Cease or Survive

CAMERON:  It's Funny Farmer Feline Friday over at Mousebreath and we should be posting a Mousebreath interview today ...

CYNDI: ... however, none of the five who volunteered has returned our questions, so we are again without one.

MICAH:  We know others are busy but not having an interview has become the "norm", so we're thinking, despite some bloggers saying they enjoy the interviews ...

RUSTY:  ... and some saying they would like to be interviewed,  perhaps it's time for us to retire from doing them.  Our aim has been for you to meet new friends or get to know old friends better.

PERCY:  We have invested a lot of time, worked hard and published  a total of 114 interviews.  We used to start from scratch, search archives and invest many hours in one interview, plus put together a graphic, until it became overwhelming and we ended up deleting a large number of incomplete folders because the interviewees were gung ho about being interviewed but didn't get back to us when their family or time crisis improved or respond to repeated requests for information.   If you are bored with our interviews, we can stop publishing them.  If you want them to continue, we need some coaction.  (That means we need your help and cooperation.)

Friday is also time for the Pet Parade blog hop, hosted by by Rascal and Roscoe.  It is co-hosted by Bionic Basil, Barking From the Bayou, Love is being owned by a husky, and us (Jan's Funny Farm).

There are two parts to the blog hop - your blog url and social media, so be sure to sign up for both.

When you link up with the blog hop, we encourage you to visit other participating blogs.

  2. Wow! You guys have done a lot of interviews! I'm going to have to go over there and look through them. It can be really tough getting other people to cooperate with your process. Sometimes getting people to just email you back is like pulling teeth. As far as I've seen, your interviews go over really well. Personally, I think you should keep at it.

  4. WE think your interviews have been great! But we also understand if you want to take a break from doing them. Coordination is tough!

  5. We got interviewed once. It was fun. But yeah, we know that is a big investment on your part, so maybe you should take a break for awhile.

  6. But I love your interviews! And I thought being interviewed was just part of being a public figure - which we blogging kitties are!

  7. If I meep and chirp to Mommy long enough she'd probably help me do an interview. Catitude has been around a long time, but I haven'!
I like your interviews. Sometimes I don't know the kitties, and it starts me visiting.

  8. I'm not a blogger, but love the interviews. I learn about other blogs and it gets me searching for new friends. Maybe you need to stop for a few months and restart at the end of summer.

  11. I recently got interviewed by Bionic Basil & had a lot of fun doing it :-) It kind of takes two interested parties to pull an interview together, so I can understand your frustration!

  15. That is a lot of hard work. You have to do what is right for you and your limited time.

  16. Wowee! And we had one of them...a while back.
Loads if work...meowmy/growlmy used to make a lot of kimis (a type of graphic) for furry pals, and now that she has restricted the making of them she feels a sense of relief and freedom to do/start other things, one of which is our blogs...not the bloggiest furs are we, but we do enjoy reading them all and making our contribution of comments, etc.

So by all means take a break or stop altogether, maybe if furs ask *you* fur an interview, you may get better cooperation and less waste of your own precious times.

  19. Happy Caturday Jan! Mom figured out how to add two blog hops today. One the art hop and first the pet parade! We loves all the interviewz and all the hard work you do.

We would likes to be purr viewed, and promise to be goods at answering all the questions. but there am so many kitties here that Mom's not sure who would like to be the spokepurrson... that's why we hazn't asked yet. So Mom will ask all the kittiez and maybe we draw short strawz or sumpin. Me thinks that Joey or Katie Too might like to be inturviewed...cause dey am furry smart or I iz the youngest at Uncle Mikes house... maybe I coulds do dat or we coulds ask Ellie May, the youngest kitty dat needs a fur ever home real soon. Lil Bear.
