Marcus -
I know that yesterday was officially June Tattle on Jan Day, but I just have to add my two kibble worth to the tattle.
No, it's not revenge because Jan put me in my Private Dining Car to eat my dinner. I actually LOVE my PDC.
Do you remember the nursery rhyme of Little Miss Muffet from Mother Goose?
Little Miss Muffet, sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider, who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
Jan is terrified of bugs. A spider is a bug. (In case you don't believe it's a bug, click here.)
Saturday night Jan sat down in front of the tv to eat her dinner. She picked up her fork and -

A spider rappelled from the ceiling and plopped onto her food. No, not the spider in the picture. We never met him. Hers was a very small spider.
Jan almost threw the plate across the room. But instead - since she only has four plates - with rapid reflexes, she used her fork to toss food across the room. Not just any food. Messy food. Potatoes au gratin to be exact. On the carpet.
Oh, did she regret that! She had to clean it up.
The next time Jan wants to throw food, she should make sure it's cool enough for me to eat. I would have helped her clean it up but, after all, I didn't make the mess. This time.
OMD OMD THAT is soooooo funny... we can SEE that thingy happening... too bad that it was too hot fur YOU to have cleaned up the "MESS".
ReplyDeleteOh dear! BOL

Oh my! That must have been a sight to see! Our mom isn't too freaked out by spiders, but we aren't sure what she would do if one fell into her food!
ReplyDeleteYou could have really assisted her in this mess too!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Oh no! My Dad would have had to go change pants!
ReplyDeleteAt our house food thrown on the floor is quickly eaten up by US. stella rose
ReplyDeleteOur Mum is OK with tiny money spiders but if it's a big spider she is scared to death!
ReplyDeleteMommy doesn't like bugs either and me's thinkin' as much as she might have wanted to eat dat dinner, she woulda thrown it all outside to make sure da spider was gone. MOL Glad all is well. It's a real pain when you make a mess and then have to clean it up too.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
Dezi and Raena
I would have tossed the plate. I am sure you wanted to help clean up.

ReplyDeleteMOL ! Claire would have tossed the plate, for sure ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteOMG, Marcus, you could have eaten a SPIDER!!! Not that they are harmful. Really, they are the protectors of your and Jan's house so you can tell her that she needn't be afraid. Tarantulas, yes, itsy, bitsy spiders, no. I wish she could talk to mama about bugs. Mama loves bugs and can't harm a flea. Well, maybe a flea and she does whack flies, but all the other bugs she puts outside to live their lives.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we have wood floors in most of the house - so much easier to clean.
ReplyDeleteWe are NOT fans of spiders either! We do LOVE potatoes au gratin though.
ReplyDeleteOur mom bean would have done the furry same thing. She hates bugs but most especially spiders. We sure hope there were extra potatoes so Jan didn't ave to go hungry.

Spiders would give our petcretary the same kind of near panic...even teeny ones get her all a fluster.
ReplyDeletePoor lost spuds...hope the carpet is clean...at lest you know what and where that mess came from, BOL!
