Killer of Bear Bear Guilty
Federal officer Keith Shepherd has been found guilty of misdemeanor animal cruelty and misdemeanor discharging a fire arm in the shooting death of Bear Bear at a dog park in August. This shooting sparked the wrath of animal lovers all over the world. It appears, though, that he received probation instead of jail time. You can read the story here.

ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know. I'm glad that he was convicted (although I still don't understand how it was only a misdemeanor). Did he at least lose his job, I hope?

Shoots a dog in public and it's OK? It sounds like a Malaysian story!
ReplyDeleteWe think the Beins wif the guns are too free ta use them...
ReplyDeleteI am glad that he was found guilty, but probation seems too light a sentence to me. Happy Birthday, Buddy!
ReplyDeleteWe agre JAIL him ~ he didn't give dear little Bear a choice.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Buddy today! Have a super day!
ReplyDeleteIt's Saturday and we see it's Buddy's birthday, came over to wish him a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteLiving in Virginia, I followed this story and was glad he was found guilty, however, sadly it doesn't bring Bear-Bear back, but it does give him a little bit of justice. I admire the family and the supporters for standing up for Bear-Bear's rights and not letting it go.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Buddy! We are glad Bear Bear will be justified.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Buddy!!

Happy Birthday Buddy.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad that nasty man got convicted but how did he get away with it still.
We are wishing Buddy a belated Happy Birthday and are glad that there was some justice for Bear Bear.
ReplyDeleteBut Mama believes the officer should have had a stiffer sentence for shooting someone else's pet.
