We Cats are in the Doghouse

Rusty I'm introducing the post today.

We had another post planned but one of us kitty's knocked Jan's glasses off the desk during the night and she stepped on them first thing this morning. So we're all in the doghouse because they were very expensive, irreplaceable reading glasses. She special ordered them at the Dollar Tree.

Okay, we're fibbing. She can pick up another pair tomorrow for a dollar. She has other pairs around the house but not one pair is the right strength to use for the computer. They are either too weak or too strong and her eyes are really bothering her. So we're sneaking on here while she's doing laundry.

Every shelter in the nation should do the same as this shelter has done - destroy every vestige of the barbaric gas chamber! Fayette County, Ohio's shelter is under new management, but it took the threat of a lawsuit for changes to be made. You can read the story here. We applaud this shelter for doing the right thing and trying to upgrade its service to the animals as well as to the community.

Don't forget to vote daily for one of the 3 shelters. Every vote helps to decided how much total litter will be divided between them and what % of it each will receive. Bookmark this link and vote.

  3. Oh dear--the Woman would be very upset if we allowed her to break her glasses. (they are not for reading but for driving and really ARE very expensive!)

  12. I know all of you and I know beyond a doubt that this was just an accident. You must have been playing a little too hard and the glasses got in the way. I am wondering how she could find you to put you in the doggie house if she couldn't see. How was it in the doggie house? Did the doggie's mind that they had company for the day??? Glad she can replace them without too much $$$$.

  17. Oh my gosh. I have those SAME glasses. I got absolutely cracked up about the irreplaceability of the Dollar Tree glasses. I have pairs lying all over the house (since I can't read anything any more without them.) I can't imagine the fury I would feel if one of my kitties knocked a pair of my extremely expensive glasses on the floor and then I stepped on them. Now that I know this can happen, I will protect mine from the many kitties here.
