Praying Dog Interview, Parker & Tia

 Percy -
Oh, hi.  You caught me napping.  Just give me a second and I'll introduce today's post.  *Wipes sleep from eyes.*  Okay, I'm ready.

Thousands of viewers have enjoyed the YouTube video of Stephen Boyd's praying dog. There is a story behind this, a story of a disabled vet and an agressive dog on the eve of being PTS. Each one rescued the other. It's a heartwarming story. And you can watch the interview here.

We join with Parker's mom - and all other humans (and pets) who live with diabetes- in remembering November is Diabetes Awareness Month.  You too can help Parker raise awareness by adding the graphic to your sidebar and/or posting about it.  As Parker said, "diabetes sux!"  Click on Parker's photo to visit her blog post.

Tia is very sick and the vet bills mounted so quickly in just one night her mom had to take her home because she was worried about paying the bill.  She has taken the day off work to take care of Tia and will have to take her back to the vet tomorrow unless there is an emergency before then.  She has added a donate button on her blog to help with expenses.  We send her and her mom lots of warm purrs and gentle tail wags.  You can visit to leave kind words and/or a donation at Cuddles and Catnip blog.

Thanks for sharing this Jan - I had not realized the story behind the story. And I'm sorry to hear about Tia. I hope they are able to get the money and take care of the vet bills. I am still paying on Lakota's bills - she spent 3 nights in the ER. I know how hard that is, and am so thankful my vet is a friend and the hospital is willing to let me make payments or I don't know what I'd have done. She needed IVs and was not well. I hope she gets the donations she needs.

Thanks for sharing the rest of this story. It looks like just a cute little news item -- but the faith at the center of it, even if expressed in an off-beat way, has a truth that shines through.
