A Goose in the Closet

Rusty:  What are we writing about today?

Micah:  I don't know.  What do you want to write about?

Rusty:  I have no idea.  Preferably something quiet.

Micah:  I know what you mean.  My ears are still ringing from the almost non-stop coughing and honking that have been going on around here for so long.

Rusty:  Too long.  I'm starting to think Marcus is hiding one of his goose friends in a closet or under the bed.

Micah:  Yes, he's the only one around here that is getting any rest.  He can sleep through anything!

Rusty:  We could keep him awake by making him a recording of Jan honking and hacking and then play it at full volume.

Micah:  Nah, better not.  We'd all have to listen to it.

Rusty:  Not if we lock him outside in the dog pen and play the recording for him.

Micah:  But it would disturb the neighbors and that could become embarrassing.

Rusty:  How so?

Micah: I've heard humans get embarrassed when the police come knocking at the door.

Rusty:  Oh, right.  So what should we do?

Micah:  Do you hear that?

Rusty:  What?  I don't hear anything.

Micah:  Exactly. Either Marcus let the goose out of the closet or Jan is taking a moment to breathe.

Rusty:  Did we ever decide what we're going to post about today?

Micah:  I don't have any suggestions.  Maybe we should just skip posting today and have a nap instead.

  1. Poor Jan! We think you guys are doing a great jog of not posting!

  2. Hari OM
yeah. A snooze is a great idea. Glad you posted about that... hugs and whiskeries (and POTP for Jan), YAM-aunty xxx

  3. But how are you going to nap through all that honking and coughing? Hope Jan feels better soon!

  4. Some buddy better act as a nurse and take care of the goose BOL
    Lily & Edward

  5. We sure hope Jan feels better soon and and quit being the mad honker!

  6. Rusty and Micah, why not go off and sit/lay/headbutt Jan, so she feels loved? It will help her to get better, you know!

  7. OMD Coughing and HONKING like a GOOSE... That is NOT GOOD... We will send Miss Jan some POTP.

Butt aren't you glad that she doesn't have WORMS???

  8. I hope it's just a cold. Have y'all checked her forehead to see if she has fever? Get well soon ❤❤

  9. Poor Jan ! We send her tons of healing purrs ! Purrs

  10. guyz...when jan findz out how manee timez ewe used de B werd two day therz gonna be swell ta pay......headz up ~~

  11. I think you guys could capitalize on Jan's honks by recording them and using them to attract more geese friends for Marcus. Keep him busy, all those geese and OUT of your hair!

  12. Hope Jan recovers soon! At present, I am researching essential oils. Apparently, eucalyptus, lemon, thyme, orange, frankincense, peppermint, lavender and rosemary can help with coughs. Does Jan happen to have any peppermint extract or maybe mint, lemon or orange cooking extracts in her kitchen, which she could put in boiling water for a makeshift steam treatment?

  13. We're sendin' purrayers. We hope da goose gets loose soon. Big hugs

    Luv ya'

    Dezi and Raena

  15. We sure hope the goose, er Jan, has stopped honky. Poor kitties, we bet you haven't had your 24-48 daily naps. (Mom bean says that she's sorry for Jan, as she guesses Jan isn't getting mch rest either).

  16. Happy Purrday Rusty. We are sending healing purrs to Jan so you can enjoy a peaceful day without honking.

  17. We're sending prayers that Jan starts feeling better. It's horrible to honk, cough and sneeze nonstop!

  18. So THAT's what all the noise is coming out of ghostwriter lately! She went to the doctor yesterday and was told she has something called honk-itis (I think...)

  19. This honking is catching on allover the place...we need to go out to our shed and find the ear muffs to help quiet down the environment.
So far petcretary is largely unscathed...she got a sniffle and a fever for about 2 days...but unfurbro got it,and so do lots of peeps at her workplace.

Thanks for coming by for a visit. We love to hear from you.
