Blessed Sunday for Shelly
MICAH: We weren't going to post today but when we read Frankie & Ernie's, we decided this is the perfect day to post a prayer request.
CYNDI: Some of you read Amber daWeenie's blog and are aware of how sick her human sissy Shelly is and that her mom Linda has been traveling 2 hours or more each way to visit her.
PERCY: It has been a very intense trial for the family. Just a few days after Jan's aborted flight/fall in early February, they nearly lost Shelly. It has been and continues to be a long uphill road for them.
SAM: Ann of Zoolatry made three badges to let folks know there is a need and how they can help. She asked everyone to share them to help spread the news.
BUDDY: This one is for an upcoming auction. Do you have an item or more to donate? Follow the steps below.
MERCI: A good friend of Shelly's set up a GoFundMe account to help raise funds. More of Shelly's story is posted there.
RUSTY: We realize not everyone will be able to donate to the auction or the fundraiser.
MARCUS: But anyone can pray for the family. Have a blessed Sunday.

Leaky Memory
Percy: It's kind of late and we don't have a post idea for tomorrow.
Buddy: So we thought we would do a special post for Jan.
Marcus: We're doing this for Jan? I thought this is for old folks.
Merci: Don't tell Jan we said this, but Jan is an old folk.
Micah: I think you mean an old fogey.
Cyndi: Yes, an old folk and an old fogey. She's certainly an oldie who is out of fashion.
Sam: This is the Senior Serenity Prayer.
May God grant us:
the memory lapse to forget the people we never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones we do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.
Rusty: Perhaps we better mention, Jan is not senile. She just has a leaky memory.
Cameron: We never forget things. Hey, do any of you remember where Jan put the TV remote?
Don't forget the Pet Parade giveaway. It ends Thursday, 8/21 at midnight.
Oh, good. I get to do the closing. You can read the details and enter the giveaway here.

Statue of Limitations
Micah: Have we decided what we're thankful for this week, guys?
Cyndi: Well, for starters, we should be thankful Jan survived last week.
Meci: Yes, it truly was a painful week for her and she's still trying to recuperate from everything that happened.
Marcus: I don't understand how one person can have so many accidents/injuries in one short week. Isn't there a statue of limitations on accidents?
Sam: You mean statute of limitations, Marcus, and that would only apply if Jan committed a crime. Being a klutz or being in the wrong place at the right time - or is that being in the right place at the wrong time? - whichever, it isn't a crime. It's just unfortunate.
Cameron: Well, I'm thankful the West Paw Hurley bone has survived this long with Marcus. It's the first toy he hasn't been able to destroy in a short time period and he's been giving it a daily workout.
Marcus: I'm quite disappointed with it, personally. What good is a toy I can't destroy? I intend to keep working on it until I find its weak spot.
Buddy: On the serious side, we want to join the other bloggers in prayer for the well being and safety of all those impacted by or still in the path of the terrible storms crossing the country this week.
Rusty: We had two nights of storms and were expecting another last night, but so far we've been fortunate here. Many humans have lost everything - home, pets, loved ones.
Percy: Yes, sometimes we forget how much we have to be thankful for. What about you? Are you thankful for anything in particular today?
