Here we are, late as ever. Jan is rushing us off the computer so she can tackle the mess she made last week. Yes, she made the mess. We're innocent and we're going to go hide while she hangs our Halloween sheets in the windows under blankets and drapes and tries to "winterproof" this drafty old house. Why are we going to hide? She's very grumpy when she does this. And if she falls off the stepstool, we fear she'll say something we aren't supposed to repeat.

And don't forget Carrol Crocker's dogs. There are 30 still in dire need of a home before Rainsville, AL seizes and kills them.
