Even though we included Fat Eric in today's post http://jansfunnyfarm.blogspot.com/2010/08/cold-feet-and-fat-eric.html, we are including him here too.
And then this morning we read the post on Luxor's blog by his mom. He had to be helped to the bridge this morning after a sudden turn for the worse. We used to enjoy his blog and were sad it was nearly closed after Lux got sick on a trip and they learned he had a heart problem. We're very sad for his mom.
We see tributes to both of these Cat Blogsphere legends around the blogs. They were well-loved and will be missed.

We just read the latest post on Wintergreen (Winnie) and it seems only fitting to come back and to add her today. A tiny seriously ill kitten rescued and loved for all of one day. Such a short time. She deserves to be remembered too.
On 8/17 her rescuer/new human wrote a post titled Heartbreak and today's is Tribute to an Angel. If you haven't read either, we hope you will go do so. Have some tissues handy.

Yep, sure has been on heck of a sad CB day.
Yes, there has been too much sadness in the CB the past couple days - we are sending purrs and prayers for all of them and their families.
We had been following Winnie's story and hoping for the best, it's so sad when they go so young.
We didn't know Eric very well but his family must be comforted by the outpouring of love today.
Luxor was one of the first cat blogs I started reading, what a wonderful boy he was!
We are sad today for the losses of all of these kitties.
This is one of the saddest days in the Catblogosphere. Our eyes won't stop leaking. We send comforting purrs to Eric's, Luxie's and Winnie's families.
Today has been a very sad day and we will miss our friends.
Oh it's a horrible day for CB, horrible. :-(

This was too sad of a day. Too many of our friends left to go to the bridge. It is hard to say good bye even though we know that someday we will all see each other again. My thoughts and prayers are with all!
