Rusty:  Pssst, I have some exciting news for you today.  We're not here.

Buddy:  What do you mean we're not here?  Of course we're here  Where else would we be?

Rusty:  Introducing ourselves in a guest post over at "We're All About the Cats".

Buddy:  But we're not all about the cats.  Merci, Marcus and I are dogs.

Rusty:  That's okay.  Yesterday they posted the introduction we wrote --- Meet Jan's Funny Farm - A Place Where Farm Animals Chat. 

Buddy:  Oh, so that's why Jan put this psychedelic portrait together.  I didn't realize we were doing a guest post. I thought we were writing a book.  I guess I had better go see what we said.

Rusty:  Our friends are invited over to We're All About the Cats to "meet" us and see what we said too.

Chasing Your Tail

Cyndi:  What is cuter than a litter of kittens?

Merci:  Two litters of kittens running, leaping, and having fun.

Sam:  Yes, double the cute factor.  Well, as long as they're not running, leaping and having fun here.

Micah:  Sam, you're becoming an old grump.

Cameron:  Sam does have a point.  Micah's still fairly young, but most of us are seniors now.

Rusty:  Yes, older, creakier and more inclined to nap more frequently.

Marcus:  Well, since you all need a nap, I guess I'll introduce today's Sunday Smile.  These kittens will wake you up and get you chasing your tail.  Oh, sorry, humans, you won't be able to participate, but you can watch.

Percy:  Molly the Wally does a Share it Sunday post on a different blog each week as a way of giving back.

Buddy:  We're not guest bloggers, so we didn't write a new post for our appearance, but this Sunday we're featured.  Stop by Molly the Wally's and say hello.  



Sam:  Are you using the new Facebook messenger app on your phone?  Nick Russo (@Kingnickrusso on Twitter) has posted a short article on why he deleted the app because of strong  privacy concerns - Facebook crosses the line with new facebook messenger app.

Cyndi:  Oh, really?  We thought they crossed the line years ago!

Rusty:  Nick Russo followed it up with Response to my facebook privacy concerns.  He shares a response he received to the first article.  This is not an official statement by fb.  It is reality shared by a fb employee.

Micah:  You humans are giving up more of your privacy every day and even handing over private information of your friends and contacts to every website that wants to find all your friends on the same service.

Buddy: "Find your friends" is a polite way of saying, "we want a copy of all your friends and family's personal information so we can spam them to join our site and (possibly) to sell the email addresses.

Percy:  Jan has turned off everything she can in her fb account because she wants as little of her personal information as possible to be handed over to apps.

Merci:  Can someone please explain to us why every app you use on fb would need to collect personal information on you AND all your friends?  Doesn't that seem odd, suspicious, malicious - whatever word you want to use?  If we dogs want to learn about another dog, we just sniff their butt. And we don't niff and tell.  So whatever we' sniffed out about another dog stays with us.  

Cameron:  That's not to say dogs don't sit around on occasion and have a butt-sniffing discovery discussion.  I've heard these dogs having a good gossip session.  It just doesn't go outside the family. But the way things are going, one day soon we'll be able to go online and view all our human friends' personal information, maybe even view their naked airport scans.

Marcus:  Hmmm, I wonder.  If we could find a way to wrap privacy in aluminum foil so no one else could see it, we could make a fortune. Who's with me on this?  Uh ... guys, where are you all going? This really is a good idea.
 

Beaglebratz and Funny Farmers

Buddy:  Yikes, our post did not auto publish this morning.  It reverted to draft instead.  But never fear, we are finally here.

Marcus:  Hey, Buddy, you made a joke. Or is that a rhyme?

Percy:  Well, we are really off to a late start today.  First, this didn't auto publish.  And now the Sundays at the Shelter blog has reminded us that I am guarding Marcus in the v-e-t carrier on the Cat Blogosphere calendar today.  Two handsome mancat calendar models.

Cyndi:  Oh, no, we really are getting just like Jan.  We forget to read the calendar too.  But now for our regularly scheduled post.

Sam:  Oh, and be sure to come back next Friday.  There is something special planned for the Pet Parade.


Merci:  What's wrong, Cameron?  You look down in the dumps.

Cameron:  We kitties are a bit disappointed because we weren't able to coordinate a Mousebreath interview for today.

Sam:  Don't worry about it.  I'm sure you'll have one for next week.  Meanwhile, we have other news of interest today.

Rusty:  Oh, that's right.  Come on, guys, chin up, let's do the happy dance together.

Marcus:  I don't mind doing the happy dance, but would one of you like to tell me why we're dancing?

Buddy:  Guess it slipped your mind, but today we're the guest bloggers on the Team Beaglebratz blog.  Don't you remember writing our post last week?

Marcus:  Oh, yeah, now I remember.  We did a pretty good job on it, didn't we!

Cyndi:  It's not polite to brag, Marcus, but I think we did a decent job of it.

Micah:  Just as soon as we got the go-ahead, we put our heads together and wrote the post so we wouldn't be like Jan.  You know how she never remembers anything because she forgets to read the calendar.

Percy:   We are tickled pink - wrong expression, I'm not into pink.  I know!  We're pleased as catnip punch to be doing a guest post for Shiloh 'n Shasta.  So drop by Team Beaglebratz and check us out.

A Coyote and Marcus Writes

Cameron:  You probably didn't notice but we've been among the missing for a few days. 

Cyndi: Jan had a rough few days and we've had to keep an eye on her, but we think we're back. 

Buddy:  Sam and I had an interesting encounter when we walked Jan mid-morning Friday. We saw our first ever live, up close and personal coyote. 

Sam:  It was standing very still hoping we wouldn't notice it and we were rushing so we were all the way down the hill before we did. When we walked over to the fence for a better view, it was still as a statue about 4 or 5 yards away from us. 

Buddy:  It was weird.  We all just stood and stared at each other.  Then the coyote turned slowly and loped away up the hill.  It was beautiful with the sun shining on its coat. 

Sam:  I know, you're probably thinking, so what, I've seen lots of wild animals when I've hiked the trails.  But this coyote was not in the woods or in the rural county.  We know there are coyotes in the county.  He was on our daily walking route - in the city!

Merci:  Jan said if there is a coyote living at the mill or in the vicinity, that could explain why we haven't seen any feral cats on our walks this year.  We used to see oodles of ferals along that stretch of woods across from the mill and we'd watch the kittens grow up.  But this year, no cats   Or it could be the coyote was just passing through. 

Percy:  On another subject, Marcus has some exciting news.  I'll let him tell you.

Marcus:  Thanks, Percy.  I finished my first solo review and it published yesterday.

Rusty:  Now, I know you're all about to say, but you (meaning we ... us .. oh, you know who we are)  didn't publish a post yesterday.

Micah:  And you're correct.  We didn't post yesterday.  But Marcus did.

Marcus:  Yes, I taste tested the new Canidae grain free puppy food and then told Canidae what I thought of it for their blog.  Many of you know Julia Williams from Purr Therapy.  She writes for the Canidae blog.  You can read New Canidae Grain Free Puppy Food Passes Taste Test by Marcus Price, Canine Guest Blogger on the Responsible Pet Ownership blog.  Let me know how you like my humor.  I'm thinking of becoming a humor writer.  (Jan says no one would take me seriously because of my big ears.)

Oh, and just for the record, Canidae provided the kibble, but I wasn't paid.
