The Aggressive Fridge
Micah: Hey, it's me, the iron skillet sitter. We had a post planned for today but it gets written the night before and we had a sudden change of plans. Jan was cleaning the vegetable bins in the fridge when she was attacked. Yes, smacked on top of the head by an jealous shelf she didn't clean. Whacked hard. At present she is sitting in a chair with a frozen bag of green beans on her head. Marcus is in the kitchen growling at the fridge.
Cyndi: Why is he growling at the fridge? He already had his dinner.
Micah: He's practicing in case he doesn't get any breakfast tomorrow.
Cyndi: Leave it to Marcus to think first about his stomach.
Micah: Well, he's supposed to be Jan's protector and he feels he fell down on the job.
Cyndi: Yes, but who expects a refrigerator to be aggressive?
Micah: Obviously, not Jan!

ReplyDeleteMarcus, I am sure your Mom will get up to feed you when that time arrives...as well as you kitties.
Meanwhile make sure that shelf doesn't whack anyone else.
POTP to you,Miss Jan.
I had no idea refrigerators could be mean like that!

This is very disturbing that wefwidgerators can unexpectedly attack. Good thing it was yoor meowmy and not one of yoo. Love, Dori
ReplyDeleteWe hope you are feeling better, Miz Jan. Our mom once bent over to retrieve something from the closet floor and the handle of a frying pan smacked her in the eye. She still gets nerve twinges, especially when the weather turns rainy. Purrs, Herman

Your human sure is accident prone lately. My ghostwriter is too. She's always dropping things. She calls it stupid-hand syndrome. Hope your mom feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteWe always heard that it was a good idea to keep a bag of frozen peas in the freezer for injuries, but we thought it was for us pups, not humans. We hope Jan's bruise is doing better.

Your poor mom is an accident waiting to happen. You need to take better care of her, Micah.
ReplyDeleteLove the skillet sitting. Too cute.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your hurt mom. ♥
LMAO @ Hey, it's me, the iron skillet sitter.
ReplyDeleteYour very talented Micah. I hope your Mum recovers soon LOL
Have a skillettastic weekend :-)
You might have an "ice boxer" instead of a refrigerator. LOL!
ReplyDelete"Generally you don't see that kind of behavior in a major appliance"

*hope you are okay!*
Poor Jan! I think you all need to give that vicious fridge a good talking to.
ReplyDeleteOUCH! Shelf sore is the worst.
ReplyDeletePoor Jan. She gets injured a lot, it is like someone put a curse on her.
ReplyDeleteHow awful of the refrigerator! Doesn’t the shelf understand that it will get its own turn? Guess not.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon, Ms. Jan, and that your cats take good care of you.
Cats be cats. No explanation required.
ReplyDeleteMicah, those fridges are sneaky. They need to be watched every minute. They seem to like heads the best. - Tom x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I've never heard of a such an aggressive fridge! And for the shelf to be that violent simply because it wasn't cleaned first! I generally begin with the drawers and make my sleeves wait their turn.... Now I'm wondering if my fridge shelves are also harboring hostile feelings!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't know that refrigerators could be mean and aggressive ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteOh dear, poor Jan. We hope she didn't hurt herself too bad and the headache is gone soon. No Marcus, we didn't mean you. :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear oh dear...time for a brandy to help dull the pain!
ReplyDeleteSheesh, that sounds like dad sometimes. He's famous for getting hit on the head, especially at work, from everything from cabinet doors to range hoods. He even got hit hard on the nose by a ladder once. That one really scared him. Hope Jan ended up okay.

What the heck? We wouldn't ever expect a fridge to be aggressive, either!
ReplyDeleteI know Mom said she has had experience with them, fridges, turning on her suddenly. You have to watch out for them!
ReplyDeleteSorry this happened. Sounds like somethin' that would happen to mommy. She's not so graceful anymore. MOL Big hugs
