CSN Pet Beds

Hi, This is Buddy. I was voted decided it is my turn to introduce today's post. So here we go before the other Funny Farmers realize wake up from their naps.

We ordered some pet beds, mainly for us canines because Jan makes cat beds out of plastic dishpans and warm bedding for the cats, but none of us dogs can fit in a dishpan. Jan bought us new beds last year but was very disappointed because they did not hold up under our care.

The beds arrived and we couldn't wait for Jan to take photos so we could try them. Here they are fresh out of the shipping box.  Notice who is first in line to get his photo taken.  Yep, it's Sam again.

I immediately laid claim to the pretty tan one that compliments my coat..  As you can see, I paid no attention to Jan telling me to move because it's Merci's bed and I'm too big for it.

Here we are posing with our new beds.  The tan one on Sam's bed is one of those we used two winters ago.  As you can see, it is much smaller than the new one.  In fact, two of the old tan beds equal the size of the new one.  So we have plenty of room to stretch out.

Here is Sam lounging.

Here I am lounging.  This is the proper way to sleep on a bed.  (Wad it up first.)

This is Jan's idea of canine beds.  Lay them out and line them up neatly.

But this is the proper way to make a dog comfortable.  I have tried to explain this to Jan.  I even offered to let her take my bedmaking course without charge.  But, no, she thinks this looks uncomfortable, not to mention an eyesore.  She has a lot to learn!

Here we are scaring Jan.  She has a habit of suddenly swiveling our office chair, leaping to her feet and racing for the kitchen.  Surprise, Jan!  This is what she found when she swiveled around one day.  She had to lean back over the computer desk to take this picture.  Heeheehee, we moved all the beds and blocked her in.

The weather was fairly warm for some of October and none of the ktities would sleep in their new bed.  But when Jan removed the cushion one day, Percy decided it made the perfect pillow.  Oooooh, is it soft!

As soon as the weather started to change again, Cameron decided the new cat bed is more comfortable than his dishpan.

Here's a night shot of our "bedroom" after Jan told us to clean up the living room and we complied. Then we needed a nap.

This is Merci's cave under the sofa.  She likes to sleep under something.  Or at least she used to.

I started dragging it from under the couch so I can use it too. In this picture Sam is trying to pretend he fits on it.

We'll finish up with a photo of our adorable Cyndi enjoying a turn in the kitty bed.

So, did you figure out whether we like our new beds and if these beds can survive our care?  Hint - we love our beds.  I can wad up the big ones, we can play musical beds with them, move them around and drive Jan crazy.  Even the cats will join us on occasion. And if Jan ever decides to take us camping (yeah!), she can just roll them up and throw them in the car.

And Jan is very pleased with them because they are all washable and she claims if they can survive a month with my bedmaking skills, they can survive anything!  Hey, wait, that's not a compliment, is it!

  1. Hee hee...we like y'all's bedmaking skills! Mommy says your doggie beds look about right for her to lounge on the floor to watch TV! We don't THINK she'd get one, but you never know...she's crazypants!

  2. We would say your beds are a big hit. We got new beds this year and we like them OK, but the old ones were so much better to us. Mom wishes she had gotten round ones like the old ones, but we are stuck with these for a long time, she says.

Glad you had such a positive experience.

  7. Great review of the beds. I think you have a book here, "One Hundred Plus Ways To Sleep". You all look so comfy. I think the doggie's don't get it. Much better to curl up on something soft, not to wad it up to sleep on it. We kitties know just the right technique for catching some good zzzzzzs.

We want to thank you so much for your kind words on our blog and your post on here for Inigo. It's been a hard time for him, and it makes it easier to have so much friendship and support. Thank you so much.

  17. We're glad that CSN is giving you all more stuff to review. We had to buy our cat tower after we saw your review on the one you got! We have enough cat beds to have you all over for a slumber party and half of the Katnip Lounge crew, too, so we'll pass on this item, but we hope you get more stuff to review!!!

    Your friends, Fuzzy and Zoe

  18. Musical beds would be a good idea for a party - they look very comfy and cosy too. Do you always sleep in your own bed or do you flop in the nearest when you're tired.
Thank you for your kind message about Lucy yesterday - she is a little better today and has eaten one or two mouthfuls of food.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
