Humans are Strange

Do any of you furries understand your human? We find ours a bit strange.

For example, when we kitties see a bug, we go, Whoopee! When Jan sees a bug, she screams, Out of the way, and swats it. Where's the fun in that?

And just let one of us get really comfortable and fall asleep in her lap and she will suddenly jump up and take off for some silly reason. Come on, how many times does she think we're going to fall for, I smell something burning on the stove? Okay, granted she is forgetful and there often is something burning in the kitchen .... We're grateful she doesn't cook our food. But to dump any one or more of us when we're sleeping should at least get her cited and fined for kitty littering.

Oh, and ever since Jan hurt her toe and hasn't had to walk with us dogs first thing in the morning, she forgets to feed us. Sometimes we lie at death's door until one or two in the afternoon before she realizes the loud rumbles she is hearing are not an approaching thunderstorm but Buddy's tummy. How does one forget to feed three good-looking, well-behaved woofies?

We need to learn to be more assertive, more like Simon's Cat in "TV Dinner.". Do you think if we gang up on her, she'll notice us? Or should we turn a burner on in the kitchen instead?

  6. We hope your toesies will be better soon! And yup, we think our momma and daddy are both very strange. We can't figure them out a lot of the time. But they make wonderful laps for naps!

Guess what -- we Ballicai are back! Momma gave us a brand new blog. Check us out at:

Hugs and purrs from Brainball, MaoMao, Dorydoo, and Marilyn MonREOW.

  7. If not for the meows... my mom could think she was watching us in that video!
    Kisses and hugs

  8. Great post. What a funny way to end the day!

  9. I don't think we'll ever figure out the weird humans and they're inexplicable behaviour. We just have to be patient with them and hope they at least get our minimal needs taken care of, like food on demand (hmmmm...I think you DO need to be more assertive about that. Maybe holler at the dish? Works for us!), snuggles on demand, laps on demand, walks on demand, and unwavering attention to our slightest know, just the basics.

  10. And to think they claim to be the intelligent species. Sheesh.

    And we love Simon's Cat.

  11. We think Mom is strange but we love her!!...We liked the Simon video very much...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  12. Humans are weird, but we've learned to live with it.
