Won Word Wednesday 3
Rusty: Lonely.
(For those of you who like to identify birds, here's a closer view.)
Buddy: You look like you swallowed that bird, Rusty.
Rusty:
Buddy: I said you look like you swallowed that bird, Rusty.
Rusty:
Buddy: I said you look like ... Oh, wait, I remember. You can't say anything or you lose your One Word Wednesday post, right, Rusty?
Rusty: Right! Nooooooooooooooooooo!
Buddy: I'm sorry, Rusty. You almost succeeded and won with "won" word this week.
Note: We are under severe weather alerts for today and might be offline all day or most of it. We know many of you are in the path of the same storm. We pray you will be safe!

Won Word Wednesday 2
FRIENDS!
Rusty: I did it! I did it! I won!
Marcus: What did you win?
Rusty: I just wrote a one word post. Last week you all laughed at me because I went over the word limit. (Won Word Wednesday)
Marcus: I hate to burst your bubble but you've gone over the limit on this post too.
Rusty: No, I haven't. I just said "friends".
Marcus: And then you started doing a victory dance while singing your victory song, and now we're having a conversation.
Rusty: But ... but ...
Marcus: All words count. You're over the quota.
Rusty: Where's the delete button? I can delete this.
Marcus: Our delete button is broken, remember?
Rusty: Since it doesn't matter any more, I'm going to change my original post to two words.
Marcus: Two words?
Rusty: Yes. EX - friends!

Angel Pip Magnets
SAM: Last month we won fourth place in the 500th post drawing at Angel Pip's and Ruby's. We won two magnets from their Zazzle store.
RUSTY: They arrived at the end of January but a few days later Jan almost knocked herself out flying in an enclosed space.
CYNDI: The flying was okay. It was the landing that was the problem. We've been kept busy waiting on her ever since.
MICAH: And we do mean waiting. She is slow as molasses so very little has been getting done around here.
"Nice dogs don't always finish first (or second or third), but they do finish eventually."
SAM: This is the magnet for us dogs. We're sharing it with the cats, but it's really our magnet.
"The show must go on ... even when you forget your lines and can't find the stage."
MERCI: We'll give you one guess who this one is for! Yes, you guessed correctly. It's for Jan. She is getting more forgetful. We love the magnets. Jan is going to put hers on the metal desk. We want ours on the fridge. Thank you, Angel Pip and Ruby, for the lovely magnets.
BUDDY: Ann from Zoolatry sent Jan this Valentine card showing the bump on her head but her two black eyes are covered. Our internet provider had an outage Saturday and this is our first chance to post this. It made Jan smile.
PERCY: Friday's episode with Marcus and Merci yanking her about to get at the aggressive dog that was coming after them has really aggravated the pain in her face, neck and legs. She can barely bend her knee to step into the shower again.
CAMERON: That made 3 aggressive dog encounters in one week. One direct attack and two close calls. We all seem to have lost our sense of humor during these last two weeks. Do you think Walmart might have some on sale soon?

Who Are The We?
PERCY: Hey, what's this strange looking tree doing in my home? I didn't give permission for it to move in.
RUSTY: It's not a tree, Percy, and it didn't d need your permission. Jan brought it in and you know how she thinks she owns this place!
MERCI: Jan said it's a new scratching post. It's supposed to replace two similar ones you cats destroyed a few months ago.
MARCUS: I'm relived Jan specified you cats. I would hate to take the blame for destroying something I never even touched, except by accident.
BUDDY:: A very kind blogger gifted us with some money in Jan's Paypal account and Jan said this is what we need, so this is what we will get. Canines don't use a scratching post, so who are the "we" who need it?
CYNDI: Next Percy checked out the sweat jacket hanging on the doorknob. Jan spends months dressing in layers - even in the house - because she is always cold, so we won a good sweatshirt for her in Savannah's Fix Our Ferals Sweatshirt Giveaway. That should help keep her warm.
MICAH: We hope Savannah's mom has been waited on hand and paw as she recuperates from a total knee replacement earlier this month. It must have been tough for her to have patience during the holiday season when humans want to run from store to store to spend money on gifts. Unless she was a cyber shopper.
SAM: We're a bit late in posting on this too, but in October we won a Whiskerslist desk calendar for Jan. With Jan's history, we have little -- okay, no faith that Jan will remember to read important dates on any calendar, not even this one.
CAMERON: But we will sure enjoy reading the daily kitty classifieds on it. We won the calendar from Summer at Sparkle's blog.
BUDDY: Hey, it just occurred to me we've been gypped! The cats received a big box of goodies. They have a new scratching post. What did we dogs get for Christmas?
PERCY: Uh .... oh, you all had a Christmas present. Back in October, Jan bought you each a new bed. It was already too cold to save them for presents, so you had Christmas early.
SAM: I don't remember Jan saying anything about them being Christmas presents, just that we had better take good care of them. We're going to have to have a talk with Jan.

Fur Everywhere
Rusty: Okay, everyone move out of our way. We're working hard to try to catch up.
Marcus: What are we trying to catch up to? I hope it's not a train. I'm not sure we could catch it.
Merci: No, not a train. Or a bus. Or anything tangible. We're trying to catch up to ourselves.
Sam: How do we do that. I hope we don't have to chase our tails. I get dizzy chasing my tail.
Micah: No, we don't have to chase our tails. We just have to work harder and try to accomplish more in the little computer time Jan allots us each day.
Cyndi: But catching up is not all drudgery. We had some good news earlier this month.
Percy: We won Milita's birthday giveaway over at Fur Everywhere. We got a lovely card, some cat treats and Dorothy and Gabrielle, two neat little blue kitties.
Buddy: The little card attached to each reads: You have adopted a Lavender Cat. This little handmade cat contains dried lavender blossoms grown in the Pacific Northwest. He or she (ours are both girls:) would love to sit on your desk, dresser or windowsill, softly scenting your world and making you smile. 100% of the cost of this cat helps provide care for cats at the Cat Care Society Shelter.
Cameron: Thank you, Carmine, Melita, Jewel and your mom. We love your giveaway package. We'd post some photos of us kitties enjoying the treats but Jan's camera button finger seems to be broken. Not really broken. Just not being used much for taking photos. This must change!
