Sand Cats and Ribbon Cutting

We never heard of a Sand Cat but we read about a rare kitten born in Tel Aviv on Mousebreath. It's so cute we just had to find a video of one. And we succeeded. We enjoyed this video because it explained a little about the breed. They are wild, not cuddly, but aren't they cute?

If the video doesn't play, click here.

We've had our laugh for the day. Jan read Romeo the cat's email of Friday Rescue Story. He's lost it, was her first thought! It's Thursday. She checked the date on the computer and sure enough it's Friday. So what happened to Thursday?

Well, she's been so engrossed in helping us set up our new blog, she didn't realize Wednesday ended the day before Thursday. (Yeah, that confused us too.) But now she's back on track and, for the moment, awake and aware.

A few hours later, the above is no longer true.  Jan has resized photos so they all show up in our Picasa design file on our computer, "argued" with Blogger about not allowing her to publish ahead and fought with an html widget to get it to accept html. .Okay, she wanted to date a post for 1/2/2012 so it would stay at the top until then, but that used to work..

Still, she managed to help us get our new blog ready for our first post.  We hope you will take a minute to wander over to jansfunnyfarm designs and help us cut the ribbon to open it. We're hoping to have some fun with it.  Jan made the header and background and managed to not do too much damage.

Our first post is on shelter adoption and spay/neuter and we get to tell you the story behind a series of designs.  You were undoubtedly. wondering why she does some of her designs in such a strange ... **hi, Jan** ... in such an interesting way.  We hope some of you might bookmark it, or sign up for emails or a reader and help Jan learn what she's doing wrong ... uh, what she's doing right.  (Jan made us change that.)

Jan is off to forage a late lunch before she falls over from hunger.  We hope it's going to be tuna fish.  We could sure use the protein.  Having to snoopervise Jan requires lots of brain food.
