We Cats are in the Doghouse

Rusty I'm introducing the post today.

We had another post planned but one of us kitty's knocked Jan's glasses off the desk during the night and she stepped on them first thing this morning. So we're all in the doghouse because they were very expensive, irreplaceable reading glasses. She special ordered them at the Dollar Tree.

Okay, we're fibbing. She can pick up another pair tomorrow for a dollar. She has other pairs around the house but not one pair is the right strength to use for the computer. They are either too weak or too strong and her eyes are really bothering her. So we're sneaking on here while she's doing laundry.

Every shelter in the nation should do the same as this shelter has done - destroy every vestige of the barbaric gas chamber! Fayette County, Ohio's shelter is under new management, but it took the threat of a lawsuit for changes to be made. You can read the story here. We applaud this shelter for doing the right thing and trying to upgrade its service to the animals as well as to the community.

Don't forget to vote daily for one of the 3 shelters. Every vote helps to decided how much total litter will be divided between them and what % of it each will receive. Bookmark this link and vote.

  1. I agree, that is wonderful...off to vote!

  2. Thank goodness for the Dollar store. Mommy loves that place.

  3. Oh dear--the Woman would be very upset if we allowed her to break her glasses. (they are not for reading but for driving and really ARE very expensive!)

  4. Uh-oh! You kitties should never, ever mess with the blog mom's glasses or else we might lose touch with all of you furever! Lucky for you that your mom can buy a new pair at a cheap price!

  5. What a great idea.. We love it..

  6. Awww you kitties are innocent!!

Me and Charlie hope Jan gets new glasses for her computer work - it's important! :-)

Thanks for the link to the shelter story. I'm so glad these gas chambers were demolished!! Yay for the doggies!!!!

    We've voted! Take care

  7. Whoops for the glasses! We're glad they *weren't* prescription reading glasses!

Thanks for the reminder to vote; our mom keeps forgetting. She doesn't have enough brain cells to manage everything she's supposed to!

  8. If I had a doghouse how I would love to have some khats in it -

  9. Thats cool that ya found eyeglasses ta whap off the table. The Big Thing hides his very well. All we can ever find are pens and noospaper clippings...

  10. Today I broke my photographer's camera with my Extreme Handsomeness. So don't feel bad about the glasses!

  11. Pellie says I'm a Klutz - cuz I knock a lot of things over and off counters and stuff. So I hope you don't have to stay in the dog house long.

  12. I know all of you and I know beyond a doubt that this was just an accident. You must have been playing a little too hard and the glasses got in the way. I am wondering how she could find you to put you in the doggie house if she couldn't see. How was it in the doggie house? Did the doggie's mind that they had company for the day??? Glad she can replace them without too much $$$$.

  13. I hope Jan gets another pair tomorrow!
    Take care
    Kisses and hugs

  14. Firstly thank you for your lovely message of support on our sad loss of Ellie.

Glad Jan has more than one pair of glasses..we are sure nobody will be in the dog house for long.

Thats great news about the pound.

  15. Erm ... we haff a suggestion! We fink Jan shud get sum specs to wear for seeing where her computer specs are, so she doesn't tread on 'em!!!! MOL!

  16. My secretary has readers to magnify to 150. She just got them recently and is amazed at how much better computer work and fine print is!

  17. Oh my gosh. I have those SAME glasses. I got absolutely cracked up about the irreplaceability of the Dollar Tree glasses. I have pairs lying all over the house (since I can't read anything any more without them.) I can't imagine the fury I would feel if one of my kitties knocked a pair of my extremely expensive glasses on the floor and then I stepped on them. Now that I know this can happen, I will protect mine from the many kitties here.

Thanks for coming by. We love to hear from you.
