Sam Dishes Cat News

Hi, I'm Sam. I guess you can tell I'm not a kitty but we appear to have mostly kitty news today. We can work around that. Close your eyes and pretend I'm about half, no an eighth ... just pretend I'm a little guy!  But don't expect me to purr!

Furriends of the CB will be holding an emergency auction for Bugsy and Gracie of the Happy Cat Family. It will begin next Monday, January 24. We'll let Gracie, Head Auctioneer, tell you about it -

Double your bidding and double your fun as we are holding two auctions at the same time. We are having one for Chrystal to help get $$$ for a new cat house, that auction will end on January 30 at 11:59 pm est. We also are holding an emergency auction for Bugsy and Gracie from the Happy Cat Family. Much needed $$$$ are wanting for the big vet bills already in need of payment plus more medical things to happen to get these two back on their paws. Not only is one kittie in need from the Happy Cat Family but two. Please check things out as there are many wonderful items and some pretty jewelry that is purrrfect for that special dress up night out for your mommies.

Since we posted the auction graphic in our sidebar yesterday, the starting date has been moved from the 26th to January 31st. Hope you will plan on going by on Monday to check out the bidding items.

UPDATE:  Sometimes things happen that can't be helped.  And so this auction has been postponed until February 14.  Look for it.  It is coming.

You can always get your daily dose of cat blogging news at the Cat Blogosphere. There is a lot of news today, including that Cats of Wildcat Woods FINALLY got their blog back. Their blog was accidentally shut down as a s..m blog, which it most certainly isn't, but it has been a long process to get it reinstated by Blogger. This calls for a celebrations. Perhaps an extra nap.

Unfortunately, we don't really know where to go for daily dog blogging news. We just pick it up from our Google Reader or while visiting.

We remember when Freya started the blogging kitties around the world map so we can see where other bloggers are from and who's in our area. She has posted sign up directions again and if you missed it in 2009, you might like to check it out now, whether you're a new cat blogger or an "old" one. Stop by A Cat Called Freya and enter your info if you want to participate.

And another reminder that our neighbors Friends of Pike County Animals needs your daily vote to get an adoption and education center in their rural Georgia county. You can vote here. Voting will end January 31.

  3. Yay for Cats of Wildcat Woods getting reinstated! That was so unfair and I can't imagine how stressful it must have been to have their blog removed like that.

  4. I do not know what we would do without the Cat Blogosphere to keep informed on all the goings-on in the cat world!

  11. Hey Farmers,
Bad storm this evening; took dad 4 hours to get home. Dad voted from work and bot PCs at home but #141 seems to be a plateau. We will keep voting and will try to check out the auction.
