We have been wanting to post on this special project for over a couple of weeks now but Jan was too lazy (she says it's been too cold) to wash the car so she could take photos for us. She did finally say she would, but Superstorm Sandy changed our weather and Jan was too chicken to get wet. What's a little cold hose water when it's for a good cause - your furries?
When we had a decent afternoon, did she wash and wax the car? Nope! She hosed and wiped it down and spray painted the rusting spots. The weather is now officially cold, so we have given up hope of having a clean, shiny car to show off our group photo. If you are truly our friends, you will pretend not to notice the mismatched painted backdrop.
This is one of our two matching custom car magnets from Signazon.com.
It took Jan like two forevers to design it. Having 8 of us to fit on it is no excuse for being slow. See how we can scrunch together when necessary?
We thought it would be one of those super thin magnets for the car but it's not. The colors came out really sharp, even the "blue sky with clouds" background.
Here is Cyndi checking one out.
We ordered two custom 8" x 6" magnets. This would look really good on a clean, waxed door with matching paint, wouldn't it? What a good-looking bunch of furries!
But this is what Jan likes. (She blued out the license number.)
These are the reasons why we couldn't leave them on the car at this time -
2. Be sure all surface paints, clear coats and waxes are cured or hardened. Paint takes a minimum of 90 days to cure; clear coat a minimum of 60 days.
3.The vehicle should be clean and dry before attaching the sign.
We saved the magnets for the spring when Jan will finally - or so we hope! - be able to give the clunker a good bath and a polish.
The magnets arrive rolled up and we just put them on the fridge door for a couple days to straighten out and then they were ready to use. We were emailed instructions when the order was sent.
If any of you are looking to buy magnets to advertise your blog or your store, you could have some fun designing your own magnets. We did. Well, we enjoyed it cause Jan did the work. She would have enjoyed it but she stresses over everything. There is a lot of creative talent among you pet bloggers and you could then put your human to work tooling around town advertising for you.
Also, if there is a special event coming up - a large pet adoption day or a big fundraiser - car magnets would be a great way to tell the community about it.

Be creative! Have fun!
We received two car magnets in order to write this review, but we were not paid. And our words are our own.

That is a cool sign fer a car. Bigger than we realized at first!
Hey we love it!
Jan you did a superb job of design work.
Ditto--looks fantastic, and what an awesome design job!
Those magnets look GREAT! Then again, with your beautiful selves on it, how could it not look great? :)
That's really cool!
Great job on the sign Jan!
The lady could relate to the old jalopy. Your attempted paint job has given her ideas. She had pretty much given up on her 24 year old dented, scraped, and rusted hunk of junk (that still runs fine). But, she might spray paint a few spots!
I love your sign gang, it's right fancy!
Great pic of you all. I downloaded it for my furriends album, because I don't have one with all of you together.
Jan designed a great magnet. Those folks did a great job on the magnets. I will certainly keep them in mind if I ever need a magnet for anything.
Great magnet for the car and so glad Jan could get you all close to each other to all fit in. Not to worry about detailing the car that seems not to get done here either. Though I will say that mom's car got partially detailed this fall. Nope, she didn't do it. Actually I guess you could say a deer did. This is what happened~one night a deer decided to hit the mom's car. The didn't think there was a lot of damage but there really was. The car had to be towed as it was leaking from under the hood. Well the nice car folks when they fixed the car detailed the inside of the car and washed up the outside really nice. Oh,are you wondering about the deer? It is now an angel. Poor thing mom felt really sorry about the deer. I am sad too but think he really wasn't nice to mess up our car.
The magnets are great - we think Jan did well to get you all on it together.
