Clouds and Debris

MERCI:  The clouds were beautiful on our walk Wednesday morning.

SAM:  They were so white and fluffy and the sky was such a lovely shade of blue.

BUDDY:  A stark contrast to the destruction at the mill.  It's sad to see the old landmark being torn down.

MARCUS:  It is?  But look at those rock piles to play in!  And all that debris to dig through!  You could let me loose in there and you might not hear from me for weeks!

SAM:  Seriously?  Not for weeks?  Jan, can we let Marcus play at the mill?

MARCUS:  Of course, I'd have to come home for meals.

MERCI:  And baths.  You'd need a bath every time you came home.

MARCUS:  A bath?  Why would I need a bath to eat?

BUDDY:  House rule.  A dirty, smelly dog is not allowed to eat out of Jan's crystal dishes.

MARCUS:  Oh, I'm disappointed. I guess I'd better not go play at the mill.

SAM:  That's too bad.  I was looking forward to peace and quiet for a while.

BUDDY:  *elbows Merci in the shoulder*  I guess Marcus forgot we don't eat out of crystal dishes.

MERCI:  That's right.  Our bowls are stainless steel.

  15. Our Opa and Oma lived across from a factory where they made dixie cups, and they had a huge one as the water tower for their needs...it was the town's landmark...but sadly that is gone too...

Enjoy your fare off of those crystal dishes!!
