Well, after 2 weeks of Murphy's Law (anything that can go wrong will), Jan is hogging the computer loading programs and starting from scratch with Windows XP. But thanks to Mr. Doug, she can now download her emails and access the internet.
He arrived last night with a clean hard drive just in time. The laptop Jan was loaned overheated or something for the second time and scared her worse than when she backs up and steps on Buddy's tail. (He screams, she screams.)
That's where we stand now, waiting on Jan to get everything set up so we can kick her off and get back to some serious blogging.
We hope you have all had a good two weeks and haven't forgotten us. If we can send Murphy and his law packing, we'll be back soon.

ReplyDeleteGoodness computer problems too! Mom turned on the computer about a week ago and lost her sbc email account. She tried everything then finally went on AT&T chat room and they helped her through getting the account back on. Then when she finally got back on she couldn't send. So on the chat room again. Now it's all fixed and she can send too. Hope you will be back real real soon.

ReplyDeleteWe sure sympathize with jan having to reload a clean hard drive. That daunting task still awaits dad for his desktop; his hard drive crashed and he got a new, bigger and better, hard drive. But he hasn't loaded anything but the OS as he has the kitchen laptop to play with. Good luck Jan.
