We are sorry to have to say good-bye to our old friend Opus from Cat Naps in Italy. We were aware he was having ups and downs and his family was taking things one day at a time - even half a day at a time - but it was still a shock to receive the news Friday.
Opus had 16 good years with his family and was greatly loved. He is now greatly missed. We send lots of hugs, purrs and woofs to his human mom and to his Aunt Gracie kitty and her humans.
Because of the loss of his good friend Opus, Ruis' birthday party has been postponed.
Opus was a member of the recently formed Tabby Cat Club. Percy and Rusty are sad to lose a brother tabby. Socks is hosting a Sleeping Tabbies Saturday at the club today and Gracie has requested members participate, even though she will not be able to attend.
This seems to be another low point around the CB with long-time bloggers Parker, Dr. Tweety, Ginger Jasper, and Daisy Mae Maus having serious health problems. If we left anyone out, we apologize.
We're beat, so we're going to set this to auto post and hit the sack.
Kc of Gentleannie2 here.
ReplyDeleteJust saying we of KC's Gentleannie are so sorry to hear of the passing of Opus, our prayers go out to all who knew Opus- may the love of this sweetheart always live in Golden memories in your hearts.

It's purrty difficult to fink about parties or even specshul posts right now. Opus was a huge part of the Cat Blogosphere and we will miss him so much. And earlier this week we lost a purrsonal furriend, Seaborne, of The Taylor Cats.
ReplyDeleteAnd you putted it furry well, it is a low point with our great furriends that are seriously ill.
All of ours hearts are too heavy these days.
Love & Purrs,

ReplyDeleteWe are quite sad--and quite distressed about so many of our long time friends being seriously ill.
ReplyDeleteWe're having to give Mom Paula extra hugs and purrs this week because of all of the kitties that are leaving for the Bridge or not feeling well.

This seems like a bad year for Blogville....so many of our good furends have either left us or are sick.
ReplyDeletePrayers and good vibes to all.
Thank you for the beautiful to Opus, my nephew. My heart is breaking and I miss him so much. I know that he was ready to go see his brother and now is free of the limitations that life puts on you when you get the years adding up. Some day we will be together again but until then the hole in my heart will remain. Thank you for your prayers, kind words, and best of all your friendship.
ReplyDeleteI also know that this has been a hard time with so many ill or leaving for the bridge. I keep all of those in my thoughts and purrs.
Run free, Opus. Wishing good health to all the other kitties and doggies who need it.
ReplyDeleteI will treasure all the beautiful memories i have from my dearest bestest friend Opus. Knowing he's running free with his brother Roscoe now and many other family and furriends ease the pain somewhat.
ReplyDeleteHe will be forever in our hearts, until we meet again...
