Triple Blur Candy Cane
Marcus: I don't know why Jan was complaining I act like a whirlwind. Obviously I was being such a calm boy.
Micah: Oh, excuse me. I didn't mean to snort, but that took me by surprise.
Marcus: The picture was taken after three weeks of being cooped up with no exercise while Jan had the flu. That proves I'm a calm boy.
Micah: Then what does this picture prove?
Marcus: That Jan is a bad photographer?
Micah: This picture proves you wrong. It was taken about ten seconds before the other one. She offered you a stuffed candy cane. You ripped it out of her hand and shook it so violently it's in the picture twice! Or is that three times?
Marcus: Wow, I am good! I bet you've never seen a triple blur candy cane before.
Micah: I doubt anyone has. You then rushed around into your crate to guard it from the rest of us.
Marcus: Yes, I have to guard everything around here or one of you would steal it.
Micah; But we didn't want it!
Marcus: You could have told me that then.
Micah: You didn't ask.
Percy: This week we Funny Farmer Felines interview Marv from the Marvelous is Marvelous blog. Doesn't he have a sweet smile?

Trusty Old Blue Ball
Micah: You look pretty intense there, Marcus. Is the ball threatening you?
Marcus: No, it wouldn't dare threaten me. Can't take my eyes off it for a second, though.
Micah: Why, would it run away if you do?
Marcus: I was waiting for Jan to try to kick it. She's sneaky, but I'm faster than she is sneaky.
Micah: Oh, so you were playing soccer?
Marcus: No. She picked it up and threw it so we played chase.
Micah: You don't play catch?
Marcus: Rarely. Jan usually throws it past me so it's hard to catch. But I am good at catching if she bounces it.
Micah: I'm all for anything that exercises you and tires you out so you leave the rest of us alone for a few minutes.
Marcus: Jan might have returned my red ball to Amazon (Sending Red Ball on Vacation) but I still have my trusty old blue ball with the tooth holes in it. Oh, and by the way, the rope toy Jan accidentally threw into the tree a few months ago finally fell down into the pen. So if this ball should happen to fall apart for no reason, I'll still have something to chase.
Micah: So your new blue ball is now your trusty old blue ball. Interesting. But you do know, I hope, if this ball should happen to fall apart, it will certainly NOT be for no reason!
Marcus: You're right. If this ball falls apart, it will be Jan's fault. She's awfully hard on my toys!
Percy: Our interview this week is with Sophie, Dexter and Olive. You can read Three Chatty Cats Chat on Mousebreath.

Squeaker Speech for Dummies
Marcus: Jan took my red rubber ball and hid it. (Red Rubber Ball) She had better not take my dinosaur away too. As you can see, I'm watching Jan!
Rusty: It won't do you any good. You destroyed that dinosaur not long after that picture was taken.
Marcus: I did? Are you sure?
Rusty: You chewed a hole and tore out the stuffing to get to the squeaker. Of course, I'm sure!
Marcus: No wonder I haven't been able to find it lately. Maybe Jan will buy me a new one.
Rusty: I don't think so. She mentioned just yesterday how nice and quiet it has been around here since the dinosaur was dissected. You need to learn to take care of your toys before you run out of them permanently.
Marcus: Oh, that will never happen.
Rusty: You'll never learn to take care of them or you'll never run out of them?
Marcus: Both. My mission in life is to de-squeak and destroy.all toys in memory of Buddy, the best de-squeaker and toy destroyer ever - until me! I just know I'm making him proud.
Rusty: I remember Buddy in his prime. He used to squeak the toy, then he would stop and talk to it. I never did figure out what they were saying but they evidently spoke the same language.
Marcus. Don't worry. You can learn the language when I finish the book Buddy was working on, Squeaker Speech for Dummies.
Rusty: I think you should rename it Squeaker Speech by Dummies.
Marcus: What did you mumble?
Rusty: Oh, just that I can't wait to read the dummies book.
We did a post when Buddy passed on Sept. 28th. (Farewell Buddy) This lovely graphic was sent to us by Meezers Mews & Terrieristical Woofs. We intended to post it; however, we were upset about Buddy and other things happening at that time, so it was a good while before we posted again, so we forgot about it until yesterday.
Thank you so much to MM&TW (Pipo, Dalton & Mr. Jack Freckles). You are so kind to do this for bloggers who lose a furry, and your memorial graphics are greatly appreciated.
We are joining the Pet Parade hosted by Rascal and Rocco, Basil the Bionic Cat and Barking from the Bayou. At least we hope we are. Last week we included this and our computer disconnected our internet before we could and we never did get to join.

