Percy: We are just going to do a quick post to make you smile today.
Buddy: Last week we posted the 2 videos of the cat with his new hammock.
Cyndi: This week we have a short video with two bear cubs in a hammock.
Merci: Can they make it into the hammock without a mishap?
Micah: And can they stay in it?
Rusty: Watch the fun and don't be afraid to laugh.
Marcus: Hey, guys, why don't we ask Jan if we can have a hammock. They look like such fun.
Sam: You think you're so smart jumping over the gates Jan uses to keep us out of the bedroom.
Cameron: I'd sure like to see you leap in a hammock and fall out the other side like the cat in the video did.
Marcus: Oh, I forgot about that. How about a bean bag instead?

Yesterday was Cameron's birthday and Mika, Coda and Lexus and their mom from Love is being owned by a husky sent him a card today. (It's never too late to keep celebrating, is it!)

Tagging Bears and Funny Farmers
Hey, Cotton here. Jan must be using a mini camera. I had to bend down to get my face in the photo. Okay, actually I was bending down to pick up a treat. But same effect. I look short.
Jan is still hogging the computer for her projects, but we want you to know we've been thinking of you, so she gave us 5 seconds .... um, maybe that's 5 minutes? Anyway, I have to post quickly.
This is a video we've seen a number of times and it always makes us laugh. Rick Mercer helps to tag a black bear mom and snuggles her 3 very young cubs. It's a highly technical procedure (snicker!) and involves an aluminum snow shovel for protection and a jab stick for .. well, for jabbing. Tagging works best if Mom bear sleeps through the tag exchange. Enjoy.
If the video doesn't play, click here.
And speaking of tagging , we need to be tagged. Well, not us exactly, but our photos do. Jan can't find us. Of course, she can't find much of anything around here, but she claims being able to find our photos by a name search would help with our blog and designs.
If you remember (yeah, right, as if your memory is any better than ours!), a couple of years ago Jan spent days tagging all the photos on the computer in Photoshop Elements so she could find our photos easily. But PE went berserk and had to be reinstalled. When it was, the tags were missing. So Jan is reluctantly tagging all our photos in the Picasa program - on the computer (not online). Hopefully, this time the tags will stick with the files.
2006 is done. We figure she should be finished 2012 in time to add 2013.
Seriously, this is just one of several projects on her to-do list, the list we keep hiding and she keeps rewriting. We're keeping up with blogging news as best we can, while popping in and out and blog hopping when the typing chair is vacated for a short break, so don't think we're ignoring you.
Have a fun weekend. We're going to catch some extra zzzzzzs. Watching Jan tag photos is booorrrring!

Cotton, Fishing with Bears
Hey, Cotton here with a quick post before I get kicked off the computer. We all enjoyed this video so much we decided to share it. National Georgraphic photographer Michael Melford tells how he captured some of his beautiful shots of bears salmon fishing.
We figure salmon fishing would be great fun but we're not sure we'd like to compete with the bears for food. They look pretty serious and they're way bigger even than Sam.
We Funny Farmers hope Jan will sell lots of t-shirts and gifts in her zazzle store so we won't have to go fish with the bears to survive. We have Adopt A Shelter Pet, Spay and Neuter designs and our latest is Rescue Pets Rock. So if you know any rescuers, rescue groups, or animal-loving rescue supporters, we hope you will pass along the link for us.
Enjoy the video. It's really interesting.

Cotton Votes Pike County
It's me, Cotton. Jan turned me into a mosaic cat design a while back and the guys thought they'd embarrass me by posting it today.
But I don't embarrass easily so the joke is on them. I'm good-looking no matter what Jan does to my photos. I know because Jan constantly tells me what a beautiful girl I am, even if I am 11 years old.
We thought we'd share this cute video with you today, a grizzly in a bucket.
If the video doesn't play, click here.
Our neighbors in Pike County, Georgia have no animal control and no shelter. Friends of Pike County Animals (FPCA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization (currently seeking 501 (c) 3 status) We hope you can spare a minute - daily until January 31 - to vote for FPCA for the Pepsi $50,000 grant.
You can vote for them at Create an animal adoption & education center in rural Pike County, GA.
And please pass this on and ask your friends to vote. We all know how important it is that any community's animals have an advocate. They are not a well-known organization with lots of followers so they will need your help to win.

Mama Bear Rescues Cub
Jan has worked all weekend on JFF Fair, trying to post things for sale, so we only have a few minutes to publish something before she closes down for the night. So we have a video for you. Mama Bear rescuing Baby Bear from a fishing net. Enjoy

Have a purring and tail wagging day. And stop by JFFF to check out the latest postings.

Wolf Fishing
We saw the neatest news story with photos and video and we want to share it with everyone.
Have you ever seen a wolf catch salmon? Neither have we and since we don't live in Alaska, we probably never will. We'd ask Jan to take us up there to watch the bears and wolves fish, but we know what Jan would say: NO! You guys can't behave for 5 straight minutes. Why would I want to take you on an airplane where everyone would notice your behavior?
Jan, we do behave for 5 straight minutes! We are perfect ladies and gentlemen when we are sleeping!
But back to the fishing wolf story and video. You have to see this to believe how fast this wolf is. She appears, grabs a fish and trots off. A bear is also fishing, but ..... watch the video for yourself.
