The Aggressive Fridge

Micah:  Hey, it's me, the iron skillet sitter.  We had a post planned for today but it gets written the night before and we had a sudden change of plans.  Jan was cleaning the vegetable bins in the fridge when she was attacked.  Yes, smacked on top of the head by an jealous shelf she didn't clean.  Whacked hard.  At present she is sitting in a chair with a frozen bag of green beans on her head.  Marcus is in the kitchen growling at the fridge.

Cyndi:  Why is he growling at the fridge?  He already had his dinner.

Micah:  He's practicing in case he doesn't get any breakfast tomorrow.

Cyndi:  Leave it to Marcus to think first about his stomach.

Micah:  Well, he's supposed to be Jan's protector and he feels he fell down on the job.

Cyndi:  Yes, but who expects a refrigerator to be aggressive?

Micah:  Obviously, not Jan!

Marcus, I am sure your Mom will get up to feed you when that time arrives...as well as you kitties.

Meanwhile make sure that shelf doesn't whack anyone else.

  4. This is very disturbing that wefwidgerators can unexpectedly attack. Good thing it was yoor meowmy and not one of yoo. Love, Dori

We hope you are feeling better, Miz Jan. Our mom once bent over to retrieve something from the closet floor and the handle of a frying pan smacked her in the eye. She still gets nerve twinges, especially when the weather turns rainy. Purrs, Herman

  6. Your human sure is accident prone lately. My ghostwriter is too. She's always dropping things. She calls it stupid-hand syndrome. Hope your mom feels better soon.

  7. We always heard that it was a good idea to keep a bag of frozen peas in the freezer for injuries, but we thought it was for us pups, not humans. We hope Jan's bruise is doing better.

  14. How awful of the refrigerator! Doesn’t the shelf understand that it will get its own turn? Guess not.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Ms. Jan, and that your cats take good care of you.

  16. Micah, those fridges are sneaky. They need to be watched every minute. They seem to like heads the best. - Tom x

  17. My goodness, I've never heard of a such an aggressive fridge! And for the shelf to be that violent simply because it wasn't cleaned first! I generally begin with the drawers and make my sleeves wait their turn.... Now I'm wondering if my fridge shelves are also harboring hostile feelings!

  21. Sheesh, that sounds like dad sometimes. He's famous for getting hit on the head, especially at work, from everything from cabinet doors to range hoods. He even got hit hard on the nose by a ladder once. That one really scared him. Hope Jan ended up okay.
