April, Divas and New Blogger

Hey, Percy here.  We hadn't planned to post today but we were asked a question about the new Blogger interface and decided to put up a quick link that might help those of you who have recently been switched to the new Blogger interface and are having problems.  Your input and patience can help Blogger fix things.

But first we'd like to express our condolences to Amber DaWeenie's family..  The mom has been dealing with Benji's cancer and then April 's sudden illness.  April died at the vet's office yesterday and we know she is very missed!  Love, pawhugs and hugs to Mom Linda.

We haven't been posting or commenting for a week or so.  Among other negatives, our car has been down for 2 weeks and Jan has been having to hike and haul, so her pain level is high and her sense of humor non-existent.  We're just trying to stay out of her way so she doesn't trip over us.  We advise you to do the same.

Oh, as most of you already know, today Truffle and Brulee are celebrating Show Your Diva in remembrance of Sweet Praline.  It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since she left.  Time passes, pain eases, but our furries are forever missed.

Even though we're behind in the news, we are aware Blogger has been shifting everyone over to the new interface and it's causing many headaches among bloggers.  We switched a number of months ago so we could try to learn the new while still having access to the old when necessary.   And sometimes it was necessary.

Hopefully, this article can explain enough to help you weather the problems associated with the changes.  You aren't the only ones having them, so they will have to be fixed sooner or later.

Better Get Into The New Blogger GUI Soon - And Tell Blogger What Problems You Find

You can browser the problems in the link they give or join the group and post your own. As irritated as we get with Blogger sometime, when it works it's good. And within our budget. (Free.)

Now I'm crossing my paws and hoping this actually publishes.

  1. I wish I could find the dashboard AFTER I log in. It's the first thing I see (my hman blog) when I log in but after that..hey..I cant find it so as to see who blogged. Makes me so MaD! I like to blog first THEN see who blogged, but finding the dashboard after I blog is not within my abilities.

  2. Aw, poor Jan, we're sending her head butts and purrs, seems like things are tough right now. It's hard to find one's sense of humour when Mr. Murphy pays an extended visit.

We were sorry to read about April, even though we didn't know her. We left our purrs...It's so hard, so devastating.

And it's hard to believe it's already a year since Sweet Praline passed. She definitely was quite the diva. :-)

The mom says she's so glad she switched to the new Blogger interface a while ago too. It took her a while, because when it was first made available she hated it and went right back to the old. But after using the new one in the Tabby Cat Club, she realized it wasn't that difficult at all and switched both her Blogger accounts to the new interface.

  6. We can certainly understand why Jan has not been in a great mood lately. We sure hope the car gets fixed, especially since Jan has been in so much pain.

We were very sorry to hear that April had to run off to the Bridge, and are purring and praying for her family.

We still miss our pal Sweet Praline. But we bet she is purring and smiling today, knowing that so many around the CB are getting in touch with their inner Diva. :)

The new interface isn't terrible, but we certainly don't love it. And there have definitely been a few annoyances. Thank you for sharing that helpful article!

    Hugs!

Sorry to hear about the car. I understand how inconvenient that is.
I agree with you about the new GUI.
It's not bad, but it's just the change. I think we all hate changes.
    Hope things are better soon!

  13. Blogger has made the change for us - we didn't. However, our post is up and no one has reported that they had trouble viewing it. Just when you think you've figured it out - things change again! Thanks for the link.

We we've left a message on Amber's page, so sorry to hear of April's passing.

Hope the car is up and running soon!!

  18. Thanks for posting this link. We are slowly getting used to the new interface.

I am sorry about your car and your pain. Our car is about 87 million years old and is slowly falling apart. We are hoping it will last a little bit longer ...

    Your pal, Pip

  19. We tried the new Blogger, and switched back as long as they let us. We do not like the new version, and have informed blogger we don't. It is not as user friendly, and everything takes two times longer. We scheduled a blog entry and it didn't happen. It takes several guesses to find stuff. We are not against good change, but don't think this change is so good.

  20. Doesn't seem possible that Sweet Praline has been gone for a year now. There are so many of our dear friends that we miss. Sent purrs to April's family and so sorry that another has left us.
Thanks for your help with the new blogger. As you know the mom here knows enough to get herself into a lot of trouble.
Sorry that the car is not working and you are having to walk about. Take care!
