Carrol's Dogs

We hoped we were done with Carrol's dogs, as they got down to the final 7 needing homes -- all shy black & white dogs, the hardest to place -- and things stayed quiet. But we have just received an urgent email message. Jan needs the computer which only gives us a few minutes, so we're just going to post the email with links. Someone please rescue these dogs. The big publicity hounds at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary bragged about how they were helping by letting the locals take care of it, but as far as we are aware, all they did was to reap publicity. Forgotten Paws has done the work and they, along with all those that helped them, deserve the credit for rescuing most of those 100 dogs.

You can view the dogs at Green Acres. This link will be updated periodically if anything changes. Please bookmark it so you can refer back to it.

Can anyone foster or rescue any of these dogs?

Carol Crocker - Rainsville, Alabama

The neighbors are at it again. They have recognized that Carol has not gotten down to the court stated 3 dogs and now the dogs are back in danger.

We have 7 dogs left at Carol Crockers in Rainsville, Alabama. All of these dogs are special needs. 2 are older, the others are shy. Please take a moment to look at the remaining dogs and also to watch the video of them and of their sister Sissy in her new home so you can see the great potential behind these babies.

I know each of these dogs very well as I have spent tons of time with them. Please feel free to ask me questions.

  1. Mom's making that sad face...

    And I'm khrossing my paws...

  2. Thanks to everyone at Forgotten Paws. Hopefully, things will turn out okay.

  3. Oh, we are so sorry to hear that Carrol's neighbors are making trouble again. All we will be able to do is help get the word out. Paws crossed someone can take them. ~Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris

  4. We are purring real hard!
We so wish this world would be a better place.... We know our staff would take in HUNDREDS of cats in need if they could.
Frankly - I am glad they can't! I don't think I would have ANY privacy at all anymore with hundreds more cats. The four I have to deal with is quiet enough.....

  5. I wish we could be of help but we will at least purr.

  6. I am so sad that the neighbors are making trouble again. What's wrong with those people that they can't share a little space with some dogs in need? I wish I could do more, but I can't do anything that hope and pray that everything works out all right.

  7. Ohhh.. poor doggies.. Why is it that Black and White dogs are harder to foster out? Seems a bit strange to us (and mom) cos both Hershey and I are black and white and it was a 'pre-requisite' for our mom. Guess we are just lucky...
Hope those doggies all go to forever homes who will love and care for them.

  8. We're purring that these doggies get a chance at a forever home!

  9. It's very sad for these pups that Carrol has neighbors that not only can't be part of the solution, they've become the problem. We hope these pups find Forever Homes fast.

  10. We're all sad about this. We wish we could help.

  11. Those neighbours are unbelievable. From here, all we can do is purr, and purr, and purr...

  21. I wagged over to see all those unfortunate dogs. Paws crossed some kind leggeded will adopt and give them they love they want. They will get their love back tenfold.

    Wiry wags Eric xx

  22. Oh, this poor sweet lady and those sweet dogs are still not out of the woods? What is wrong with those neighbors of hers anyway? :( I will hope and pray things work out.
I hope you all at the Funny Farm are doing really well. You are such a wonderful family! I enjoyed the Gizzy Quilt battle. I hope Jan's cut isn't too bad.
