Tavi and Rowan

We are sad because Tavi needed to be helped to the bridge today. He had a good long life but it's hard for a family to say good-bye. You might want to stop by Camie's Kitties if you haven't already.

We had a post with a video all set to go but Jan wanted to use the computer for just a second and poof! So we're starting over.

Fortunately, we found another video for you. Rowan the wonder dog was born without eyes and has learned to get around by echolocation. He barks and listens to the echos to know where he is in relation to nearby objects. And so he can get around and play as just one of the dogs.

  1. Thank you Jan for the info about Tavi - me and Charlie went over to leave our purrs and hugs to his family.

Oh Rowan!! What a cutie - awww what a great doggie!! We love how his mum says that as far as Rowan is concerned there is no night and day, just playtime!! LOL! Yay!!

    Take care

  2. Dogs are amazing - if only humans had 10% of their peaceful acceptance of things and just living in the moment and getting on with life, instead of always comparing and competing!

  9. We were so sad to hear about Tavi. "Long" is never long enough... It made us think about Skeeter, too. Tavi's last days were so much like Skeeter's. That made it very hard to read about.

  10. Go Rowan, good doggy. Reminded mom of Homer the blind black cat in the book she read, Homer's Odyssey. You really can't call them handicapped animals as they go right on doing their job of living.