Red Rubber Ball
Micah: I think we should decide what we're thankful for this week. Whose turn is it?
Marcus: It's mine!
Micah: Again? What is it this time?
Marcus: Last month I got a new red rubber ball. I was having such fun with it and suddenly Jan took it away and hid it.
Micah: She must have had a reason. What did you do to it?
Marcus: Nothing! I just carried it around. Bounced it a few times around the house. Played fetch with Jan in the dog pen. It was a good, hard rubber ball. I really liked it.
Micah: I seem to remember something about you trying to eat the ball. Did that have anything to do with why Jan hid it?
Marcus: No. I eat everything. What's a little rubber in my tummy?
Micah: A potential vet bill

Playing Fetch
Marcus: Remember my new basketball, the one I deflated within two minutes of receiving it? (A Basketball for Marcus)
Taylor: Yes.
Marcus: Well, don't ever let anyone try to tell you everything has to be brand new to be fun. Old toys are just as exciting.
Taylor: Old? The basketball is only a week and a half old.
Marcus: Age is relative. For example, this old basketball has plenty of life left in it. Look at how much fun I'm having playing fetch with Jan.
Taylor: Yes, I've seen you two through the window. She tries to pick it up with the end of one finger because it's covered in muddy saliva.
Marcus: But look at what a great toy it is. Not only can I fetch it and catch it, I can practice my hunting skills on it too.
Taylor: It must be nice to have a toy that's so versatile.
Marcus: Yes, I love my old basketball. It's a bit ratty but it's easy to catch.
Taylor: A bit ratty? Have you noticed there isn't much left of it?
Marcus: No problem. Jan will buy me a new one when this one disintegrates.
Taylor: Somehow I doubt that. But if it makes you happy, dream on.
Marcus: Thanks. I always say we should be thankful for what we have.
Taylor: No, you don't. Jan says we should be thankful for what we have. She also says you should be thankful for all the toys you've had that you've destroyed.
Marcus: Hey, I never destroyed a toy in my life. Well, except for the bear with no eyes and no squeaker. And the beach ball I punctured in less than a second. Oh, and maybe the ...

Squeaking and Squealing
BUDDY: What's that you have, Marcus?
SAM: Is it edible?
MARCUS: No, it's my new Kong Holiday Jumbler Football. It comes in red or green. Guess which color I was sent?
BUDDY: I never heard of it. What does it do?
MARCUS: It's a football chew toy. It's supposed to stand up to tough play.
SAM: You are definitely the one to test it for toughness.
MARCUS: There's a tennis ball inside with a squeaker. I can play football with Jan and drive her crazy at the same time.
MERCI: You don't need a special toy to drive Jan crazy. You do it all the time screeching at the top of your lungs while playing with your old "soccer" ball.
SAM: Hey, that sounds like fun. Why don't you give us old timers a demonstration?
MARCUS: Okay. I chew on it to make it squeak and then Jan can pick it up by one of its two handles and throw it. Sometimes she kicks it.
BUDDY: And then you run like a loony character with it in your mouth. Is that it?
MARCUS: Yes, essentially.
MERCI: Look at the little piggy. He wants to play with his old soccer ball ...
SAM: And his new football at the same time.
MARCUS: *squeak, squeak* See, it talks to me.
MERCI: What does it say?
MARCUS: I don't know yet. I think it's in Morse Code. Maybe I can train it to yell at the soccer ball for me since Jan thinks I'm too noisy.
SAM: You think? You do know one of the neighbors recently asked which one of us makes all the noise? She was afraid someone was harassing one of us. Little did she know it's the other way around.
MARCUS: Go ahead and make fun of me. You're just jealous because you don't have my energy ... or my Kong Holiday Jumbler Football.
BUDDY: You sure have been having fun with both balls recently. Between the squealing and the squeaking, we all need ear plugs.
We received a Kong Jumbler from Chewy.com for this review. We were not paid, nor influenced in what to write.
