Vote Merci Week 11

We entered Merci in week two of the Cutest Dog Competition, but we have spent so much time offline with computer problems or the CDC site wouldn't let our friends vote or .... So we've pretty much given up hope of winning anything, but there are only two weeks left so we're going to stick it out.

If you would like to vote for Merci -- and we think she is the cutest dog! -- this is a direct link to her voting page.

Since we have financial needs and Jan has 9 of us to support -- kind of a mini rescue of her own -- we aren't promising to give everything we might win away as some are doing, but we would give $50 of the weekly prize of $500 to a blogger or animal group in need at the time. We can't donate it to the local shelter; it's run by the county, not on donation. But since Jan has long been helping furries even when she' has little or no income, you know there would be furries benefiting.

And now we have to give the computer back to Jan. She has more work to do. The computer is slowly coming together. She debated over reinstalling Works Suite 2005 so she can have Word again, but instead decided to install Open Office. Now she has to learn how to use it, since she has a local Humane Society column that is due first thing tomorrow morning.

We'll be "seeing" you soon.

Crystal, Cotton, Merci, Cyndi, Percy, Cameron, Buddy, Rusty & Sam

PS -- Please go visit Angel & Taz's blog. They have rarely posted in a number of months because their mom has been sick. She is very discouraged and is considering giving up blogging. We've all been there, so we need to encourage her.

  1. Yes, we have all been there and as more and more people start blogging it is very hard to keep up with everyone! Good luck to Merci!

  2. It's good to hear that the computer is coming together again. We were really happy that you made it to our blogoversary yesterday. Vote Merci!

  3. We tried to vote in Merci, but were unable to register on the site, oh my GOD, how shall we do?

OMG! This google's translator sometimes doesn't work very well :(
But that's OK, Mom was the weekend at her cousin's home, not long ago that she is home with me.
She was missing me, and I miss her.
    But all is well =)

We don't have Mikhroskhwish - we use OpenOffice -

We don't use it much (or furry well) but we use it ;-)

  11. 29 votes!
    Go, Merci!
    Kisses and hugs

  12. Merci you are indeed the very cutest dog!
Jan does wonderful work and we love her for it.
Thanks for asking about dad. He is seeing rapid improvement this week. The last 3 have been slow progress but he is getting strength back and building the muscle up again and he is walking on the very slowest speed on the treadmill. He's also using less pain meds. Yeah, so that's why mom was cleaning and hurting her back outside, because there was no one else to do it.

  13. Hey Gang,
The website actually let us vote tonight. Merci 31 votes.
Hope the PC loadout is progressing and that you'll be back to "normal" (hahahahaha) soon.

  14. Crystal: "Getting older and slowing down isn't any fun, is it, LC? "

Yeah, yer right, it isnt. I'm slower, fatter, tired, crankier, an it takes me a longer time ta eat my dinner!

I'm getting meds squirted down my throght twicet a day. Visiten the indoor or outdoor litterboxes more often and I just wanna sit around most of the time.

The good news is that I let The Big Thing hold me on his lap more often. The stroking feels kinna good these days. I even fell asleep there a few days ago an I NEVER done that before. Ok, once mebbe last month.

I don't wanna do that, but sometimes I do.

  15. We're glad Jan sorted her compooter problems and hope Merci wins. Go Merci, GO!

  16. Voted! And the mom says we are on the way to Angel and Taz's blog to help their mom want to blog (at least once a week like we force our mom to do MOL).

Thank you for my happy gotcha day wishes,

    Sir Trooder Lioncourt

Thanks for coming by. We love to hear from you.
