Yesterday Today Tomorrow
CAMERON: Good morning. We are celebrating another Funny Farmer Felines Friday. Or we will when our teeth stop chattering.
RUSTY: Brrr, it's cold. We've been doing a lot of napping and nomming to stay warm. The dogs didn't even want to walk yesterday. No, that was Jan. The dogs just agreed with her.
MICAH: We interviewed the cats from the Timmy Tomcat blog. They're quite a nice family, so we hope if you don't already know them, you'll stop by to meet them.
PERCY: You can read their story, Timmy, Tomcats and Miss Fritz, at Mousebreath, the ezine written by cats for cats.
CYNDI: We told you the other day the monitor had stopped flashing us. That was the truth. Until last night. Or actually tonight since we're writing this now to auto post early tomorrow morning.
BUDDY: If you are reading this tonight, you have a problem because it hasn't published yet. So please be patient until Friday morning.
SAM: Unless Blogger decided to make it three days in a row our scheduled post didn't publish on schedule. In that case, you aren't reading this Friday morning either.
MERCI: At least not early Friday morning. We're planning a sleep-in till at least ... whenever. This cold makes a body tired. *stretch, yawn* Night.
MARCUS: All this posting talk has given me a headache. It's after midnight now, so are we yesterday, today or tomorrow?
The Pet Parade is hosted by Rascal and Roscoe. It is co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Barking From the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

Loopy at the Funny Farm
CYNDI: Our 2014 ended with a flash and began with one.
MICAH: For months we've had flashing banners on our screen from our monitor.
MERCI: Those banners have become such a pain in the .... uh-oh, I better watch what I say. Jan has a bar of soap and knows how to use it.
RUSTY: Lately, the flashing banners begin even before Jan has a chance to log on in the morning and continue all day.
BUDDY: It takes three forevers to do anything. We can't read our mail, do a post or anything without this constant flashing.
PERCY: The banners cover the middle of the screen and there's no way around them. We have to just wait and try to do something in between flashes. Nothing has worked, not even blowing in air in case it's dirty.
MARCUS: I used to like the banners. They're eye-catching and energetic - like me! Only it's hard to read my fan mail with them.
SAM: What fan mail? You got a note from some female named Flo asking if you are the Marcus who graduated at the top of his class at the Doright Obedience School. It was a wrong number via email. I don't know how she confused you with an obedient dog. Fan mail, my eye!
CAMERON: Jan did a new search and found the flashing could be caused by a dirty doohicky in the monitor or the setup button could have gone loopy. Yeah, loopy, that's the problem. We definitely need a new monitor but as Jan would say, they don't grow on trees. Not local trees, anyway.
The Pet Parade is hosted by Rascal and Roscoe. It is co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Barking From the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

Ginga Ninja and Fursibs
Rusty: It's that time of the week again. We get to do what we do best - talk.
Micah: Yes, it's interview time again and we have some fun subjects for you today.
Cameron: Actually, all the interviewees are fun. Today we're going to try to keep up with Orange Boy Obi's I'm a Ginga Ninja family of eight kitties.
Cyndi: Obi is a Cat Scout and he shares with us - the Fabulous Funny Farmer Felines - the juicy details of why Buckaroo foobar was promoted to Cat Scout and then demoted back to Kit Scout. (We suggest you don't eat or drink while you read it.)
Percy: So pull up a footstool, put down your catnip tea and drop over to Mousebreath ezine to read the story - Obi, Maisy, Cliff, Chloe, Indy, Pixel, Maya and LittleLove Chat.

Houseful of Cats
Cyndi: Have we ever got a cathouse interview for you today.
Rusty: Not a cathouse interview, Cyndi, a houseful of cats interview. We interviewed a houseful of cats.
Micah: You're going to love them. They're the kitties from Kitty Cat Chronicles.
Cameron: We neglected to ask what a Meatloafing Badge is but we did learn lots of other interesting facts about the cats.
Marcus: He's a cat after our own hearts. Walking in our footsteps even if he is a cat. We'll have to make him an honorary dog.

Sam: We have to go now. We're working on our letter to Santa Paws so it will reach him in time for this Christmas.
Merci: Yes, we definitely need to get to work on that. At the rate we've been moving this year, we won't get all our paw print signatures on it before Easter.
Buddy: Well, we better finish it ASAP! It's only in first draft. We've got elebenty-seven drafts to go. And Percy wants to start typing it for posting next Monday.

