Marcus: Hey, Rusty, have you met my new friends?
Rusty: You have friends?
Marcus: Oh, yes, I have a lot of friends.
Merci: He saw these two on his afternoon walk for two days in a row. Then they flew off and he hasn't seen them since.
Marcus: Their names are Minnie and Mo.
Rusty: How do you know their names?
Marcus: They introduced themselves.
Rusty: I doubt that. I think you named them.
Merci: They wandered around the mill for two days with one honking steadily.
Marcus: He wasn't honking. He was inviting me to come play with them.
Rusty: He was inviting you to come play? You speak geese ... goose ... whatever?
Merci: No, he has a hearing problem. The goose was honking for him to go away but Marcus preferred to hear otherwise.
Marcus: You just wait until they return. They'll tell you what they think of me.
Rusty: Oh, I'm sure they will. I'm just not sure it will be what you think you heard.

ReplyDelete...and trust me on this, Marcus, a goose's honk is nowhere near worse than its bite... jus' sayin'... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We have always heard that COMMUNICATION is a Two Way Street... and that it is not EASY to make your TRUE intentions known to others... hehehhehe SO sometimes there CAN be some Confusion... RIGHT???? BUTT, you go ahead and stick to your interpretation of what those GEESE were sayin to you... You could make a SIGN that says ...
ReplyDeleteHONK if you want to be MY FUREND... That should clear thingys up.

Oh, Marcus, you are always looking for a true friend. Well, at least you know that you always have me, Loulou, to understand you when the rest are doubting your geese gumption!
ReplyDeleteYears ago, we had some geese - Hissifer the gander chased the neighbor's 3 German Shepards home & terrified them so badly that they never returned.
ReplyDeleteI hope they come back to see you again. Did they at least say good-bye?
ReplyDeleteMarcus you always have such fun adventures!
ReplyDeleteGeese are MEAN - you guys keep away from them!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a multilingual dog, Marcus, just like us ! Amazing ! Be careful with these geese though. Purrs

Maybe you should think about your interest in geese. They are best admired from a distance BOL!

Mom Paula was driving down a four lane highway last week and two geese with some babies were crossing the road. She stopped in the middle of the road and was blowing her horn to warn cars coming.
ReplyDeleteYes pawlease...stay far distant from gooses (as our unfurbro used to call them...)
ReplyDeleteWe do not want to hear anything about a goose biting off a schnooter or a paw.
