Moki has asked for more information on the DogPause bowls, so we thought we would make a separate post to explain it.
This is Merci with her empty bowl.
The idea is to stop a dog - we'll use Buddy for our example here - from scooping food by the mouthful. If you notice, the bowl is more oval than round and divided into half cup sections. The sides are curved and narrow toward the bottom. In order to eat, Buddy has to utilize his tongue. Merci has a narrow nose, Buddy's is wider and Samaritan has a broad nose, yet the bowls are one-size-fits-all. Now, we eat dry food but the concept would be the same for canned food.
In addition, the bowl is designed so if Buddy tries to eat too fast, the bowl moves and he has to reposition himself.
At this time, a bowl for cats is still in the development stage, but you can read more about the dog bowl at www.dogpausebowl.com.
You can read our original post here or yesterday's update here.
We hope this answers your question, Moki. And thanks for asking.