Telling on Jan
Cameron: Mmmmfth, munff. Oh, sorry, I was just having a late breakfast. Around here breakfast is always late. We think Jan needs a new watch.
Micah: Speaking of a watch, are we allowed to tell a story on Jan?
Sam: Are you kidding? We tell stories on Jan all the time. What's one more?
Merci: Okay, Jan belongs to a club. Yesterday it was her turn to be the timer.
Rusty: Oh, I know where this is going. Jan set the timer, walked off and forgot it and burned their lunch.
Percy: No, it's not a cooking club. It's a speaking club and the speakers are timed.
Cyndi: Yes, she was supposed to start the stopwatch and turn lights on and off so each speaker would know when to zip the lip and sit.
Marcus: So what was the problem? I don't imagine Jan could handle turning lights on and off in correct sequence, but surely she could manage the timing without our help!
Buddy: Not exactly. The speaker started talking and Jan pressed the stopwatch. Nothing happened. She kept pressing and still nothing happened. How could she time the speaker without a timer? So she got up, walked to the president's chair, and whispered she couldn't get the stopwatch to work.
Cameron: So what happened? Did the president stop the meeting and make the speaker start his speech over again?
Sam: No. He turned the stopwatch upside right and handed it back to Jan.
Percy: Last week we said we would post a Mousebreath interview with Max the Psychokitty today, but we decided to postpone it one more week since he and his human are finishing his latest book.
Rusty: Oh, speaking of the interviews, we are open to volunteers or suggestions for future interviews. .

Irishman Clown O'Doofus
Micah: Hi, This is a recycled art photo of me. We are pretty desperate to get a post up so we can collapse for the night. (Yes, it's Thursday night as we type this.)
Cameron: It's been one of those days again. We know you're tired of hearing we are having / have had computer problems but not half as exhausted as we are living through them.
Marcus: Thursday morning when Jan turned on the computer, Windows had misplaced our hard drive again and Jan nearly had a heart attack. We weren't feeling so feisty either.
Percy: And after what Marcus has been putting all of us through lately, if he isn't feeling feisty, something major is wrong.
Cyndi: This time when Jan restarted the computer, Windows found its missing "boot". Last time this happened (a week ago?) it took several hours and Mr. Doug to get us going again.
Merci: But later ... everything slid downhill without a sled! We didn't think we were going to have computer access tonight.
Sam: However, we do. So we should celebrate that it's Friday and it's time for the Pet Parade, which we help co-host. Go ahead, enter your blog url and social media urls and visit some of the other blogs that enter.
Rusty: Again, we don't have a Mousebreath interview. Well, actually we do, but there have been so many interruptions this week, we haven't had a chance to finish it. But do come back next Friday because we will feature Max the Psychokitty and Buddahpest. You do not want to miss that interview!
Buddy: By the way, our post title Thursday was a typo. It was supposed to be Clown or Doofus but the "r" was lost. Austin Towers was dead on when he read the post and called Marcus the " Irishman Clown O'Doofus". I wish Marcus would teach the rest of us dogs how to take a harness, which is worn around the shoulders, off over the hips.

Marcus Chews Again
Buddy: Happy Howl-oween from all of us Funny Farmers. We told Jan if she tried to dress us up again, we'd do more than howl.
Rusty: Jan finally finished finding everything she could think of that was not backed up when the hard drive died. But you know her memory. She hopes whatever is missing isn't important.
Percy: As we mentioned yesterday, there will not be a Mousebreath interview again this week. Perhaps next. If any of you were corresponding with us about your interview, please re-send your information.
Merci: Marcus has been eating Jan out of house and home - literally. He has been into everything. The things that came out of her car are boxed up in the living room. A few weeks ago, Jan found this on the carpet.
Cyndi: What in the world is it? Oh, wait, it's the travel water bowl Jan kept in the car in case one of you dogs needed water.
Cameron: I can't imagine how Marcus thought the bowl would hold water after he chewed a hole in the side.
Sam: And then to be absolutely certain we would have to bury the bowl, he found it again and chewed a bigger hole in it. Inside and outside this time. Guess it didn't taste as good as the first snack since this time some scraps were found with it.
Micah: I don't know why. Micah usually likes seconds. He chewed up a pot holder Wednesday night and then swiped it from where Jan "hid" it to chew on it again for a late night snack.
Marcus: I don't know why you're all tattling on me. I could tell some tales on all of you and from what I've heard from Jan, Buddy and Sam, you two have chewed up your share of dish cloths, dish towels and even clothes if there was even a whiff of food around them. So, don't pick on me. I'm normal. You're old.

