Last night we posted a request for prayers for Beignet, an 11-week old kitten that was having another surgery today. Unfortunately, he passed away during the surgery.. We've heard of pets getting a cancerous lump at a vaccination site, but it never occurred to us it could happen to one so young. Paula had been looking forward to bringing him and Truffle into her home shortly,. You can leave a message for Paula and for Terri, his breeder who also loved him, on Sweet Purrfections.
Ah heck, I am so sorry. It brings a lump in my throat and my eyes hurt a little. Isn't it funny how we can have such loving feelings for the little ones we havn't even met.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know

ReplyDeleteWe just left our condolences for Beignet....a baby gone too soon.
ReplyDeleteWe went over to Mom Paula's blog yesterday to offer our condolences. So, so sad...
ReplyDeleteIt hurt my heart to watch Paula so excited to bring home Beignet and Truffle and then this happened. It seems so unfair.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the saddest things we have seen. Losing Beignet. It just shouldn't have happened. Poor Paula and Terri. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe were just so flabbergasted when we saw this, just so sad, so unexpected. WE felt that he would be better once he got through the surgery, but we never expected to wake up to this news. We are very sad for Paula and Terri. It is so hard to find any meaning in this...so very hard.

Here such a short time only to steal our hearts. I am so sorry to hear of Beignet going to the bridge. My heart is heavy and the tears from the mom flow.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a sad few days. Little Beignet know only the love of all his moms--Chloe, Terri & Mom Paula. His short time here was sweet. We are purraying for all, specially Mom Paula and Truffle as they begin their life together.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about Beignet. It seems like only yesterday that we were grieving Sweet Praline. The poor little guy was just too young to survive a second surgery so soon. I'm still in shock.
ReplyDeleteMom Paula
