The Final Peak

Merci:  What?  Did I just hear Jan say this is our final Peak post? 

Marcus:  Yes, she did.  Eat slowly to make it last.  After that, we have to post our final thoughts on this food.

Merci:  I like this Rachel Ray Peak kibble.  The Northern Woodlands turkey, duck and quail tastes good!  And Jan likes that it has no grains, glutens or fillers.

Merci:  I'm getting a lot of compliments on my looks.  My coat is a deep red with thick curly fur.

Buddy:  Jan claims my stools, which are usually soft and messy, have become better formed and it is easier to clean up after me.  I wouldn't know.  I never worry about the cleanup. 

Marcus:  Jan has not mixed any canned food with our kibble this past month and we've all enjoyed our meals.  She feared I would become more hyper but I'm still the same old screeching, in-your-face, lovable guy I've always been.

Buddy:  Merci and I didn't gain more energy but we're old dogs.  Jan has been sick the past couple weeks and she hasn't walked us every day as usual, but we are ready to go walking when she does.

Merci:  What are you singing now?

Marcus:  We're almost out of the Rachel Ray Peak.  I asked Jan if she is going to buy us some more but she said she's sorry, it's out of our limited budget range.

Buddy:  I'm sorry to hear this is the last of it, but we have enjoyed eating it for a month.   It would be nice to thank Chewy for the opportunity to taste test the food.

Marcus:  Okay.  ♫ ♫  Thank you, Chewy.  From Huey, Dooly and Tooty. ♫ ♫

Buddy: What are you singing now.  And who are Huey, Dooly and Tooty?

Marcus:  You just said to say thank you.  You didn't say who should do it.

Funny Farmer Felines Return

Percy:  Yes, you are reading this correctly.  We felines are coming out of retirement and resuming the Mousebreath interviews. 

Cyndi:  We have the material for the first three and are looking for cats who would like to sit down with us and spill their guts.

Micah:  I think "spill your guts" might scare off the shy kitties.  How about this -  we're looking for some cats who would like to sit down with us, talk about themselves and share some photos.

Cyndi:  Okay.  Whatever works.  But I was hoping they would spill their guts.  You know, their deep, dark secrets.

Rusty:  They will when they answer our questions.  We interviewed such a wide variety of cats.  Some were funny, some were quiet, there were some involved with fostering, and ... The variety is endless.

Taylor:  The interviews were before my time.  My picture isn't even on our ID badge. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

Micah:  Don't worry.  We'll all help you and you'll pick up the skills in no time.

Dr. Seuss Day 2017

Percy, Sam, Buddy, Cotton.

Percy:  And embarrassed I am.  This is an old Dr. Seuss graphic. 

Buddy:  I know it is, but Jan is sick and the internet was out for most of two days, and then we have severe storms coming as we write this tonight so we have to do this in time to shut down safely.

Percy:  I'm sorry.  I shouldn't have said I'm embarrassed.  This is from a fun time when Sam and Cotton were still with us.

Buddy:  We had fun with all the Farmers we've lost over the years and occasions like Dr. Seuss Day bring back happy memories, don't they!

Percy:  They sure do and I've reconsidered.  I'm proud to be re-using a graphic reminding us of two great memories.

Buddy:  Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Percy:  I don't think he can hear you.  He died in 1991 at age 87.

Buddy:  That's okay.  He left a great legacy of books for children of all ages.  Once a year even Jan is a kid at heart.

Percy:  If she cooks green eggs and ham for our breakfast, will you eat them?

Buddy:  Hey, if she cooks us purple ham with orange polka dots for breakfast, I'll be so thankful, and I'll sure eat my share.


Percy:  Hmmm, I wonder why Dr. Seuss never wrote about purple ham with orange polka dots?

Buddy:  I don't know.  Maybe he didn't have much imagination.


We always have much to be thankful for, so we are joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop at Brian's Home.

Rusty is 13

Cyndi: Happy birthday, dear Rusty.  We love you like a brother and we want you to know how much we appreciate your good nature.

Merci:  And we're thankful for your good nature today since we are so late publishing for your special day.

Percy:  For once it wasn't Jan's fault.

Taylor:  Oh?  So who's fault was it?  I know I didn't hit any wrong keys.

Buddy:  For once it wasn't Jan's fault and it wasn't yours either, Taylor.  I have a sneaky suspicion it was Winton's (Win 10) fault. 


Jan:  If anyone noticed we didn't post today and wondered why, we lost our browsers yesterday.  It's a very long, complicated story but I accidentally resolved it today.  The Funny Farmers are innocent.  And so am I.  Winton, however, needs to stop sneaking around behind the scenes and creating chaos. 

Kudos to the nice guy at my ISP who went out of his way to help verify the internet was working.  Everything with it worked except all 3 browsers - FF, Edge & IE - could not connect.  Boos to my ISP for wanting me to pay them to "fix any problems or viruses".  Kudos to my antivirus support for responding so quickly this morning to let me know it was NOT a virus.  And a bucketful of kudos to Mr. Doug who didn't get upset when I found the solution just as he was arriving.  (He took me shopping instead.)
