Perfectly Oiled Machine
Buddy: Getting older has its advantages. When it's cold I sometimes get special privileges. I love a soft bed with my own quilt.
I also have my own walking coat. Yep, I'm one lucky canine.
Rusty: But you stayed home today when Merci and Marcus took Jan walking? You said you didn't feel up to it. I assumed your arthritis was acting up What's lucky about that?
Buddy: I stayed home. Marcus left the house and went walking. You figure it out.
Rusty: Oh, right. Marcus is away. The house is peaceful and quiet. Except, that is, for your snoring.
Buddy: I don't snore!
Rusty: You snore like a broken buzz saw.
Buddy: If I snored - and I don't! - I would sound like a perfectly oiled machine.
Rusty: Okay, so the next time I hear you not snoring, don't blame me if I oil your machine.

Salmon Dog Treats
Buddy: Why are you squinting at Jan.
Marcus: I'm not squinting at Jan. I'm squinting at what Jan has in her hand. She used that treat to get me to not act up while she locked the door and came down the steps.
Merci: But you did act up. You screeched and hollered so the neighbors could hear you.
Marcus: Ah, but there was only one screeching episode and I didn't scare Merci by screaming in her face and I didn't grab the leash to pull Jan down the steps faster. So I was a very well-behaved boy. I had better get that treat!
Merci: Today we are taste testing the Pet Botanics Simply Salmon. It is organic, hardwood smoked, has Omega fatty acids and comes in cutlets and strips.
Buddy: According to the bag, there are no antibiotics or hormones, artificial colors or flavors. It is fresh salmon from Norwegian waters.
Marcus: Made from two ingredients - salmon and sea salt - nothing else. And packaged in the United States.
Buddy: Can I have that one Jan?
Merci: I'm right here. Can I have mine now?
Buddy: Don't yell at me, Jan. I know you said to wait but Marcus ate his anyway and I have to eat mine before he steals it.
Merci: I'm the only one who actually waited. I know it's here. I can smell it.
Percy: Hey, I smell salmon. Why haven't I been given any? (That's Marcus's nose in the lower left corner. He's policing the treats.)
Marcus: Because they're dog treats. You get away from our treats.
Percy: But I love salmon.
Percy: Thanks, Jan. This is delicious. Oh, if you're going to share with the other cats, I'll accompany you so Marcus doesn't mug you.
Merci: You'll only accompany her so you can beg for extra pieces.
Percy: Of course, isn't that what you would do?
Buddy: Poor Merci. It's tough getting old. She's still checking to be sure she didn't miss any crumbs.
Marcus: The Pet Botanics Salmon dog treats are given the paw of approval by all of us dogs and cats.
We were given a package of the salmon strips and the cutlets to taste for this review. We received no payment and Pet Botanics is not responsible for the content.

I Have Leash
Marcus: Nobody leaves here for a walk without me! Seriously!
Jan was about to hitch us dogs up for a walk when the phone rang and she got distracted. When she finally got off the phone, it was getting dark. The leashes were missing. Guess where they were?
Yep, I'd moved them all into my Private Dining Car and was guarding them with my life!
Buddy grumbled and said he didn't want to go out into the cold night and Merci pretended she didn't hear Jan calling, so no one did leave for a walk without me. In fact, I was the only one available to take Jan for a walk.
We had a lot of fun. Or at least I did. I'm not so sure about her, although she did say I behaved better than I usually do.
I'm ready to go again, but Jan seems a little reluctant to go walking in the dark. Guess she needs a pair of night goggles. And a sense of adventure.
I have leash. Would anyone like an escort?

Inspector Buddy
Rusty: Buddy and Merci have had a turn to show off their new beds. (The Perfect Size and Musical Beds) Today Marcus gets to show off his. Jan brought it home just over a week ago.
Marcus: Buddy, what are you doing in my bed?
Buddy: I'm the official bed inspector/tester here. You can't have a new bed unless I make sure it's safe.
Marcus: How could it not be safe?
Buddy: It could bite.
Marcus: How many times have you ever been bitten by a bed?
Buddy: Well, never, but it could happen!
Marcus:: Thank you for inspecting my new bed but it's time to go sleep in your own.
Buddy: Okay. I'll send you my bill.
Marcus: Hey, Jan, can we get some better light over here? Oh, okay, but I'll remember this when you need me to model again..
Rusty: Don't worry. Your friends will understand you have to work with what you have and what you have is Jan.
Marcus: This is my new bed. Jan, I'm a big guy. I'm also the star of this post, yet you missed me. No, my shoulder doesn't count as on target.
Buddy: Oh, I don't know. It's kind of nice to see a headless picture of you.
Marcus: Here I am in my new bed. Finally!
Buddy: Yes, we dogs got new beds for early Christmas presents, and just in time. It's going down into the 20sF for the next couple of nights. It's going to be cold in here. What am I saying? It's already cold in here.
Rusty: Jan said if she needs to buy anything else, she'll have to rob a bank, but one of you dogs will have to drive the getaway car. Marcus, I hope you have a license because the rest of us will never get in a car with Buddy in the front seat again!
Marcus: A license? We don't even have a car!
We are joining the Pet Parade hosted by Rascal and Rocco, Basil the Bionic Cat, Barking from the Bayou and Owned by a husky.