Crash Bang Oops
Cameron: Last Friday, October 3rd, we heard thunder rumbling closer. All of a sudden B- A- N- G!!!!!
Micah: Jan was sitting at the kitchen table balancing her checkbook. She shot straight up in the air from off the stool, and ran for the back door.
Merci: Just as she thought, another accident. The white truck on the left and the truck in the middle of the intersection had collided. The one on the right stopped to help. (This photo was taken through the chain link dog pen.)
Percy: No sooner did she snap the photo, the storm hit. Vehicles came and left, two police cars arrived, one from the county Sheriff's Dept., and a State Trooper. It was pouring rain but due process prevailed.
Sam: Eventually, a tow truck arrived for the smaller truck. The rear driver's side door was caved in on the big white work truck but it drove off under it's own steam. Is that correct? I didn't see any steam.
Rusty: By that time the rain had stopped. Eventually, everyone pulled away and the neighborhood returned to normal.
Cyndi: Yesterday (Thursday) as Jan walked home from Toastmasters Club, the mail truck was parked in front of our house away from the intersection, a usual. A few minutes later, the mail truck was directly in front of our house behind a car with a new mail carrier (ID but no uniform yet) talking to a little old lady parked in the road in front of him.
Marcus: Jan looked at me and asked why a little old lady would stop a mail truck to chit chat with the driver. I dunno, I replied. Why don't you ask her? No, I don't want to be nosy, she answered. Really? Since when?
Buddy: It took a few minutes but we all finally realized they weren't chit chatting. One vehicle had sideswiped the other and they were waiting for reinforcements. After a bit another mail truck arrived and there was a lot of chatter. Then a non-postal pickup truck arrived. We guessed a postal supervisor because there was a lot more chatter.
Micah: Finally a police car arrived. More chatter and moving around. And then a State Patrol Officer came. Lots of back and forth movement and chatter.
Caemron: All that exercise they were getting made us tired. We didn't think they would ever leave!
Merci: But they did.
Buddy: The moral of this post is to stay away from our house for a while unless you have good collision insurance.
Percy: Well, at least we don't have to worry about there being an accident in our alley.
Marcus: Why is that?
Cyndi: Because we don't have alley access, silly.
Marcus: Oh, right. I forgot.
Sam: We don't have any pictures of Thursday's accident. Jan didn't think it was a good idea to go outside to take photos of a federal truck after a minor incident, especially since she would have had to take pictures of any damage from the middle of the street.
Cyndi: We tried to tell her no one would notice but she wasn't fooled ... I mean, she wouldn't listen.
Rusty: We don't have a Mousebreath interview today. Hopefully, we will next Friday.

Five Cats Views
Rusty: Hey, guys, I was wondering. Do you think we should rename our blog?
Percy: Rename it? Why
Rusty: Oh, I don't know. I kind of like the title of the one we're going to tell everyone about today.
Micah: You mean Two Cats Views with Hemingway and Shakespeare?
Rusty: Yes, but since we never quite see eye to eye, we could call ours Five Cats Views.
Cyndi: But what about the dogs? They would be really upset if we named the blog after ourselves.
Cameron: You're right, Cyndi. We'd have to call it Two Cats and Three and a Half Dogs Views.
Cyndi: That sounds more like discombobulation than the name of a blog.
Cameron: What is discombobulation?
Micah: I think it's confusion. Like when the cats disagree with the dogs. We all live on the Funny Farm, so the name should remain.
Rusty: By the way, how did you come up with three and a half dogs, Cameron?
Cameron: Marcus is only temporary, so he should only be allowed half a view.
Percy: One day I will learn to just introduce the latest interview while the others are sleeping. Stop by the cat ezine Mousebreath to read Writers Hemingway and Shakespeare Blog. They are a couple of fun mancats.

Talk Like A Pirate Day
Buddy: Hey, guys, it's Talk Like A Pirate Day, better known among us furries as Meow or Woof Like A Pirate Day.
Cyndi: Are we prepared or has Jan been sleeping on the job again?
Micah: Believe it or not, we have a new old graphic to post.
Cameron: What's a new old graphic?
Sam: It's the graphic Jan made us for Frankie's Pirate Day a few months ago. She added.Percy.
Merci: Oh, right. Marcus wore two eye patches back them.
Rusty: Well, at least he's only wearing one this time! It's a wonder he didn't fall overboard wandering around like that.
Marcus: Okay, I misunderstood and made a mistake. But it made you laugh so it wasn't a total disaster.
Percy: You're right. You did make us laugh. But as for today, I don't think you understand that "shiver me timbers" doesn't mean the timbers are cold.

Mousebreath Texans
Rusty: This has been a busy week and it isn't over yet! Watching Jan stress out has made us realize how much we need a vacation ... from her.
Micah: Yes, things are much calmer around here when she's not home, but she turns the computer off when she's not here. Something about not trusting us. Excuse me, do we look untrustworthy?
Cyndi: Jan has been working hard to figure out some things on this computer. Tonight (Thursday) she spent hours learning this new DVD set-up to save our work before she makes some changes.
Cameron: We fell asleep, it was so boring. At least we finally have a few minutes to do a quick post.
Percy: We hope you will pop over to read our latest Mousebreath ezine interview. This week we tell the story, Texas Trio ... Travis, Crockett and Maurice.
It's also time for the Pet Parade with your hosts Rascal and Rocco and your co-hosts Bionic Basil, Barking from the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and yours truly (Jan's Funny Farm).

Baby and Boxer
Micah: Whoopee, it's Sunday, time to smile again!
Rusty: What's so special about Sunday? I thought we could smile any day of the week.
Merci: We can but this is the day we do our Sunday Smile post.
Cameron: Hey, I was getting a drink of water. What did I miss?
Sam: Not much. We just picked a short video to share today.
Cyndi: You'll like our choice, Cameron, even though it's not the one you wanted.
Cameron: So what did you choose?
Buddy: It's a dog and baby play video. We've never met a baby so Jan isn't sure how we'd react to all that screaming, but you can tell this boxer really loves this ten-month old baby.
If the video doesn't play, click here.
Percy: We are re-posting all the weekend arty photos so we don't (we hope) forget to enter the Sunday black and white blog hop again.
Marcus: Don't forget to enter the Pet Parade 1st Anniversary giveaway. It ends this Thursday. It is not limited to the U.S. Details and entry here.
