Teamwork

Hey, Cameron here. I have a great example of animal teamwork to show you today. Human kids aren't the only species that get themselves into dangerous situations and need to be rescued. In this instance a group of female elephants save a baby elephant from drowning.

Some of you know Sheldon the Cat. We don't know whether you're aware his family - Sheldon, Pika the kitty, and humans Cathy and Robert - started a new blog called Cuddle Like Crazy. Stop by and visit.

  8. Elephant behavior is very complex, but I guess all animal behavior (including human) is. We remember the story from NatGeo about elephant rage. It will always stick with us.

  18. Trunks really don't look like the right tools for that job but I'm so glad that they all worked together and figured out how to get the baby out of the water.

It reminds me of one time when we had two littermates, young Labs of about 1 year old. One had trouble clambering out of a pond due to steep and slippery banks. Faster than we could react, the brother who was on the shore grabbed his littermate by the collar and yanked him out of the water. It was amazing to see...
